The writers' goal is to show that he is going to fall in love with the same soul all over again with or without…
Yes that was the plan but the soul carries ( hold) specific underlying traits that helps to make a person unique and different from the other.
There has to be a specific aura or feeling of familiarity that draws one person to the next and they didn’t seem to get that right, clearly and the comments prove it over and over again.

Okay, I'll take that... if I live with him, he'll fall in love w/ me too (lol)But it's not that simple as he has…
I had a discussion about this the other day and I will say again something went wrong because so many people have this idea or understanding that the transition wasn’t smooth and it felt as if ML fell in love with someone else, I know he didn’t but if I’m going to be honest, they failed to convince because too many people now have the same feelings after watching.
I agree with most that they dragged it out way too long and that’s 1 of the reasons why it’s hard to convince most viewers that he fell in love with the same soul.
They should’ve at least show ML, thought ( voice) wondering why she feels so familiar or something to that effect but unfortunately there was no indication that he was falling for the same person instead it was hinted that he gave up and started to accept giving in to opening his heart to someone else, if we go back to part 1 there was never a time that the person he fell in love with was so compassionate or patient , this time ( part 2) he ( just like us) is seeing Cho Yeong/Naksu) in a whole different role due to amnesia, living environment etc so she therefore showed a complete different side to her personality which as I said is not what ML recognise which then leads to the most important question, what was it that made him actually fall in love with her in the first place?
And although we love the show and the casts these are realistic facts that one must consider.

Since she’s the one with amnesia, it would have probably also made more sense that he recognised her from at least episode 3 and trying hard for her to remember him and working out how to untangle the mess of her being in the situation where she’s still trapped inside a body that’s not fully hers, I personally think it would’ve made a better story and lesss of a feel that she wasn’t so unfamiliar.

the change of fl was intentionally tho....
Are you saying that GYJ wasn’t supposed to come back if the other actress had stayed?
I read that the director had 2 parts in mind when he first got the scripts as he realised the story couldn’t be told in 20 episodes from the beginning. Which makes sense because other shows would’ve booked their slots to air in-between beforehand with the TV network.
I know some things was definitely changed mid way in when we got the sudden break in part 1, if you’re saying the original actress was supposed to play all the way to the end then I wonder what kind of story they had in mind if GYJ wasn’t supposed to resume her role with her original face 🫣

JSM was never supposed to be in part 2 at no point in the story ( thank Goodness) imagine the amount of complexity that would’ve caused if Uk Keeps seeing her face but the soul he loves is also back in its original body.
I think it would’ve been a mess.

But it was the original plot. If they didnt "change" it would be a different story and not this one with soul…
I believe that it was always the intention for the GYJ to play the amnesic role and being fused with the Jin Family, the reason I say this is Part1 Naksu was made to look taller and different intentionally so it’s obvious that all this was planned from the beginning, However I believe they kept JSM in the show way too long, imo it should’ve been split in equal halves with 15 episodes for each FL individually.
They burnt Naksu’s body very early in part 1 and they obviously knew that JSM was only filling in for part 1 as she had to have signed a contract when she took the role and therefore they obviously had no intention of Jin Buyeon or should I say Seol Ran to have a separate body.

It’s only one person because the soul he fell in love with was always Naksu’s soul from beginning to the end…
No he didn’t know it was her but his soul fell in love with her soul because it’s the same soul that he is drawn to, it’s not something that could be controlled and that is point the writers are trying to make. I hope you understand.
Remember in the last episode he said to her I did recognise you?
It meant that even though he didn’t recognise her physically, his heart recognised her heart and that’s why he was so drawn to her regardless of how much he tried to resist.🌺

It’s only one person because the soul he fell in love with was always Naksu’s soul from beginning to the end he only loved 1 person and that was Naksu/Cho Yeong.

flop sequelas a disclaimer I had no problems with the main actress change. I was actually looking forward seeing…
At least the actress had better chemistry with the ML this time because JSM was more like a big sister to Uk, and that was not the assignment, I fear.

Where in part 1 did you actually see Naksu and any hint of her personality, except for her opening fight scene?

Because I’m hoping that you don’t believe for a second that Mudeok’s personality was actually Naksu’s or Cho Yeong’s personality.

I do agree with you about them dragging the amnesia plot and we didn’t actually get as much of her own personality, but we did a little more in her poise and her will.
