This one's gonna offend ppl but the more I learn about the ml in the novel the more I dislike him and appreciate the changes they made for his character in the drama 😭 Zhu Yi just always has very morally questionable stuff going on in her books like wdym novel lxx made zw call him gege multiple times to bother her? I repsect the VAs tbh they are good at their job and do what's supposed to be done and are underpaid but they really chose the worst for LYT It just does NOT suit her at all 😭 and it doesn't really help that I mostly associate this voice with Zhou Ye and these two actresses are just very different

Also it's interesting that she's in kind of a duo with the flute guy bc I associate dlw with Fu ling and that actor with the wicked xu ming guy who was obsessed with that dead girl in LITC (very memorable character and arc for me pretty much like Fu ling's) and they make an interesting wicked pair lol

His acting is amazing but he's also blessed by a certain type of face and overall physical appearance that just kind of works as anything. Dragon? Fox? He does look elfish enough to eat those kind of mythical creatures up. A shy, quiet, awkward and nerdy guy? Well that's him irl. The spawn of the mf devil? Absolutely yes. Stupid, cute and kind? Again, absolutely yes. Stoic and serious? Well yes. He has done all of these already and I've never thought his general aura didn't suit any of them lol

lmfao litterally 90% of idol dramas get rated 5 and 6 out of 10 on chinese websites by tens of thousands of people. If one things cnetz n NEVER go easy on dramas that have logic, acting and production problems in them unlike mdl where every drama is rated above 7.

Accoeding to native Chinese speakers LYT's line delivery is actually good but DW's isn't. I genuinely don't understand why he gets to dub himself here but lyt who has pretty much dubbed herself and been praised for her diction her entire career is dubbed by a VA in this show?? Is it bc her voice is too deep for the stereotypical image the producers had in mind for her character here?? Same thing happened in ATC as well like this is just sexism atp
