Yes of course but there’s still lines to be drawn I suppose.not all viewers Read the comics or agree with certain things. Some ppl won’t get affected by certain aspects because they don’t think the characters in comics are real but seeing a human play these roles have a different effect on the mind. It’s just the way our mind perceive things I suppose.

Yes some of the stunts that works on paper is also harder to bring to life and make it look authentic and we also have moral rules within human societies so sometimes the politics behind what can and cannot be shown through human adaptation plays a huge part too.

Yes I made started Itaewon class webtoon when it was nearly finished so it wasn’t too bad for me😅 I really enjoyed Itaewon class as a Tv series I must say, Kim Dami was excellent in her role, they all were tbh🌸

A perfect example is to look at Jin Mu.
Jin Mu main person=his own personalities, the way his facial expression are, the way he stands etc= shifts into Seo Yul’s uncle = Jin Mu’s same personalities( only more bold because he feels invincible to his peers) but same facial expressions, tone in the way he speaks, stands etc- that actor literally portrayed Jin Mu without fault. That actor had to spend time practicing with Jin mu side by side( I saw the BTS) 🌸

Awwww, I understand, yes ppl always complain when it’s an adaptation of a written story, same like Itaewon Class a lot of ppl complained because some personalities were changed.

I’ve been watching episode 1 part 1 on rewind repeat and I must say So Min Did Not play the Character of Naksu’s personality well at all, first thing that noticed, Naksu was a little conceited, she is hot and she expresses it in the first minute of her appearance she also shows that in part 2, so min never did
2) her poise , ( the way she moves, her stance) so min never had that at all. Remember Part 1 Naksu and part 2 Cho Yeong have different experiences through memories and experiences so you won’t get the full Naksu as in fighting. She never made weird faces in her appearance in part1, the over rolling of eyes etc, her face had a more of a soft smile/Smirk even when she was fighting, we never really saw that in So Min ( I enjoyed it) but seeing the same actress playing her roles in both part as she is the character that So Min had to under study ( not the other way around) I would say it’s so min who failed to capture the main character ( Yeong/Naksu) because she is the fill in character playing the person who we saw in the first scenes in part 1. Naksu/Yeong is not a character that is intense she’s poised because she’s over confident.
So min’s main job in the show was play a character that is made up to disguise The real Naksu/Yeong which is Mudeok that she had never met , so it’s impossible for Her to show those qualities because after death she no longer needs to hide as Mudeok.
Rewatch the same fight scenes in episode 1 part 1 , study her poise, facial expressions throughout right up to she shifts and you will then notice that even when Uk was alone with Naksu/ Mudeok ( so min) there was No trace of the girl that opened the series 20 years after Uk was born. If the extreme facial expressions were Naksu’s personality we would’ve seen them in her first moments because there were moments when she could have but she did not, she was an over confident, conceited badass. She also did show resilience in part 2 , she was not a scared woman even when she cried, her scenes with So-Yi was the same essence of herself in part 1, staying behind to rebuild a tomb is showing strength even though her body and skills as a fighting mage wasn’t there, facing the wraiths was strength, she’s naturally calm even when she was killing people in part 1, rewatch and look for those qualities I mentioned and you’ll notice that she was flawless and true to her authentic character even without the skills as a fighter. I’ll say again So Min was excellent in portraying Mudeok But Not Cho Yeong/Naksu.

I’ve finished episode 3 I’ll save episode 4 for tomorrow, I’m loving it so far love the fight scenes as well.Lee Da Hee is a little annoying but I’m hoping she’ll change when she remembers😅
