In the very beginning I was actually ambivalent of how to see Cheng Gong, whether I should even pity him or not. But after the past few episodes I'd like to see him punished. I hope his wife divorces him and he ends with nothing in the end, as beggar on the street, who lost everything. This man is so despicable. I can't stand him anymore. He deserves a hard beating and punishing. Learned nothing from his stay in prison.

Totally agree with you. Also I wonder, how come that the behaviour of a woman is always questioned? No matter what she does, people always criticize women. While nobody ever confronted the perpetrator with harsh questions on his behavior. We all see that the way Mr Cheng Gong behaves towards other people is highly manipulative and toxic. Why does nobody question whether he is not aware of how his behaviour might be perceived by a shy, young female emplyoee? From a psychological point of view the females behaviour can be explained quite well. But they don't even consult a psychologist or therapist. In cases of sexual assault and rape, the victim is traumatized. Instead of consulting a therapist, the police questions her alone and Cheng Gong's laywer even arranges meetings between him and the victim outside of the whole investigation. That's what really shocks me though. Yes, unfortunately the way things are shown in the drama is very realistic and also shocking, because in my opinion from the first second on the victim should have gotten therapeutic assitance.

You didn't miss anything relevant then. ^^ Yeah, the representation of women is quite good though. And just in case that at some point you feel like talking to other fans and interacting about the drama, I have a Discord Server for Be Reborn. It's rather inactive at the moment and the group is small, but it is still open for everyone who wants to join the small community. I liked the drama so much that I even wrote fanfictions again though.

It is really more a she runs after him thing. And there are only few scenes in which they interact. He cares for his friends, because they are his only friends though. I believe both were only in, so that the bad guys have someone to blackmail him with. Maybe they also just included the girl to prevent people from going wild with homoerotic fantasies. From what I remember though, you shouldn't really miss anything if you skip the scenes in which Zhiyue appears though, only in the very end of the last episode you should watch it, because after he meets her something interesting happens which will be a foreshadowing. Hope you can still enjoy the drama though. Personally I loved it and didn't mind the female characters.

But they had a female cop who was quite likeable. Personally I don't understand why they had to include Su Ying since Liao Shuang was such a nice female cop. I really liked her and she could have gotten more screentime in my opinion. I had the impression they included Su Ying to have some kind of counterpart, someone who doubts Wenjie and creates obstacles for the father son relationship between Wenjie and Captain Luo. I think Wenjie would have been much more honest with Captain Luo if Su Ying didn't appear. Due to her Captain Luo acted a little but too emotional towards Wenjie, which caused Wenjie to go in defensive mode. But maybe the really just added more female characters to satisfy the censor or some quote.

There is no romance. Only some kind of father son like relationship between the protagonists. There is another female cop of the same rank later in the series, but to me she and Captain Luo appeared more like rivals. Also there is a female student who likes Wenjie and treats him well, but there is no real romance, only maybe in the very last episode at the end some kind of foreshadowing that there might be romance between Wenjie and that student, but it is never actually shown. During the drama they barely interact with each other. It focusses a lot on the cases.

That's what I also thought :) They did a good job in making him look so different without glasses. Also with the cap in EP 15 he looked completely different, even his chin and nose were different. I also think that there was a deeper meaning behind this, like showing physically that he consists of more than one person and switches personalities.

After watching the scene between ML and his father at the police station I also thought that Yoon Woo was truly shocked when he realized that he destroyed everything he could have had. I somehow believe that he wasn't truly evil but developed some kind of jekyll-hyde personality disorder. So when ML and FL talked about going back in time in the end of today's episode I also wondered whether they might be able to go back and fix Yoon Woos past to prevent all the murders from happening.

I am. :) You were indeed right and I'm relieved about that. Episode 15 at least to me was satisfying and it is really amazing how the actor managed to look completely differently without the glasses and with the cap. Korean Crime Dramas are really the best. :) Now I hope that the ML and FL manage to get back to their time and reunite there again. *crosses fingers for them*

I still think that the person with the cap in the trailer has a different chin and nose and thus can't be Yoon Woo. The nose of Yoon Woo with glasses has bigger nostrils than the nose of the person with the cap in the trailer. At least that's my impression. However I wonder why should the actor change during the drama so much, that his chin and nose look suddenly different from when he is wearing no glasses? Only to make us wonder if it is the same person? Wouldn't that a bit too much? And can the camera position really create the impression of the nostrils being much smaller than when he wears glasses? Not sure about that.

I think they believe that the person with the Cap in the Trailer is Yeon Woo. Personally I don't believe that. The nose and chin of the person with the cap in the trailer look different from Yeon Woo's chin and nose in my oppinion. Thus I'm also not convinced and looking forward impatiently for episode 15 :) This drama is really good, making us guess untill the very end.

Where in the Preview did you see him commiting the murder? Do you have a link? I'm also still not convinced about the murderer. In the Preview I discovered there is a guy with a cap, but I have the impression it is a new person. His chin and nose at least to me look differently from the facial features of ML's father. Thus somehow I doubt that is the same person. But I may be wrong. Maybe the impression is created due to the camera position. I also have the impression that maybe we have two version's of ML's father running around - one is a time traveller already, the other one is the one with the glasses. Also I still wonder why the killer in the original timeline did also kill women who did not read but still left that note? I'm curious how they will explain this though. Because at the moment only two women, the one he killed and the one he tried to kill but failed actually read. While other victims didn't fall in that category.

Su Ying was indeed a quite annoying character. I felt as if she was only introduced to mess up the growing trust between Zhuang Wenjie and Captain Luo. Wenjie was about to tell Captain Luo everything he had hidden from him, just when Su Ying appeared. I had the impression Captain Luo was quite stressed about her appearance as well and thus reacted in a way that made Wenjie hide things from him again. I didn't drop and just overlooked Su Ying. Thus I was able to enjoy the drama despite her appearance.

I loved this drama. The first 5 episodes are indeed the best, but personally I also liked the mastermind behind all these cases. He was such a great villian in my opinion. From what I notice is that not everyone liked the drama. Wang Junkai who plays Zhuang Wenjie obviously is one of these actors you can either like or dislike. As for me I like him and could relate a lot to Wenjie. On a deeper psychological level I undestood why he did, what he did and thus felt sympathy for him. Also I loved the father-son relationship between Captain Luo und Zhuang Wenjie. The only character I somehow disliked was Su Ying who appears later. The question is, why did you drop the drama in the first place? What was it that was missing for you to continue watching? If you tell me, I might be able to give you a better advice on whether you should continue watching or not, since my taste does not necessarily be your taste. So I can't judge from my perspective whether you should continue or not.

Yeah, that's also what I think, that more than one person is involved. Just watched episode 6 and it stays mysterious and interesting. Really love how the drama develops so far. :)

Somehow I have this feeling, as if in the murder cases we have two culprits. While everyone thinks there is one murderer, maybe there have been actually two - one who threatened the women and harmed them, but left them alive and another one who killed them, shortly after the first person hurt them.
