Ppl who created multiple accounts just to decrease part2 rating, why would you do that? Are you so against GP's…
So many people keep coming and disrespecting GYJ in a smart way too, they start off saying it was good but the FL lead is not as good as JSM and she’s so boring etc and they give part 2 low rating to try out the blame on the FL, so sad and uncalled for
I think the sword broke the barrier or if Seol Ran did then it’s because the body and her soul needed to be…
Yes it is the same movie, not Japanese production but the story is based on The Japanese Geisha. Love Michelle Yeoh in it too but I was watching a Japanese series on Netflix, I can’t even remember the name, I couldn’t even get past the first episode 😑😩

Yes I see a few posts on Twitter raving about unchained Love. Might check it out at some point. I loved Memoir’s of a Geisha ( it’s old but a beautiful story, kinda timeless piece tbh) Come to think of it I haven’t watched many Japanese films at all😭
I understand your disappointment. TBH I’m quite the same. It would have been nice to see Naksu hold her sword…
It would’ve been nice to see her fight alongside the main casts like Dangu etc but master Lee made it clear that the body and the soul needs to match, she’s still a soul shifter that could possibly run wild if she engages in sudden fights I’m assuming, Uk said she could train again but it seems she’s loving her new found abilities more, maybe she’s still scared that if picks up her sword it’s always a possibility for her to kill the wrong person again especially when good ol’ Jin Mu survived to the end and we know he holds her weakness in the reach of a single jingle bells. There’s a few things I don’t like about the whole show tbh and there’s also things I absolutely love by looking past the messed up storylines and huge plot holes 🕳️ but hey, someone once wrote that it’s a KDrama and plot holes and cheesyness is to be expected so I give up 😂

I’m ok my friend, no I’ve finished Island season 1, waiting for the next instalment that’s due to air in February , I’ve finished singles inferno season 2 and now I’m not sure what to watch lol.what Japanese films have you been watching? Are they any good?
There’s No Season 2, it’s 1 season split into 2 parts, so it’s a continuation from episode 20, if you paid…
Well to be frank as a whole I the transition made sense and it’s not a matter of preference except that I’m so Happy Mudeok was no longer in the show as the persona Mudeok had run it’s course by episode 20 Mudeok was no longer a need to exist as she was about to get married to Uk and they were planning to move away so she wouldn’t need to hide and pretend to be a Fake Maid with a irritating personality, I was so sick of her expressions that I actually struggle to rewatch part 1, she had no romantic chemistry with Uk, she was more like his older sister. So I’m not sure what depth you saw in her corny over exaggerated character as Mudeok and when she had the opportunity to be Naksu she struggled to get out of the Mudeok persona so yeah I’m Glad she wasn’t a part of part 2 season 2 or whatever, I’m pleased to see GYJ playing her role as Cho Yeong,Jin Buyeon and Naksu even without her sword as it was always her story with Uk to begin with.
Hmm... What a difficult series to rate. Even though season 1 was executed to near perfection, the same can't be…
There’s No Season 2, it’s 1 season split into 2 parts, so it’s a continuation from episode 20, if you paid attention to part 1 you would’ve learned that Naksu was a trained assassin solely to avenge her father’s death, which she found out In part 1 episode 8 that her father wasn’t murdered but was a soul shifter who ran wild and had to be killed. So upon learning this key information she now has no reason to want revenge as she realised she was tricked by Jin Mu, she also had developed strong friendships and a intimate relationship with the same ppl she initially thought was her enemies. So why would you expect to see her as an assassin again?
Part 1 had a whole complete different vibes as they were all 3 years younger and up until Mudeok ran wild and killed U Tak, Ruining Dangu and Cho-Yeon’s wedding everyone was not so sad and traumatised so obviously it’s going to be different from part 1 because serious stuff had happened to them all and with UK’s resurrection with the ice stone powers I would think it’s not going to be all Honky Dory and heeheeehee hahahaha as relationships are now strained because of the events that took place in part 1 episode 20. Wouldn’t you find it odd if 3 years later everyone is behaving the same after what happened and after they’ve grown 3 year’s older?
I think the sword broke the barrier or if Seol Ran did then it’s because the body and her soul needed to be…
The conversation about how Uk got into the Annex was between Uk and Naksu/ Buyeon in episode 8 at 7:26 mark. Episode 10 Master Lee had a conversation with Master Lee and yes he said he was told by Uk and Naksu that someone had opened the door to Jinyowon for Uk, Im sorry I thought you meant the part where Master Lee was Telling HoGeong that Naksu probably went inside the prison knowing she wouldn’t be able to leave and HoGeong said if she does leave it would mean it’s Buyeon. But yes you were correct, I apologise as I had mistaken your post before 🌸
Ok , I haven’t heard that about the other actress before, I know her role just like JSM did was to play Mudeok, Jin Buyeon and Naksu but I didn’t know she was supposed to do the second part as well without going back to the original body ( face) of GYJ. Remember JSM also played the role of Seol Ran/Jin Buyeon ( in the ice stone barrier and with UK in the attempted soul shifting with Gill Ju, she played Mudeok as we know and she played Naksu at the end and she was supposed to be portraying Naksu when she was alone with Uk( that wasn’t portrayed correctly as we can now see clearly) but that was the roles she took because it’s the same roles the original actress had before she decided she didn’t feel confident enough doing all 3 personalities. I must say it’s not easy because even JSM didn’t portray all 3 characters clearly, she did well in only 2 and she’s got more experience in acting, her biggest strength is comedy so she nailed Mudeok’s personality and she she did very well in portraying Jin Seol Ran AKA Jin Buyeon but I don’t think she portrayed Naksu very well and I think some of the problems is deriving from that because she probably didn’t have enough time to capture Naksu/ Cho Yeong persona but that is not her fault as she probably didn’t get the opportunity to do a full character profile with GYJ. She did the best she could I suppose but now ppl are saying GYJ didn’t play her part well when it’s her own persona she’s playing, I personally saw the same Aura I got from Naksu in the opening at times especially when she got her memories back and when she had the scene with CP, Yul and So-Yi in Gaema village, I never once got that from JSM, so I understand why some ppl feel the way they do.
An example, remember the scene from part 1 episode 6 at 9:57 mark when she was speaking with Uk about her teaching Yul how to cook ( she’s supposed to be Naksu in that scene) however even if you compare Naksu in her first scenes, she never make those expressions as JSM constantly did even when she wasn’t in Mudeok’s made up personality,
So the one who opened the door so Jang Uk can find Naksu in the annex is JSR/BY. I guess granny JSR never actually…
I think the sword broke the barrier or if Seol Ran did then it’s because the body and her soul needed to be free and close to Jang Uk ( the king’s star bearer) although all she had to do was visit Uk , show him the vision and he’d still agree just like he did regardless. I personally think it was the sword though.
Well I’m happy they didn’t bring Mudeok back and the reason for that is Mudeok was a made up personality by Naksu and that alone dragged on for 20 episodes so having Mudeok in part 2 would not move the story forward , remember Mudeok didn’t actually exist as a character as such on her own merits as it was Jin Seol Ran that took on the name of Mudeok after the boat incident 13 years prior and after Naksu soul shifted into that body we got the personality of Mudeok which was Naksu in hiding, pretending to be a maid with a certain dialect. If Mudeok ( Jin Seol Ran) was saved and separated from Naksu, we have no idea how she would actually be as she’s over 200 years old and seems to have no actual interest in the world other than fulfilling a vision she saw that was going to affect the future. Also the Fact that the main story is about Jang Uk and Cho Yeong ( light and Shadow) I’m not really sure where Mudeok would fit in as like I said there was no real Mudeok to begin with. The story kicked off with Naksu that soul shifted, it only makes perfect sense that after falling In love etc that she gets the chance to show her real face and most importantly, I watch the show and got really tired of seeing Mudeok’s silly expressions and extreme eye rolls, I got so fed up of it I kept praying for them to end that arc and move forward.
Do you know the meaning of playboy? Because this ain't it.Do you even understand the concept of trauma and death?…
I agree with everything you said but in all honesty He didn’t recognise her soul until he saw the blue marks in her eyes, which is a big shame, there was no familiarity that he recognised in her so technically for him he was falling for her in a new light, based on her patience and compassion towards him. Yes he was in denial, he was grieving but throughout all this he was supposed to feel some sort of connection that is unexplainable, instead he started off pitying her because of the abuse she was going through at the hands of Jin HoGyeong, he wanted to use her for his own personal gain and when he realised she couldn’t help he more or less kept her around out of pity.
I’m happy with how it ended for them but I’m disappointed in the actual execution of how they got there and the time it took to get there especially when 1 episode doesn’t need a time stamp ( 1 episode could’ve easily been 2-3 weeks).

I don’t know exactly how to move on from this place 🤪
How have you been? I missed you soooo much 🥰
