She gave up being a Shadow assassin since Part 1 as she had found out that her mission to avenge her father was…
In my honest opinion, I think the problem is that they didn’t split it in equal parts. Part 1 should’ve been 15 episodes with part 2 the remaining 15.
They also stretched out part 1
by giving us so many filler episodes, remember how the whole Jang Gang thing was? They dragged it
out so long
that by the
time he
came it was
rushed as
they did
the same
with part 2( Naksu’s actual story) They had another unrelated plot at the same time and the director seems not to be good at directing multiple plots at the same time.
( I should probably say multiple big storylines )
When you think about it from the opening. Naksu’s story is just as big as Jang UK’s story arc and so is Jin Mu’s, however every episode featured all 3 major arcs and that’s a mistake in filmmaking, the main character doesn’t need to be in every single episode. They needed to spend time on each arc thoroughly instead of the constant jumping from one to the next each episode.
We still don’t know much about Cho Yeong/Naksu and we still don’t know why Jin Buyeon/ Seol Ran didn’t go home, especially now we know that she had planned everything which again is another revelation that makes no sense, these revelations should be properly explained and they weren’t.

‘I Hid under the shadow you casted’ what the heck does that even mean when Naksu was born before Uk and her whole reason for going to Daeho’s capital was to fulfill Jin Mu’s mission.
Her story is separate yet relates to Uk and all the 4 main families tbh.
Seol Ran the most powerful Devine Priestess couldn’t just go home and open UK’s energy gate and explain to Park Jin about the threat and her mission ?
Every thing about this whole story is a complete mess because Seol Ran never mentioned to Mudeok that she can’t have the ice stone because only Uk can access it’s power properly, she only said ‘No one can truly own the ice stone’ as it’s power is very intense and then we get the child version ( still don’t know the purpose of it) saying’ you can choose not to use it’
So the question is what if she did not change her mind? Who would kill the firebird, would Uk be able to kill it without the ice stone powers that he now has?
Why couldn’t Master Seo Gyeong kill it 200 years ago?
How did it cause the great drought and ended up being an egg again that was then locked in Jinyowon?
These are major stories but they failed to tell them to the audience
We still have no idea how Master Seo Gyeong even died, did he live until he was old but decided not to transfer his soul to another body using Hwanso?
Why did he want his lover to use the ice stone to live forever without him?
All these things I need answers for still😂

Apparently they blew the budget or something like that, although it doesn’t explain how the other characters…
Yes the wardrobe quality for Uk was really poor as I said they could’ve used a better quality material even if it’s black because I understand why he chose to wear black and I understand why he wears it for more than one days at a time because sometimes he stays at Songrim and not go home.

Well LJW couldn’t realistically think Jang Uk was in love with Someone else because he knew the plot but The director’s job was to remind him or not to allow the editing team to cut his most anticipated moments when he found out, the problem is they wasted too much time on the amnesia plot while in that same process and time they started a new plot ( fire bird threat) and by the time they revealed Naksu’s plot, it was too late so they had to rush and ended up having to cut many related scenes. They didn’t seem to have the budget to continue Naksu mage scenes so they probably had to hack/ divert her storyline by merely giving her Buyeon’s mage powers in the end Instead, which was a very poor job with the project because apparently this project was being discussed for 3 years before filming started. So 3 years of discussion and yet it ended up being in someways incomplete because a lot of the storylines seemed as though they were made up on the spot by the staff including the makeup artist.

How can you tell a 30 episodes series and not mention or hint the actual main threat? It doesn’t make any sense whatsoever.

At this point, I’m blaming everyone including TVN and Netflix and I want my sanity back that I had before watching part2😳🤣😂

I have other problems with this season, how Uk is written. I would say it's character regression. Uk is poorly…
Apparently they blew the budget or something like that, although it doesn’t explain how the other characters wardrobe was better.
I think they tried to show Uk as a character that no longer cared ab His appearance after losing his love( he’s supposed to be depressed) although I really didn’t get that vibe much apart from 2 short scenes l. 1 of him drinking by the empty tombs and the other after killing the Wraiths, but yes he could’ve still wore expensive black attire, it was looking really cheap tbh and he’s not poor.

Exactly, thank you. I’ve been blaming the director from day 1 , there’s quite a few clear mistakes and it was allowed to be shown, I think it’s disrespectful to us and to the writers of the play also because it’s the director’s job to make sure the direction of the play flows fluently.
In the BTS videos and still cuts , both GYJ and LJW was crying when they were filming the wedding scenes but they didn’t even include any of those instead we got a dry boring meaningless wedding in such a beautiful setting. Im still upset about that too, a wedding is something sacred and intimate yet the editing crew cut the actors being emotional, 😡😭 how dare they.

I also pointed out a clear mis read of LJW’s script in part 2 episode 3 and the director didn’t correct it ? They actually showed it to us in the Final Cut, that is bad, it’s like the director didn’t care about the project anymore even though it was his idea to give it 30 episodes after reading the scripts, ( he said it in a interview somewhere)

Chingu they really did mess up the timelines and realistically some of it doesn’t add up from a storytelling point of view tbh but it’s not that deep, they’re more serious problems with the show other than the timelines tbh but I do agree that it’s directed at young audience because older adults would probably have less interest in it because of the main casts age
group.🥰

Did you not read that I said it’s either the effects team( the team from the camera crew) that does the edits cut the important parts or the actor failed to show it no matter what you say it’s one or the other and we can’t know for sure because we don’t have the whole reel to determine that.
You have now brought up a point that is the main reason the person I was responding to made their point in their comment.
When he kissed her he thought she was Jin Buyeon and it was the perfect definition of what chemistry is especially the way it was done , displayed love and Not just Lust, it was perfect,
Then he finds out it’s not Jin Buyeon but the woman he spent 3 years pining for but it actually fell flat. Why is that?

Since you want me to really start,
Part 2 episode 3 at 00:59 at the assembly.
Uk actually
Made a mistake in his script reading.
He is supposed make a
statement but ended it with a question.

Here is the exact line.
Jin HoGyeong-‘ Nonsense .’I did not allow this marriage.’
Jank Uk, I will never allow you to take my daughter.

Jank Uk- ‘I am not asking for
your permission.’
That is a statement because The words ‘I Am Not’ is being used , however LJW had a question mark in his tone at the
end . And there’s more I can point out

And even if I was LJW anti fan, what can you do about it?

I’m very rude to people that jumps on the internet accusing people ( in this case me) of some a logical reply to a comment above.
For your information I’m actually a huge supporter of LJW and he is still learning , bigger actors than him also messes up while portraying a story so don’t come on here acting like he is exempt of faults , he eats and shits like everyone else on earth so get a grip.
The dude even said he struggled with part 2 in his interviews WTH

Listen, I have been saying the writing is bad over and over.
But from a common sense point of view.
The writers wrote that his character is in love with Naksu’s soul right?

And yes the writing is bad but the assignment is clear. The ML is supposed to be in love with Cho Yeong, The writing has nothing to do with The Actor not looking like he is in love with the same soul as he is supposed to upon learning it’s been her all along. That is actors Duty Not Writers because the writers aren’t the ones on my Tv screen playing these characters

Piss off . you’re illiterate. If the person is saying Uk didn’t show love to FL then what heck is that saying,?
His character is supposed to be in love with Naksu’s character not Buyeon but so many ppl said he seems more in love with Buyeon than he did when he found out it wasn’t.
The actor’s job is to show these emotions to the viewers and if the viewers don’t see it then it either means that the actor failed to do so or as I said the director failed to capture these feelings if the actor displayed it whilst filming.
Don’t come at me by not reading correctly because you or anyone here can not harm me in any way so go and learn to read before you open up the internet crushing on actors and actresses that doesn’t know you or your existence. Damn rude , acting like you can beat me through the keyboard.

Yes it’s not historically accurate or designed however they are still Koreans otherwise Meju , rice cakes etc wouldn’t exist in the series either. Also the fantasy is more based on the world building (fake world) however a lot of the plots are based on actual real life events. Eg . The King’s star and the 7 stars in the big Dipper ( constellation) that is real, it’s also based on ancient and modern magic, manefestations using the mind are actually real stuff although some people still don’t understand or believe it’s possible.
Soul leaving body temporarily is a common practice within Buddhism ( monks) so although the word fantasy is used it doesn’t mean things are not true or accurate, it means the writer has free reign over how they tell these stories without having to reference proof and they have the power to decorate these facts however their own imagination allows them without being sued.
For example. Devine Priestesses are very real, however they are not allowed to have children or marry, in AOS they can because labelling the series as fantasy gives it that protection so Priestesses and priests ( religious or non religious) cannot sue for mis representation of a sacred spiritual belief.
Ok Chingu the easiest way to prove Uk is 20+ is by remembering that AOS part 1 and 2 is Jang UK’s point of view ( his story being told by himself) mostly.

The scene of Naksu started its 20 years after the events of the king soul shifting and Cho Chung’s death.
Jang Uk is Narrating the opening, it’s his story 20 years later and that is episode one from 13: 08 secs in . So it’s impossible for him to be under 20 years old. I hope you understand it better without thinking even if Naksu and wherever happened in the past because the main thing is the show pointed it out clearly that it’s 20 after the King switched souls it was written on the screen at 13:08 with Uk telling the story and the story is focused on Uk as the main character and his fate in this fictional world called Daeho🥰

Well that’s up to the director’s and the actors and the effects crew tbh.
They cut the episode scenes a lot so things got lost in translation I suppose.
It’s the same actors yet as he learns about a different soul inside the same face and body he failed to show the sparkle, maybe the actor who plays Jang Uk Messed Up? Or the director cut scenes that actually show his chemistry towards Naksu’s character?
All I can agree is something went terribly wrong 🤣

Jang Gang was the one to create the soul shifters in the first place and the king found out in the same time frame and switched souls, all that was 20 years prior to the opening of Naksu’s entrance scene. Which U.K. was already born, even if he was born 19 years ago he would be 20 not 19 because as I said before Korean babies are 1 year old upon birth anyways. The follow the Lunar Calendar

No it’s 20 years after Jang Gang left baby Uk. IT’s mentioned several times in part 1 .
The last thing we saw 20 years before was when the king swapped bodies and Do-wa became pregnant. Then another time we saw Naksu father getting killed by the 4 families, in that time period Uk was already born and that’s why Jin Mu turned him into a soul shifter, in that timeline also saw UK’s birth. When the show opened episode 1 with Naksu 20 years later, Uk had to be 21 years old or older because in Korean traditions a child is 1 year old on the day they are born, remember UK, Seo Yul and Dangu are close in age, we also saw flashbacks of Uk At around 15 years old , he’s been sent to different Masters to learn for 6 years or more afterwards

Buyeon ( Seol-Ran) was the first one to be reborn using the ice stone, she went missing at the age of around 12 for 10 years her birth took 13-14 months, Jang Gang was using the ice stone hard in those times all in I’d say the same 3-6 months, probably less .
The point is Jang Gang used the ice stone and UK’s birth was in the same timeline and when we saw them (Uk included) was 20 years after that timeline so he couldn’t possibly be younger than 20 when we also had flashbacks of Dangu , Yul and Uk being close in age as children, yul may be 2 or so years older but there’s a scene where Park Jin even said to Uk that when the 3 boys were babies Uk was quicker than the other 2.
Teenage Yul and Teen Naksu is close in age so I think he’s a couple years older tbh as the ages are messed up because the director clearly hadn’t put much care and thought into these details. However Uk is not younger than park Dangu and he’s not much younger than Buyeon if anything he’s the same age as Buyeon as she was in the womb for way more than 9 months.

She gave up being a Shadow assassin since Part 1 as she had found out that her mission to avenge her father was not what she thought in the beginning and she was a shadow assassin working for Jin Mu whom she realised quite early in Part 1 was actually using her so therefore you wouldn’t get a Shadow Assassin because she had no mission and target but if you meant that she should’ve Al least get to show her fighting Mage Skills again then I totally agree.

The Glory which is not in any way cheesy romance as you call AOS and it’s also rated 15.
It’s target is teens and older, the age rating groups are a little disturbing at times in films so it’s difficult to actually decide what is appropriate for a young teenager to watch nowadays.
