I don't think he dubbed himself, it sounded like original audio in the trailers to me. There's no reason fr it's just stupidity lmao. I mean it's not the first time we see Youku making stupid decisions regarding to dubbing I'm kind of used to their questionable morals, but it's still a waste of skill to me cause his diction sounded really nice in those trailers

Yeah some actors are in fact not willing to work on their voice and accent and it's quite????? to me cause HOW are you an actor if you don't even want to spend some time working on your LINE DELIVERY (non mainlanders excluded). But it's still mostly the fact that these production companies are sooo greedy, lazy and always want to spend the least time and money and get the most from fans 🤦🏻‍♀️ DOS was filmed long time ago and they just didn't dub it cause miss ma'am Yangyang (the director) VALUES her work so much. I don't think any period drama that started shooting AFTER this dubbing rule was established and announced, which was January, has aired yet. We shall wait and see if it will actually work and I REALLY hope it does cause it's getting tiring even for VAs at this point.

I don't think that any actor who has a decent standard mandarin accent and has actually WORKED on his voice like him would want to get dubbed. It's either his label or the production team. YZ has more creative freedom and control over what she does compared to him.

I really REALLY hope this new dubbing policy actually WORKS for the dramas that started shooting after January so that these poor VAs are FREE from this capitalist industry and we get to hear actors' voices who have WORKED on their diction for years. HIS LINE DELIVERY IN THE TRAILERS WAS SO SLAYFUL IT'S SUCH A WASTE.

Yes all of this is true. Those 2 fandoms have been after her neck since 2020 and they just won't stop. The tear drop thing was deffo sold to stalkers and cy/zly stans by the staff. That was a close set so it's impossible for fans to go there, I'm 100% sure it was the staff and it was a demand from H&R.
I don't really wish her to join Jaywalk or Yangmi studio though🤦🏻‍♀️ that label always picks bad shows that are only made to make money for their actors. I was quite satisfied with her own choices cause the characters she's done and is gonna do after l&r are very different and the shows aren't straight up l&r copies cause this usually happens when Chinese idol actors after getting their hit shows but this whole thing happened and she lost her label now...It's really tragic actually

900k IS in fact a lot to ME and to average ppl yes but it's really just nothing compared to what FBB and DL invaded. I personally don't have a problem with them going on with their careers cause I separate their work with the kind of people they are but I DO understand people not wanting them back.
