the way SFL explained the whole thing screams to me why FL doesn't approve of her and ML's relationship. SFL just conveniently shifted the blame onto ML's brother, if she is so irresponsible with handling something so serious as this I don't know how she even runs her business because that too requires a hell level of meticulousness. Another thing is that they shouldn't have shot the documentary or printed the posters until the couple is married, they are literally forcing ML to accept the relationship just for the sake of marketing, but somehow FL who is doing the right thing is being seen as selfish. For me it's either that ML and FL get together or they both remain single at the end, because whether it is SFL or SML I don't like them both, they both just think what they want to think and do what they want to, even crossing moral and emotional boundaries.
I saw the making video of the drama and it seems we will have nearly all the settings from different dramas. FL's fiance leaving her to marry someone else, a love triangle with SML, FL, and ML, maybe a contract marriage between ML and FL, obsessive SML who will kidnap FL, and love after marriage trop. We also have a rebellion, war, and family drama arc.😂😂
I can't seem to like the way FL is, she seems way too calculative. I know it is good to be calculative in business to gain more profit but not everyone likes to be used for their titles or riches, and if those people she encountered like the Acting president's dad or ML who are kind she might end up offending nearly everyone in the show. The people of the brocade cartel don't like her from the start and if even the officials feel offended she will have no way out. Bussiness is about relations as much as it is about good product and profit. (Also, ML kind of always hints her these things but she just can't accept them)
I think ML acts as a "countryside bumpkin" to hide his real feelings. So, why did I arrive to this conclusion, you see the scene where he confronted his ex-girlfriends brother there is way of talking, his expression, etc. were too different. Similarly when he suspected a stalker around the FL his trail of thought and the way he acted, his considerations, etc. seem different. Here we can say lies his true personality that suits his image of a firefighter. Another evidence is that the more tense he is the more he tries to joke around, like how he asks for FL's opinions on very serious things yet the way he asks sets them under way to lighter tone. And isn't everyone being too forceful about ML's marriage with SML, like they only meet like twice, they clearly don't match on several points, instead of saying love isn't everything and money can't solve differences, they are all just going with the flow rather even forcing ML to go public with the documentary. How can one even back out after a freaking documentary is made on them about a relationship and that too with a conglomerate. I don't know what the heck they are going to do about the relationship and marriage part as we only have 4 episodes and at least 2 episodes are needed for confession, maybe only 1 episode is all we will have of FL and ML together.
Feel like the actors are great but the script is lacking for a drama with only 10 EPS. We are only 4 EPS in so…
To me the FL and SML do give relationship vibes but considering this drama is about marriage rather than just relationships thus the chemistry becomes just one aspect of the many aspects, for me the way the FL and ML scenes are structures suit the concept. The way they are comfortable with each other, care for one another, make efforts, etc. I could be wrong but this is my analysis. You can re-watch some scenes with this comment in mind maybe it changes your mind.
oh man, this is either going to be huge or thrashy drama, with no in-between. From its looks, it is a crime thriller that is centered around the relationship between our ML and FL. The killer has some vendetta against ML, and given that he knows who his wife is hints that he is someone close to either ML or the FL. One thing is clear ML and FL both like each other but the way their relationship was formed and the problems that ML has in his life are keeping these 2 apart. Clearly, the way they got married and the way things are with both of their families shows that ML purposely keeps his distance and doesn't want FL to compromise. Let's see how it goes! I wish they could just release all the episodes at once.
It's just a doubt but Is it necessary in kdramas/cdramas that a modern or career-oriented FL is the one who doesn't…
Fewer complaints for kdramas because at least they make the FL hold herself accountable for her actions and choices that led to ML or other people getting hurt by making her apologize and chase the ML or sometimes make someone with that mindset an SFL who doesn't get the ML. But in cdramas it's somehow ML's sole responsibility to chase and apologize😂😂 irrespective of the plot. I really want to see a drama where FL breaks up to go chase her dreams and then comes back after realizing oh well the break up was unnecessary and the ML is like hell no! and marries someone else😂.
It's just a doubt but Is it necessary in kdramas/cdramas that a modern or career-oriented FL is the one who doesn't want a family or marriage? Just so that towards the end of the show after tormenting the ML (who for sure is a super simp otherwise no one in their right mind will put up with this type of treatment) and the audiences, the FL understands that being career-oriented and having a family can be done side by side with some planning and understanding between the two people that are in the relationship. (My only hypothesis is that they are trying to show people that being modern or career-oriented doesn't have to be done by antagonizing relationships. Rather you can be in a relationship or marriage and chase what you want if you choose your partner wisely. And it's not about making one's life problems-free (which is impossible!!!) but rather choosing the problems or things that make your life happier and less regretful)
I understand that our FL is a divine physician, but to increase their screen time together the writer should improvise different scenarios rather than severely injuring the ML each time he comes back. This has happened so many times that life-threatening problems are being treated as the common cold. Apart from this, the overall plot is quite nice, I love the scenes where FL and ML are together. The comedy, the action, the pacing, and the cinematography are all nice.
Let us gift some spine to FL's father. That guy is too much, so easy to manipulate, and a big simp. If not for FL's grandmother and grandfather, he might not be an official today.
I am not able to exactly point out but there is something different about this series in terms of cinematography or maybe editing, but it feels different and refreshing. Moreover, it's been a while since we had a drama on just comedy, there are a few of these every year but they are all gems.
I am at episode 18, and although I don't usually support breaking up for the greater good or other person's safety here the writer actually made the point work. FL was in prison, the evidence wasn't on her side, he got attacked, then the whole thing with his parents and estates situation. So, if he can get attacked so easily, how will she not get struck in prison or after her expulsion, also his uncle is not that easy to deal with due to how good his people are at clearing out evidence thus ML can't beat him at least in the near future. No, wonder he believed she was safe away from him in protection of his secret guards (I am not that sure but I saw him getting regular updates on her).
I want the end in which ML is the royal advisor (with his hearing returned) and FL becomes the music minister, while ML's uncle and FL's sister are both removed from their titles while his uncle is also sentenced to exile, that would be so satisfactory. I'm not too fond of ML's uncle and FL's sister they are like a match made in heaven in terms of their personality😂. Although, I don't like how the SML is all that clingy and ready to take his chance whenever even a minuscule amount of problem happens between our leads, apart from that he is a nice character. But what makes me pitty him even more is the fact that his main love interest is supposed to be Huang Ying, the most crazy and impulsive character in the drama so far😂. I hope the writer doesn't make this drama another one where both or either of the leads leave their title to live a commoner's life but rather one of those where both end up being a power couple with their powers intact. Can't wait for it to end tomorrow.
it is a different take for a crime thriller vigilante kind of drama, but the acting, the CGI, and the story progression are straight-up awesome🔥. Moreover, the role Park Shin Hye is playing is so complex in just 2 episodes she had to play 3 different characters (the original soul of the body, the demon, and the criminal during his trial), and the way things are I believe there will be more similar instances. There is the mystery about ML's case which I believe will be the main focus that will somehow also involve the assemblymen's family. I loved the first 2 episodes the action, the pace, the scenes are really good. Also, Rejoice kdrama fans we now have a demon who is a judge from hell😂.
I took a pause after episode 25 to binge this drama once it ended but I was shocked after reading the recent comments and the trailer. It seems there is a royal decree granting (forcing) another marriage on Shen Du and that too with a princess. But as far as I know, FL was the legal wife of ML and there can only be one legal wife while all the other are counted as concubines which in most cases are people from peasant or lower backgrounds. The legal wife is the one who has all the privileges and power of the household. Plus most dramas I have seen, to avoid being granted such marriages people either tried or got married to the one they liked early on or secretly, making them their legal wife as no one issues a royal decree for concubines (like why would they). Another thing is, wasn't the Empress all about women's empowerment and liked FL's attitude and achievements? Why is she suddenly like, "I like you girl, but let me add another woman in your life who will fight with you for the rest of her life for the attention of the love of your life, while you are under the constraint threat of being driven out of you own home. Best of luck for your career while you handle the mess I made for you." quite a strange way to reward someone, isn't it?
Niu family (general, his daughter, and Son-in-law):-bring out all the soldiers.
everyone else: O_O
