I'm actually a lot like FL character myself (or your friend for that matter) since Im from conservative asian culture/household and there you get raised being gaslighted; Like agreeing with everything and never saying no is the best way to behave for women/ and as a younger person. That being said I understand why FL is kinda that way, but point is she said NOTHING about the current situation. She should've told them about what went down. She should've told them about late husband leaving her debt, having affairs, etc. She even had ML with her to show them all the proofs. Instead she said nothing and tried to take every blame which isnt even hers to begin with, that is not as same as just being agreeable. She should have just show them lawsuit papers, her account remains, and proofs etc. Also, facing having to pay back loads of money, she tried running away bunch of times even when she had ML offering himself to do all the work to win this case. Her passive behavior is one thing but her way of thinking/ mechanism itself is stuffy af.

I'm leaning towards the money finder theory too. They must be some kind of bounty hunters or insurance company or money finding company. They seem kinda off to be cops.

I really think FL character (not the actress, her acting is fine) is TOO naive and passive to the point it looks stupid. I get being numb for some time, since her hubby passed away (however bad and cheating bastard that he was) and she was not herself for a while. But accepting everything his family does and not telling them anything what he did is just plain stupid, and every single person around her is either bad or have ulterior motive makes matters even worse. I'm kinda feeling stuffed watching latest episodes, esp with late husbands' parents and his sister/her husband reaching FL demanding money.

I don't think ppl who say they hate FL mean they hate the actress/acting. I like her acting very much, I just hate the character. She's too naive and passive to the point of being stupid.

I started hating him too since I figured out he was hiding identity & paid 200,000 yuan to that bastard husbands' parents in her behalf and asked her to pay him back(when she could but still). But still interesting character. FL I really hate now. if it was me I would've moved and cut off all my ex's family. She's just plain stupid at this point

Strong plot, interesting ML character (while I'm not so fond of FL character because she's too stuffy) only downside is that it is too slow-paced. I'm looking forward to upcoming episodes.

True. There are tons of ML/SML characters who are like that, and I really hate them all, however handsome/capable/famous they are.. So many think those traits are tolerable/even attractive when they are man with high specs, but blah. I hate those narcissistic bastards who pick on girls they supposedly "like". There are so many IRL, I don't want to see them in dramas, even more so as ML or SML.

So true. I mean I get LBY did that to keep CSS safe but she is pulled in either way since she is already engaged to LBY. He should've just come clean, due to CSS' personality she wouldn't stay still and she will be in more danger when she tries to figure out on her own.

I guess she saying that did help LBY set his decision unknowingly.

So true, I would look down on him if he give up that kind of revenge for love. So I think his recklessness is justified due to the circumstances

So true, I wouldn't want him to give up his whole life plan and purpose due to meeting CSS. That's not something one person can fix. I get that he feels like he owe Huo clan justice and I hope he gets it. Even if i was in CSS' shoes let alone LBY, I would go for revenge too.

actually im the same perspective, I'm choosing to be childfree too. But maybe due to a different reason? (In my case it's mostly due to the disbelief in marriage itself) I dont think you thinking that is bad habit tho. It's just your way of thinking and no one can judge it! I'm looking forward to YS' growth, i just hate guys talking like that to girls (even more to the ones they like and try to justify it) . That's pretty common in our culture so maybe I dislike it so strongly. I just hope YS' can change and show CSS' his true self. I know it won't be easy for him since I'm just like him but i root for it.

Interesting how as a son/husband and as a person crown prince is so much better but as a ruler, 3rd prince would be incomparably better. I like this drama shows those kind of grey areas and complications.
