It's easy to disregard Wang Yi Zhe's acting because he looks like a literal doll but if you've seen Royal Feast where he played a sociopath palace guard who was on the revenge path and contrast that with the naive and kind ML in Song of Youth then it's patently obvious that this guy is an extremely talented actor. I can't tell which quirks or mannerisms are his in real life unlike some actors who use their natural everyday reactions in dramas, this guy discards his and formulates new quirks for each role played. That's impressive.
I stopped at episode two cos I couldn't condone whatshername's theft of the ML's laptop. I mean, wtf gave her the right to do that? That really soured everything

I'm with you re the ML. This is one of the worst "love stories" I've ever had the displeasure of watching. Why did the scriptwriter think the audience would ever want to see the ML be intimate with other women? Just baffling how they dropped the ball on this one
Interesting. Because she won the magnolia award for Best Actress for that role. And I don't think it's fair to…
I've seen her in Legend of Concubine Zhen Huan and Legend of Mi Yue and in both her acting of two different characters ended up being done with the same expressions and mannerisms. Anyway, I find her unimpressive
I don't know what it is about Hong Kong actresses that gives them such a charismatic on-screen presence. Ada Choi and Charmaine Sheh have great techniques that hold the audience captive.
Not that I mind much either way but be prepared for someone to attack you for saying that about Ju Jing Yi lol...some…
I started watching Secret of Three Kingdoms and I can not thank you enough! It's got my anxiety levels spiked though....I'm on ep 5 and so scared that old Eunuch will give away everything.
