If I say THIS is the dark and edgy assassin romance mjty wanted to be but kind of failed they'll boo me but I'll say it anyways...like I know BR has lots of flaws script wise and the editing does sometimes fall short but this was a SUPER low budget drama and every fantasy historical drama back then was just master disciple and reincarnation bs so this was VERY unique for it's time. And the color grading and cinematography is really one of a kind!! MJTY was visually stunning even with all the questionable writing but this one has a type of color skim and camera language I've never seen in any other show 😭 I don't usulike strong filters but the one used here makes all the purples and red pop out a lot which is visual metaphor for two very important things in the show : poison and blood
