please don't say that I'l kill myself TTI hate that kinda ending the most.....this is one of the reason I didn't…
Relax. These are just theories. We don't know what will happen at all. Time Loop is only one of the explanations I find for Yoon Seo's strange comment in the beginning. She clearly states that she feels as if she has been there before. The writer probably made her say that for a reason. Maybe she is a psychic or possessed by the ghost girl? Or maybe she really has been there but forgot about it. Maybe she has been a member of the other class and survived once already. Later on she lost her memories about that event, transfered school and is coming back with a new class now. This would also be a possibility though. The host doesn't neccessarily have to be someone of the class either. It could be someone else, hiding in the building. That the teachers were suddenly gone could mean, that someone killed them beforehand or the teachers support the evil game. There are many possibilities though. :)
Why do I feel like the ending will be just like Alice in Borderland? The fact that only their class arrived makes…
I had a similar feeling. Somehow from the beginning on I had the impression that it's either similar to Alice in Borderland or Mirai Nikki. I wouldn't be surprised about such an ending though. But I like someone else's theory as well that maybe it's all some kind of Virtual Reality game. That we see the game Jung Won programs on her laptop.
What some people tend to misunderstand all the time: Only because someone thinks of a fictional character as interesting, does not mean at all that they approve any of the character's actions. On an abstract level I can find them interesting and still despise how the same character acts within the story. But if he does a good job on delivering his function of being a bad guy for example, I will like the character exactly for being a good villian. The same time I will passionately hate the actions of that villian.
As for Kyung Jun - I hate his actions in the story, but I'm still figuring out whether I like him or not on an abstract level of story development. I speak of him as interesting character, because I can't figure out yet, whether I will like him on that abstract level in the end or not. In addition what I find interesting is to find the psychological clues on why a character ends up making the most wrong decisions ever and what would make them act differently and change for the better?
Trying to understand is not the same es defending someone. I can understand or try to understand someone and still disapprove their actions. Don't mix up these.
That said let's move on to theories about what this whole game is all about. Is it some kind of virtual reality? Is it a dream? Are they stuck in a time loop? Is Jung Won the Host? Who is the ghost? What kind of relation is there between the ghost and Yoon Seo?
oh yes omg i cant understand this people on Tiki tok just because they find him Hot. He is a bully and a murder…
Again you jump to conclusions easily. Da Beom actually turned from a victim to a murderer himself. It was clearly revenge and not self-defence. You know that he was bullied that's why you defend his action. Only because you don't know Kyung Jun's past you conclude he must be a sociopath. Where is your proof?
And you know nothing about me. But you assume and conlude based on your assumptions. Should I now assume as well that you do this in real life and make up stories about people behind their backs, if you don't know anything about them? You should watch what you say though. I have my reaasons why I tend to stick more to myself. I know how it feels to be the victim of badmouthing and bullying.
And if you read my postings you would know that I clearly stated that me analyzing the characters does not excuse their behavior. I moved beyond wanting revenge. Because the best revenge is always to life a better life.
Also a good villian is in a story is a villian that causes you to think about them and hating them at the same time, creating strong and deep emotions. Whether Kyung Jun was a good bad guy I can only truly know when the drama is over. Before that all my assumptions are also only assumptions and never final judgements.
But you may continue to judge people easily based on your assumptions. It says more about yourself. There is also a difference in judging characters in dramas and judging people in real life though.
oh yes omg i cant understand this people on Tiki tok just because they find him Hot. He is a bully and a murder…
It actually might be that Kyung Jun only had these expressions due to the extreme situation they're in. Compared to him some of the others appeared rather expressionless. Maybe that's why I even noticed. Also some people here keep to missunderstand me trying to understand the characters with defending them. As an author myself I usually analyze each character in depth. Also to create better characters myself. If I find flaws and irregularities in the way they are shown I usually start with overthinking. Also I'm a fan of redemption arcs. And as I said mulptiple times before - something these people tend to ignore - I am aware that Kyung Jun moved beyond redemption already and that he is not interesting enough for me to move back time for him to give him a redemption arc. Some people obviosly are ignorant or love to misunderstand.
In the beginning I saw some irregularities as well. You remember the bus scene? When those in the back were really noisy? They didn't care whether someone else in the bus wants to sleep. Back then it was one of the bullies I think who stood up and told them to stop being that noisy. This was also the reason why I wondered later whether there is more to Kyung Jun's character or not. If he died for sure I guess I will accept the easy explanation. Thanks for reading and understanding what I mean though. :) But let's close the chapter of Kyung Jun. I saw you recommendation about the actor. I will give the other drama a try, since I'm always interested in watching new dramas.
Edit: Just re-watched episode one and noticed that it was not Kyung Jun who told the others to stop being that noisy and loud, but one of his friends.
He is an interesting character, but way to aggressive. I guess because he is a bully I would probably voted him…
I don't defend him, I want to understand him as I want to understand each character in a fictional story. That's a big difference. I would rather be a psychologist than a laywer. Because most criminals would probably get the death sentence or worse, if I were to judge them, since they reached the point beyond redemption already. That's because in reality we can't draw back time and redeem them before they reached the point of no return. That only works in fiction. However revenge is usually not the right solution. It only makes things worse. Da Beom by getting his revenge, turned from a victim to a murderer as well. With Da Beom you understand him, because you know that he was bullied. With Kyung Jun you don't because you know nothing about him. Untill the drama is over we don't know whether they actually were the same. However it might be that his facial expressions were simply caused by the extreme situation itself. I can't know yet. Being an overthinker I want to know and can't let go. Usually I always want to know the whole truth. That doesn't mean that in the end my judgement might be lenient. You jump to conclusions to easily. In the process of trying to understand and finding explanations there is no final judgement.
oh yes omg i cant understand this people on Tiki tok just because they find him Hot. He is a bully and a murder…
If the actor is really good then there must be a deeper meaning behind his facial expressions. And that's why I can't hate the character, even though I despise his actions. But if his facial expressions were meant to trigger the impression that there is more behind these contradicting expressions my inner detective wants to know what it is. That's what makes him interesting to me. This mystery of sad and lost facial expression. Also, in the end he almost looks like smiling. So if he really died and if he didn't want that to happen - why does he die with a smile on his lips? This again makes me wonder whether everything he did, he did on purpose because he wanted to die. Even though this would contradict some of his other actions. It's a mystery my inner detective wants to solve. However if he really died I don't really mind his death. My inner detective has other mysteries to wonder about even if this one is never solved. ^^
I was waiting for Kung Jun to die. Glad it was Da Beom who got the chance. For all the bullying he suffered.Da…
I don't sympathize with Bullies and Villians but usually I find Villians interesting. And that's usually not because their looks. In this drama the bullies are not hot in my opinion but their looks are rather average. Actually I think the class president is the hottest male from the whole class and I sympathize with him the most because he was willing to sacrifice himself for the sake of another person's life. He is a true hero and I hope he survives. As for the villians, a good villian is a villian you find disgusting and fascinating at the same time. Or a villian who was a former victim of a tragic past. The second type of villian is usually the type of villian I tend to give "what if - redemption arcs" in which I turn back time before the point of no return and make them regret and change their decisions in order to become better people. In terms of villians I usually like the first kind of villian better, because they raise the suspense. However I don't like pure brutality. That's what is really disgusting about the bullys in this drama. If it weren't for Kung Jun's strange facial expressions sometimes I would simply think of him as one of the most bothersome and annoying characters in the drama. But his facial expressions sometimes triggered my curiosity and I would have liked to know whether there is a deeper meaning or not? As for the plot, it's good to see that Da Beom got his revenge on his bullies though. However the Drama is not interesting enough for me to write fanfictions about it. Too much gore for my taste. I'm in for the detective part and the mystery part, wanting to know what's behind this whole game. What made me keep watching were all these questions about: what does FL's dream mean? why did she have the impression she was there already? what's the story behind the ghost? also what about FL's friend who is good with computers? and so on. all these questions keep me watching.
He is an interesting character, but way to aggressive. I guess because he is a bully I would probably voted him…
He is interesting because of these faccial expressions he has sometimes and which totally contradict his behavior. A typical bully to me is a person who never had any problems in life and just enjoys to be mean to other people, because they can due to their usually rich and powerful parents. But due to the facial expressions he shows sometimes I doubt that he is a typical bully but rather a former victim who decided to become a bully because he internalized that by being mean to others he can suppress his pain and prevent becoming a victim himself again. These facial expressions make him appear like someone who is in pain deep inside but only knows to show this by being aggressive to his surroundings. This doesn't justifiy his actions at all. Still it makes him different from a typical bully. Of course it could be bad acting as well and these facial expressions he has sometimes are accidental. Since we know nothing about his past at this point we simply don't know. If he is dead for sure - the last scene actually appeared more like a nightmare than reality to me - we will probably never know whether his facial expressions which contradicted his behavior meant something or not.
Someone was praising Somi before in the comments. I don’t understand? She has a rotten personality. She doesn’t…
Actually most of them are cowards and in the way everyone easily succumbs to killing each other is disgusting on a deeper level. The first killing might have been an accident. But then they only tried to run away or play the game. My first thought would have been - someone must be behind this. We need to find that person quickly and bring them to justice. However everyone is behaving so half heartedly. Only one girl actively tries to find out and most of the others don't even give it a thought. They just mindlessly play this sick game. Personally I would have choosen death over killing my classmates, in case that I had not discovered any clues about the source of the game. If I had found clues I would have played the game healf heartedly and only voted for someone who won't get most votes anyways. This way I wouldn't have participated in killing someone at all. And the class president is the only one who tried to break the game and get everyone out savely, by finding a way around the rules though. Kudos to him for at least trying. I can't feel sympathy for people who easily kill of each other only to survive themselves and the class president was the only one who actively would have sacrificed himself for one of his classmates.
my friend pointed out something to me that made me very confused indeed!!we saw before that after 12 am, everyone…
I was wondering about that at as well. I don't know why and I don't have evidence but somehow this last part of episode 8 felt like it was just a dream, as if it was Kyung Jun's imagination, that now the mafia is coming for him and Da Beom get's his revenge. I think he is well aware of being a jerk, of being beyond any redemption and that's why he might have gotten some hallucination about dying. But maybe my impression also comes from the shortless scenario. It felt so out of place as if it's not real.
This is for my new circle of people who felt moved by the ending of episode eight aka THE SHIRTLESS SCENE! https://archiveofourown.org/works/52262737/chapters/132204391TW:…
You got me curious now. You have a good writing style and yeah I guess AbuHammer didn't read it. You go deep into Da Beoms thinking, reflecting on the past, how he hates Kyun Jun and loves him at the same time and why he does.
not the dululu fans cursing Da beom for killing the bully 💀
He is an interesting character, but way to aggressive. I guess because he is a bully I would probably voted him out in the beginning already. The way he treats others and even his friends is a no go. But I think some people easily fall for his lost look. Sometimes he has this look. Then he looks like a child, who is deeply hurt inside and lost. These are the moments when a part of me tends to feel slight compassion and I wish he could get a redemption arc. However for him I think the point of no return has passed already and I think he is already beyond redemption and well aware of that. For a slight moment in the last ep I though he wants people to vote him out but then he proofed me wrong by killing the doctor. But I can't understand eithery why people curse Da beom. I'm rather surprised that Da Beom didn't try that earlier already if he is that strong though.
Just a wild hypothesis! It's an infinity ♾️ An entity whose "beginning" is also its "end".Recall the opening…
Or some kind of supernatural time loop. She experiences the same thing over and over again untill she manages to find the host in time to save everyone.
Somehow I have the impression that the game itself is not real. In the beginning Lee Yoon Seo had a strange dream. Afterwards when they arrived at their destination she said, that she felt as if she had been there already. What if it's similar to Alice in Borderland or Mirai Nikki. This would also explain why the game doesn't really make sense, why it seems as a supernatural cause is behind it. So, what if everyone is already dead or in coma, because of some accident? What if the game world is a world in between?
I was a little bit behind due to nanowrimo and some rl stuff. Back again and happy you're still on it. Thank you…
Ah, that's cool. :) I have online writing buddies in a cmmunity where we also share snippets of our writing and cheer each other on, which is also always lot's of fun, especially since we can write and read this way.
