I actually like it so far. I find the male lead to be quite cute and I like his costume as well. I also like the FL to all points you've mentioned. She's happy, bubbly to which lighten the mood of the drama and I like it because the actress fits that aspect of the role. And let's be real, I don't want to watch a drama where the female lead looks like a man, especially if it's a romance in between a FL and ML. I rather watch a ML ML drama for that. And totally agreed with you that it's a drama and not a serious historical one or to be more closely to history as many people have complained about it's not a "documentary." Usually I am very critical and I do find this drama so far refreshing and fun to watch.

You're right. So far there's nothing too crazy so it's somewhat light and entertaining. Realistically though, since there's romance, a historical drama that portrays very closely to the past won't get enough fans or interests. The female character will have to look like a man and none of us will enjoy that. Generals or people practicing kung fu won't have nice thin bodies and skin as such. Hair won't be smooth and silky and especially costume -wise, will look very ugly and boring. To be closer to history, a high budget movie would be a better choice to tell that story. Not drama.

I am the same with you. But then again, there are many types of fans and reviews are largely based on that. Not many unbias out there. I am bias as hell too.

Yeah, I am not really into that whole idea of all the female going ga..ga.. over the ML. A part of the story in which I don't really like.

Agreed. I gave it a 2/10. Way too childish to the point of being frustrating and annoying. I just had to write a review myself.

Ok, I got to ep 11. Thus far this FL is childish, dumb, untalented, and annoying. I've been skipping through since ep 5 because of her. And that little stalker, who in the world like someone like that? One of the most annoying character. If this keeps up, I am going to have to drop this drama. It's actually frustrating to watch.

When will the FL start acting like an adult? She doesn't look young enough to act like that. It's getting on my nerves.

I have to drop this after a few episodes. Liked ep 1, 2 a lot but then the dialogues got me. My god, middle-school flirts. If these type of talking and communications really come out of adults all the time as such then these people have seriously issues. Too many tropes, dialogues suck big time, story line messy and many situations don't make any sense. However, I like the elderly and the kid. I also like the actor and actress. But this drama, definitely not my cup of tea.

I dropped this drama at ep3. I just couldn't stand the leads in here. Both FL and ML, perhaps the makeup? I don't know, but FL looks unlikable [so offense to the actress] and worst is her character. Yeah, it's tough to continue a drama when I don't like the main characters.

Ohhh I passed on this drama and didn't watch it just because I was never a fan of Lin Gengxin and though I really like Zhao Liying when she first debut and a few first dramas she was in, I became less of a fan as well. I too want to see a FL that's stronger in martial arts than ML. But I did like "Who rules the world", "The last immortal", the latest one is "fued." Whether the dramas are your style or not, the FLs in here are strong.

I've just finished ep 1. So far I like it. It also helps that I like both ML and FL.
