I know yz is like crazy popular locally but I still think she's very underappreciated...her incredible acting capability was really wasted on dull idol dramas for YEARS because of her company and many just though of her as just another actress who appears on screen and does her job but she's WAY more than that 😭 will forever be glad she left her label. This woman knows how to act AND how to pick good scripts when things are in her own hand. That's an actual ARTIST!

As an ASIAN woman who knows and sees the damage collective misogynistic and conservative values that tens of millions of an entire nation hold does to minorities, YES bitch. WHO didn't understand their character???...this guy litterally came out of nowhere to such high profile projects and his acting isn't even good...I still remember how itl fans instantly jumped into conclusion that chen duling was the one who was buying hot searches for her cp with him during tteotm's airing cause he's gege and he has a pretty face so he can do no wrong and it's 100% the woman doing the evil things lol...I do NOT like him at all he just gives me strong industry plant vibes besides from whatever he is like in his personal life...

I still can't talk abt my opinions on this since I'm like 3 eps into it but there's one thing that's annoying the hell out of me that I think I can say. Ik it might not be important to some but as somebody who has a hyperfixation on it, I hate hate HATE the costume design in this and I unfortunately can't overlook it lol...like I wish it was just mediocre so that I'd just be like "yeah dissapointing to see what they did with so much room for creative freedom and such a fat budget", but it's not just mid, it's distractingly bad 😭 Not even gonna talk about the more technical aspects like the horrible tailoring and really bad fabric choices (some of those textiles look like something you'd only see on curtains fr), it's as if the person in charge the costumes doesn't even have as much common sense as a very normal, non-fashion person who wants to pick something up from their closet to go outside and not get stares from ppl... Like what sane person wears three different garments that all have different patterns, and such UGLY patterns at that, together??? So many incredibly talented hanbok designers in SK, so many references to draw inspiration from various different eras of Korean historical fashion and the costumes in this drama look like a 80 y/o grandpa with 0 artistic sense of beauty designed these clothes!

unfortunately this kind of a thing happens way too much...a bunch of greedy producers invest on a big ip adaptation and a huge male star and then cast a newbie actress with a vey small fanbase alongside him so that ml doesn't get overshadowed, then netizens go and harass the living sh!t out of that fl (cause she has no fanbase to defend her and all) and you can't talk a word about how unfair that is cause she should be "grateful" she got to breathe the same air as amazing and handsome and famous gege lol

this is the kind of drama that's SO bad it can actually end up being entertaining 😭 like you can seat and laugh in the face of it's stupidity and have the time of your life lol but the 3 fls are actually great actresses and I genuinely adored the unexpected chemistry between them and their partners...woo won was a piece of shit but LJY and YIY actually looked so good tgt (yeah even despite the age gap and badly written romance) and I remember being absolutely OBSESSED with chanmi and sukho

I had to close the tab and pull my hair like 20 minutes into ep 1 bc of that one scene where ml stops the orchestra...as an orchestra musician there is SO much wrong with whatever that happened in the span of 2 minutes in that scene it became physically impossible to not d!e of cringe 😭 why do tv shows use such strange and stupid ways to prove somebody is a "genius" in their field of profession?? and it's definitely not just kdramas it's just a global phenomenon atp

3 episodes in and I absolutely hate how this turned out to be a very uninspired and extremely typical ceo romcom and also hate that such a fun and cutie patootie fl will end up with a boringass man again (my poor meow meow just wants her soft Sabangnim in pastel hanbok not this boring dude in balck suits😡)...but anyways, might find the nerve to keep watching just to see if they make the fl design and actually wear her own hanbok inspired modern outfits (like Giselle from enchanted) cause the garments in ep 1 were sooo beautiful

I understand the appeal and why ppl love it sm despite not liking it myself but it genuinely boils my blood when everyone treats it like a masterpiece of revenge or noir or thriller or whatever 😭 like I just think it was intentioanlly made to be a campy and comedically stupid noir show and that's totally OKAY. The logic of the "crime" and "thriller" or even supposedly "legal" parts of this is objectively NOT a masterpiece of writing at all. If you consider this the best crime or revenge kdrama you've never watched any other show of this genre lol
