I read in the comment section that the novel ends with them engaged and the marriage between LBY and CSS happens in the epilogue. Now I have a wishful thinking that wedding scene from YS imagination may be from the actual wedding scene the director shot.
I have watched until episode 24 and I must say that I like the mortal arch better than the heaven arch. The mortal arch is hilarious as hell. YD really lives a free and unrestrained life there. She is intelligent and witty. I can see Taoist Tang is liking her day by day. A question tho, the reason why YY went to the mortal realm is to investigate the mystery behind the war between the demons and the gods but how is he supposed to investigate with no previous memories at all?
I am on episode 18. Can you guys shed light on me what made Yan Dan so deeply in love with Ying Yuan to the point she can't even cross that damn river even after almost 900 years of trying just simply because she can't forget about him? I can't recall what Ying Yuan has done to her to make him worth all her sacrifices and sufferings. She's just too stubborn.

How old was LBY when the Huo family was massacred? Some people said in the comment that LBY actually knows that his real father is general Huo. Based on the story so far, I assume that Ling Yi (LBY's fake father) does not know LBY is not his real son. How is that possible? Does LBY resemble his son when he was young?
Episode 30 was the first time she was mentioned. I didnt read the novel so I am not sure whether she is still alive by now. In that scene, Consort Yue wanted to make her point by using that story as an example on how the Lady Ruyang was only good to the emperor after he ascended to the throne. Back then when the emperor was still poor, the Lady Ruyang did not even lend her money to the emperor's pregnant sister to buy meat for nourishment. The emperor had to go hunting by himself and almost got himself killed by the harsh weather.

Her words were so powerful and penetrated into my heart especially the last sentence "if anyone doubts your bride, ignore their foolish attempt". The English translation of that sentence cannot even convey how powerful it was. She literally said just consider those people as farting!

Now you mentioned about this drama, I realized Xu Kai’s characters in The Legend of Zhao Yao and Ancient Love Poetry have similarities when it comes to the girls they love. Both make a lot of sacrifices in silence. Maybe it’s just typical romance in Chinese dramas.

When LBY asks CSS whether she is sure that she has chosen the right person to marry, CSS then ponders about his question and imagines LBY to be the groom instead of LY (cause the groom's side profile is definitely Wu Lei's). If I have guessed it right, this would mean deep down in CSS's heart, she wants a man like LBY to spend her life with. But she is in a denial mode right now because of her life experience being born in a military family and left by her parents since birth due to military duties. So she thinks it's better to marry someone that is safe and lives a peaceful life.
This situation is like logic vs emotions (feeling). As of now she seems to be following the logic side of things.
