I’m actually very torn, as someone who has never read the novel, I think the ending is wonderful and the drama logic of the reconciliation makes perfect sense. I think HBY showed that he lives his life after 5 years filled with regret, and knowing SS cold-blooded personality, she will not forgive him and will not force himself to her. On the other hand, SS is steadfast and has matured in those 5 years, and has learned that in order for her to be happy, she has to let go of her grievances. I love them both so much 😭
However, it makes me want to read the novel, why HBY acted a certain way. I do understand why you will feel a certain especially if you’ve read the novel. And I don’t think it’s wrong for you to feel like it’s rushed.
I also think it would’ve been nice to see how the story would’ve paced with 66 episodes. I hope they do an uncut or director’s cut version, and if they are, please take my money!!!
