In Princess Silver, he really nailed the character of a desolate Emperor who met with a tragic ending. From the moment he turned around in that first episode, I knew we were in for a rollercoaster ride. *Chef's kiss*
This guy (Song Joong Ki) is such a douchebag. He filed for divorce when he knew his ex-wife was out of the country and couldn't refute, then he announces his new relationship and baby mere days before the debut of his ex-wife's new show (The Glory). I hope karma gets him soon. May he reap what he sowed.
Hard to believe she was actually 25yo playing a 13/14yo in Love in the Imperial Palace aka The Flowers Filled the Palace and Missed the Time. She nailed the petulant princess character
"It’s like that all throughout. Conversations that could have taken two or three lines of dialogues drag on for minutes. Scenes that could have taken a minute drag on for five. There are fluff and filler moments everywhere, killing the momentum"
THIS!!! I thought it was just me who found most of the dialogue surplus to requirement. Great review.
The adapted novel "The Mystery of Zhang Guo" by Da Feng Gua Guo can be read here (https://www.wuxiaworld.eu/chapter/the-mystery-of-zhang-gong-2) and having read a few chapters, I believe the screenplay for the drama is a vast improvement on the original plot in the novel. The novel read like it was written by an amateur while the screenplay has a more logical plot line and characters.
