I also don’t think that the episodes are a filler. The characters all have an arc and they have development whether it’s too slow for us. I actually love the pace

I'll definitely check it out. I do have to say I think the last Taiwanese drama I've seen is Autumn’s concerto, and I haven't really watched since(?) or I need to search more. I've been watching a lot more Chinese mainland ones.
