Everything you said, although it makes sense, is all speculation. But let's say things happened exactly as you…
The production team is split into two ( normally) big teams that are separate but connected.
Executive producers deal with getting the network for viewing, budgets etc and the other side of the production team deals with the internal affairs, eg. Dealing and managing all the other teams, like hair, makeup, camera crews, costs just managing and making sure everyone gets what they need to get the show running smoothly, it’s like that in every single country that make films so although they play a huge role internally and externally they are just overseeers of large groups of people working on the set.
You said they wrapped up the show with minimal Flaws then I have to disagree because ppl are complaining left right and centre and you will see that throughout the comments here, on Twitter and other platforms including YouTube comment sections etc because they’re many Flaws.

First of all they weren’t many base storylines really, one of the main storylines was tasked with Jin Mu that was unnecessarily stretched over 2 parts 30 episodes without any accomplishment or payoff, that alone is a flaw because it impacts on the main leads and their arcs,,especially Jang UK.
Jang UK’s story starts with a goal that was only really utilised in episode 19 after gaining what he desired in early part of part 1, another dragged out arc with no real set goal to utilise these skills because first off Jin Mu( the enemy of the show) is stagnant, not much progress here imo.

Part 2 . All these powers and ML only uses it to kill left over soul shifters which he’s only been doing in the last absent 3 years( that’s a loooooong time)

FL also been in recovery mode and lost her memories for the last 3 years, we only got 10 episodes here but it’s dragged out for over 8 episodes of the 10 and Ml which is quick witted only realised near the end of episode 9? Seriously…….

Another major Flaw is with Both FLs.
GYJ opened as FL episode 1, she has a specific set of traits and expressions and profile.
Episode 1 New FL is at play but had a complete different Aura, proflile attitude etc even when she was alone with ML that knew her identity
Then come back tip part 2 where we have the original FL with her original aura, profile and attitude including expressions.
This is where a whole lot of the complaints are piling in because Second FL JSM used a whole different profile when in the character of the original FL, there was nothing i of her that actually resembled the original Character and that is down to the director because now it’s literally caused all these hateful and nasty comments towards GYJ because a mass of ppl are not recognising her true self ( I’m not talking about the fighting) I recognised her true self from the opening scene but if I compare( that’s what’s natural for ppl to do) to JSM playing her then it’s a huge difference, unlike Seo Yul’s uncle ( character) that embodies Jin Mu’s character with the same profiling and Aura, even if we did not see the switch and he randomly popped up on our screens we would be able to guess quite quickly that he’s embodied Jin Mu, so something clearly went wrong because as I’ve said the comments everywhere is speaking volumes.

The Genre is not that rare Fantasy is a thing in Korea too , all fantasy stories have fighting, romance and comedy along with impossible things like monters, talking tress, pots etc the only thing that Hong Sisters did differently this time is making it look historical by creating a period style costume mixed with modern language and music. All fantasy stories involves world creation and building, it’s nothing new in that particular aspect.

I think I loved the show only for the cast tbh because the storyline was weak , it started out strong with great potential but went downhill from midway in part 1 and they weren’t able to fix it.

The old Naksu was dead since part 1, so I was not expecting a comeback in part 2. Buyeon's body is weak. Remember…
Quick question 😅
What exactly was Jin Mu’s motivation and plan in Part 1-part2?

Jang Uk's character got worse than just underdevelopment, it was basically a character regression. Shame, he was…
I’m ok with that, create it and I’ll add my opinions on the matter 😅

It's crazy amount of time for a project 😭 I want to forget about those hardships. Hope from now, only good…
Yes I know but I believe in him🥰 he’ll be fine.
I wonder when he’ll get called for his military service, hopefully it’s not at a time when he’s working on a project 🥰

Believe me , he would be able to do it just as he’s done this time, they’re much younger actors that adopted, eg The walking Dead , the main child actor started on the show at the age of 10 or 11 years old and basically grew up on set, he had tutoring etc, these are just some of the things when considering the acting field.my sister just graduated from film school as well, it’s actually not an easy job as most people think, perfect example is the younger casts on GOT, Sansa, Arya, Bran, Jophrey all grew up on set because the first 6 seasons were aired a year some nearly 2 years apart so as soon as 1 season was finished another filming started and considering the fact that most if not all never even had previous jobs before and they mostly filmed abroad as well, I remember watching the final behind the scene wrap up and even the set hairstylist didn’t see her daughter and husband for over 6 months whilst working on season 7 which only had 6 or 7 episodes. It’s just the field and they are told these things in advance especially considering they normally film extra content in case of changes, sometimes they film 2 different ending for the final episode as well. As I said S. Korea may do things slightly different but in general that is the guidelines that filming requires.
AOS story is not deep or complicated really (story wise) Their lines are quite short and simple but we also have to consider fight training etc, learning how to use a sword, these things take time as well. Even the actor that played Yul spoke about this and explained that for him it was a little bit easier as his dance training skills helped a lot.
I guess it’s a good thing that it’s only 30 episodes then😅
Jaewook is determined and strong and I saw someone posted an article where he said he wants to work all of this year so he’s not complaining 😀

I think alot of people's disappointment really boils down to; the set up being great in Part 2, the slow amnesia…
That’s why I said it should’ve been split in equal halves because people tend to forget that Part 1 had similar problems. Eg. Jang Gang’s storyline, it dragged and dragged then his actual entrance was underwhelming and over within a couple of minutes.

Oh I understand, KDrama do it a lot differently, because if 1 year is a long time filming a 30 episodes show, then they’d really probably struggle in the USA then which takes around 8 days to shoot a 30 minutes episode and that is standard.

Manefest ing it until it happens, someone with a beautiful love story will see this and I hope MAA step up and try to promote this as they actually been lacking. Maybe UK’s team will recommend, they seem to care about her enough 😀

Of course it’s their story and not the viewers but a lot of people also saw the heavy flaws , it bothers some and it’s ok for some people. They’re different types of viewers and some viewers are more in the ride for the actual story and not necessarily the actors I’m in it for both tbh and my opinions are based on the story I started out with in episode 1 part 1 to now, following it thoroughly and I feel like they failed and as I said it’s not entirely the Hong Sisters fault, there’s still so much content that keeps popping up that had to be cut that probably was crucial to the story but it’s all done according to a time slot which the Director and the effects team etc should’ve kept in mind when they were busy focusing on what was some time’s unnecessary.

Lee Jaewook and Go Younjung topped January first week's most buzzworthy actors' list for a second consecutive…
Their chemistry is off the charts on screen and beyond, they deserve all the hype they are receiving together, such a shame they didn’t have a longer on screen time working together and I sincerely hope they will get another Opportunity to do so.

Yes her nature is caring and seeing the dangers for herself this time wouldn’t allow her to flee, however she didn’t Need to be there in the first place, it was purely to pay off the conversation with Park Jin in part 1, it was just another in called for parallel because of lack of creative storytelling at that point

Scheduling a Tv series comes with availability in Time slots which also depends on the Age ratings.
It seems, As the Director said, The script came to him as a 20 episodes series but he realised that it wasn’t possible so he told The Writers that it’s best to go for an additional 10 episodes, Now it seems that this was the first route in the problems that arose as the Hong Sisters did not write story for 30 episodes so they just added and subtracted plots( remember the break we got in part 1)
The original plan was changed and therefore the storyline was also slightly changed to accommodate but then a bigger problem occurred because we then got unfinished story arcs or should I say story arcs that felt like it was pushed to the back as a new storyline suddenly appeared. So remember when I said a Tv series has to be booked via availability.?
In reality this series should’ve been split in equal halves but perhaps other shows was already booked for a certain date, The Queen’s umbrella in this case , once a show already receives its air date it’s problematic to change these to accommodate another client so therefore in this case we ended up with part 1 being too stretched out because they’ve extended the story and didn’t know how to tell it without potentially spoiling it and also dropping the Hype for the wait until the next time slot was available ( Part 2) which was extremely quick as it took 4 months, but it’s reasonable as it’s not exactly a season 2.
Conclusion. Majority of the story in part 1 from episode 16( I think) was fill in story and most of part 2 failed to line up to the added storyline because enough time wasn’t there to properly review these fill ins for what they decided to take out.
Because of these extended stories, problems also arose with actors not being available due to other pre booked or more prominent roles for them, Eg. JSM. She was unable to now film additional scenes for the Interactions that was needed in part2, which led them to use the child actress , they released this in part 1 so they created ( as one of their fill ins) 2 versions of JSR which we all found odd but it was only to remind us in the future who JSR/ Buyeon ( that never really was) is . Which for me a mock up because why did they use the line ‘We Didn’t Lose The ice stone This Time ‘
Maybe it’s a translation error but I checked with my dear Korean friends and she did apparently say We ,

It doesn’t matter how much I loved the cast , the costumes etc doesn’t take away The Fact that the Story on a Whole was indeed messed up, it wasn’t consistent and The Last 2 episodes were indeed rushed simply because they wasted too much tme( episodes) on a single arc , I inserted episodes because in Tv world 1 episode doesn’t necessarily mean 1 day , 1 episode could consist of days or even weeks.
Anyways I wanted to get that off for now.

I’ll touch on how disappointed I am about Jang UK’s Character underdevelopment next time when I’m in the mood.😑

Every thing about part 2 was a parallel to part 1 , they somehow felt the unnecessary NEED to fullfill the conversation Park Jin had with Kim Dojoo back in part 1 about whether he’d seal the door over saving her🙄

I never thought i will say this but i dont want to come to this comment section anymore.SO MUCH HATE, LIKE SUCH…
I try not to get too affected because when we dig deeper into why ppl are Hating so much, I blame the writers and the Directors because obviously they had failed on some very important details from part 1 which ended up causing a mess in part 2 so ppl got invested so I guess they have a right to vent, we all vent differently so I really can’t even be bothered at this point as everyone on that project is getting paid big time regardless and they’re all moving on to other projects now .
I’m Happy Most of the main cast survived to the end as I really wanted that.

As for the negative remarks about the FL i can’t even be bothered as well because if I open my mind here I’m going to come across as if i dislike the other FILL-IN Female actress so I’m trying hard to stay out of it, I don’t even read the nonsense some people write in that regards

Unm it wasn’t really urgent considering she foresaw the events.
How could she guide her?
Simple, the same way she appeared telling uk and the same way she appeared telling Naksu crap about kicking her out of body also the same way whilst Naksu was in the body she opened the extra portal in prison island and she called Uk using the jade because Naksu did not even touch the jade , more importantly it’s a Fantasy show that gives great flexibility. A lot of things didn’t make sense yet they didn’t seem to care how I think so what’s the difference when it actually could’ve made sense?
