It's the classic cold CEO marries innocent butterfly theme drama, where the softer one suffers due to the coldness of the icy cold one😅. I like the setting, the characters, the humor, and most of all how the ML and FL both look so good together. ML is of course surely in love with FL and maybe he is now feeling tired and believes he is the only one in love, FL well what more can I say is just a classic cold CEO who has no emotional tact or awareness, does things that are easily misunderstood, does not try to correct those misunderstanding, can't take a stand in the relationship, etc. although she is doing things behind the scenes which of course ML will not get to see until maybe 8th episode or so😅. I Hope FL is the one who fixes things up because she is the cold one here, or maybe there is more to the plot than I see.

I am halfway into the 6th episode, and the way Yi Soo looks at Kang Hyun while she tries to dance following his instructions felt super cute😍😂 and the smile on his face as he watches her as she tells about her hobby😂 made it seem like the seed of romance has been planted. Although I hoped they should have included the scene where she tries on different outfits and at the end we get a mesmerized ML on the last dress (even though it is an overused scenario it never loses its effect). Moreover, if there was a comical scene where he proposes the fake relationship part and then convinces the FL to hold hands with him (I know she is a seasoned officer but she particularly doesn't like ML thus there might have been some comical bickering involved) could also have acted as a cherry on top. But well I will just direct these scenes in my head and be satisfied for now until the romance surfaces in the plot (considering there is a romance tag on this drama). Also, I think it would have been better if the drama elaborated on a few cases more, rather than solving 1 case per 1.5 episodes, the cases lack depth which indirectly removes the thrill part of the investigation and the chase (making it too straightforward).

I watched episode 11 and a bit of episode 12 today, but correct me if I am wrong didn't Yoo Ra in her entry scene specifically state that Ju Hyuk has already called off their engagement? So how does FL interpret from the situation that ML was cheating? Her attitude did a 180 right at the moment as if she was waiting for something like this to happen, and chose to just ignore the ML who was trying to explain the situation. If FL was that sure about her feelings for ML, she should at least try to listen to his side of the story. Plus the engagement was called off from the ML's side so doesn't that solve the problem altogether? Didn't the FL also have a guy she was dating right from the start whom she was going to eventually marry (at least make it seem like she was), then shouldn't she give room to the thought that ML too maybe was in some kind of conundrum in his past? Considering all he has done so far for her already serves as enough proof of how serious he is about her, doesn't it?

I also didn't knew about the novel, I completed reading the Manhwa some days prior to the release of the k-drama and found it really great. I tried searching but the manhwa was the only thing that popped out on search so I thought it was the original, my bad.

I know, that's the point of that link because it was for the Manhwa to begin with and not for the novel. I didn't mention novel anywhere😅😅.

Well I think he sure got repaid quite well for all his efforts i would say in this episode😂.

What the hell is wrong with the episode 4😂. No explanation, no follow up, and numerous things happening one by one with no correlation. Also, the ML's personality did a 360 way too suspiciously fast, and at the end the rooftop scene of them together😅 like weren't they fighting each other for nearly 2 episodes where one was angelic and other one was demonic, they should be considered arc nemesis but somehow strangely the switch flipped🙃? Someone explain to me😂 what did I just watched.

Sorry but someone had to say this, "Jiwon from Manhwa is far better than Jiwon from the drama"😭. I don't know why but the screenwriter had to change the plot in such a way that such a great character is turning into someone who contradicts herself and being a little dumb. Jiwon in the Manhwa handled things like a pro🔥🔥 after her character development (which kind of ended after the marriage of Min Hwan and Soo Min) a good amount of things happened and her reaction to them was superb. Also, I was looking forward to ML and FL dating each other after the 10-episode slow burn😭 because of how well they did things in Manhwa for the remaining part of the plot. I know the plot needs to be different to keep the audience interested but they should at least do better than the original😅😅.

quite a good start for a workplace setting, marketing concept, rom-com, supernatural and thriller-themed drama. I won't say it's going to be one of the best this year but for sure it's a fun watch. The story is quite straightforward, fast, and full of things. I liked both ML and FL, ML is a positive, overly enthusiastic, righteous character with fanboy characteristics which makes him a comical yet serious character whereas FL is someone who is good at work (overpowered character) but lacks in life yet doesn't forget in her pursuit that she has to vouch for the right thing (considering how she is not sure about the new company in question).

ML: (stops his car in front of the culprit's car) Why don't you pick up my call?
FL: Why are you so late?
ML: I came on time, didn't I? I was right on time.
(me: this seems more like a couple scene and not where you catch a culprit)
their bickering is one of the best things in this drama😂😂

Wow, the amount of detail in this drama may it be dialogues, lighting, camera angles, and outfits, really tells how much effort has been put into this drama. It feels as if I am watching a movie that has 32 episodes. Plus the visuals of the ML and FL are blinding, can't wait to see more scenes of them together in the upcoming episodes.

The plot progress is quite fast, and the suspense is great with action accompanied by a hint of romance. The characters are a blend of what you may encounter in the real world too, over-achievers, average people, clueless ones, helpless ones, etc.
My theory is that ML knew FL even before she entered college, overshadowed by how well he understands, helps, and trusts her. The scene where he serves her saltwater and tells her about a friend and she later goes to his room and finds a wooden box, but he suspiciously changes the topic and leads her away from it.
At the start, it was mentioned that "they" have started to approach/find her or something which could be FL, the people talking might be the original team of developers related to her in some way. The experiment might have ended abruptly and some new team took over changing it into a survival game intended to kill people while disguising it as a normal game (so far only FL's teammates thus, no one else has noticed this). FL had amnesia and the bad guys wanted to eliminate her and others to keep things a secret.
An alternative theory is that we are inside FL's brain where everything is related to her trauma or experiences. Like the people who talked about her at the start is the manifestation of her mind being scared of her memories (the "they") coming out, while the game is her different experiences manifesting in altered ways as her brain is fighting to keep them locked inside or reduce the impact. Everyone we have seen is related to her in reality but in the world we are seeing right now they are manifesting in ways she considered them through her lenses.

They also revealed Ji Hyuk being the chairman's grandson and CEO right from the start, even though FL wasn't aware much about him in the manhwa.

They added extra detail to the plot in the manhwa, I like it this way. The FL's reaction after meeting both her nemeses after going to the past was spot on. However, it was hilarious how she fell 3 times in the sequence with ML appearing miraculously each time and helping her😆. The plot appears different from the manhwa because in manhwa FL actually didn't remember much about ML and was unaware of him being the heir and future CEO of the company. Lee Yi Kyun portrays Park Min Hwan as an antagonist in this drama was rather strange to watch for me after his earlier role in the top comedy-drama Welcome to Waikiki. His portrayal is really good it's just that the Gwenchana scene starts playing in my mind each time he is on the screen😭.

I too came across that comment. I think this drama's genre should have been slight romance instead of romance, that way we would have expected less romance right from the very beginning.

I think it's because the drama was promoted as a mystery, sci-fi, thriller type genre in some trailers while romance in others so it attracted viewers from both sides. But so far the drama has neither put much focus on the sci-fi elements only treated it as secondary to FL's professional development, nor the romance (it would be more correct to say it's slight romance). Thus they were successful in triggering both the type of viewers that they attracted through the trailers🤣. If someone starts watching a romance they expect romance, if someone starts watching a mystery thriller they expect a mystery thriller because of that even though the drama is really good yet due to this difference in genre to the actual story, people are a little bit disappointed.

Everything about this drama is so good but I still have a few complaints:
1. The lack of romance: even though this drama is marketed as a romance the romance scenes are so diluted in the plot that it feels fit to call it slight romance.
2. Too little screen time for ML: seriously, sometimes I feel that FL's hair salon/makeup work (which isn't even the main plot🤣) and Chen Fang Zhou (who isn't even a main character) have more screen time in the show than the actual ML🤣🤣. To make it worse there were even some episodes where we only get a glimpse of him or some small talk which would be so short that even FL's colleagues at the salon seem to interact with her more than ML🤣. They have attached ML's character to the mystery part a bit too much, even though they have focused more on FL's salon work thus leading to less screen time.

I think the reason the participants of the experiment were going crazy after a year or two, while some did not would depend on 2 things
1. the amount of change that happens in their memories: more changes mean more contradictions with reality, and more resistance from the brain when certain events trigger the over-ridden or prior memories, as well as delusions and hallucinations due to more detachment from reality.
2. their mental strength: many people even though are suffering from mental illnesses can still behave normally and function in their everyday lives to some extent, and have better chances of recovery.
ML is in favor of both criteria while FL only falls in the 2nd one so I think ML will recover fast while FL would take some time but will eventually recover too because for her there are just too many memories to sort through. Whereas people who don't fall into either of the criteria like Huo Bo Yu end up going crazy or killing themselves.

True I think both our confusions are quite genuine because one of them looks too old while the other one looks too young 😭😂.
