Update: I did break a teacup LOL. But at the end of episode 10 I see the light when YM and Xiao Xiao started to talk about the lamp. Excited for episode 11. YM is very smart. She's just a bit careless.

Many older generations of Asians grew up in Asia, that type of beating is quite normal. In chinese culture and similar asian cultures, there's a saying “打是亲，骂是爱” (pinyin: dǎ shì qīn, mà shì ài) or “打是疼，骂是爱” (dǎ shì téng, mà shì ài). Anyways, this doesn't relate to this situation in this drama but I am just saying so you know that in the old days, getting beaten and spanked by your parents wasn't that big of a deal. This type of belief and education don't apply anymore to our time of course. Aside from his father, no one else in that household dares to mistreat him. But for sure his father and him, they have a very dark relationship and and it's beginning to unfold.

LOL I am way off. I like that actors, I don't want him playing evil role.

OMG you guys, I am going to spoil this for you guys so if you don't want to know then don't read on. I am thinking the ml's older brother is not dead. There was a flash back on episode 10 that I think he actually knows the fl and he might be the one who is her pen-pal from Japan. He's coming back soon so let's see. I might be wrong but this is getting very interesting. And the fl's father. I am thinking she's related to the sfl. They might be sisters same father, different mothers.

He's not mistreat at home. His relationship with his father is not too good and you'll see why in the upcoming episodes. As for his life outside, he's a spoiled, rich, powerful son as an act.

ohhhh noooo, I am on episode 10. DLR seen and has been listening to YM when she was at Xiao Xiao's place. This guy has been placing hidden cam, listening devices all over the place and these ladies, the lawyer, who should have knowledge about this type of practices, none is paying attention. Now it's not going to be fun. It's just going to raise my blood pressure. And DLR and his first wife on YM's bed.....grosssss. ...YM, you need to get more smart girlfriend! YM's best friend, the lawyer, and Xiao Xiao girl, each just loss a point from me as of now. LOL YM is a bit careless but her words, actions, quite smart so she still has full points.

I hope not. The ex wife or first wife is too cruel of a woman. The home-wrecker woman is bad but she's not nearly as evil. I saw the preview for episode 10..oh noooo....

What are you watching? I am looking for more to watch too.

Yeah, I hope that doesn't happen that's why I truly hope she learns to take charge and take back what's hers.

I have just finished "Against the current, Spring of the blade, Irreplaceable, and Take charge of my heart", and yes, I normally watch multiple dramas at once. I need them before I sleep. I was worry that I have nothing else to watch since I currently I am only watching "Disappearing beauty," and everyday with just 2 episodes is not enough for me until I ran across this drama. I didn't know this drama came out but I saw the nice poster so I looked for it to watch. I am so far captivated. I like the lead characters so far and from what the show has been showing us thus far, the actors are casted perfectly for the roles they're playing. The story so far is interesting and the leads are constantly drawing me in. I am hoping to see happiness and pain in the situational way, not stupid and avoidable misunderstanding or toxic way. High hope for this drama and who cares about that rating above. To me so far it is definitely captivating and I am looking forward to the next episodes.

Sariyakhan, I agree with you. It's bullying in a very stupid way at that. These bullies have no brains. This is actually quite funny. I work in the beauty industry and seriously I have seen countless Chinese to be specific, and in general Asian women got their two front teeth done longer, and wider. Fashionably speaking this is considered adorable and pleasantly cute this period in time. Those people who are mocking the actress for this are, or will probably get their teeth done to look similar to hers soon enough. Not everyone is someone's cup of tea. I say this because there are actors, actresses I don't want to watch but I would not mock their appearances. After all, they are the ones that are famous with tons of people who are idolizing them, and those who are mocking them, who are you again??? Saying this I don't mean to attack anyone in particular but your opinion and critic for an entertainment work, or an actor's performance is one thing, but mocking the way people look is another. Take a look at yourself in the mirror first before doing so.

40 episodes drama. It's going to be quite a wait.

Yeah, for sure. He has manipulated all these women thus far and even got control of the company. I just hope these women won't get beaten up too badly by him.

Yeah I feel the same with you here. I actually really this FL character and I am hoping we will see her development into even better character than she already is. I just hated when bad guys get the upper hand and the leads end up having to suffer too much and then they give us a quick win for the leads where I am left feeling so unsatisfied. I am afraid quite a bit for YM too as I know DLR will find out and will start harming her directly. As for Chang, I like his character in here as well and he's cute. Doctors can be a bit old but lawyers can be younger as they don't need to spend all that years in school. But yes, he does look youthful and a bit thin. Personally a bit more meaty would make him cuter in my opinion. But geez, all these chinese actors, every single one of them, I don't know how they keep themselves in such slender shapes. I am so jealous. It takes me months to lose some weight and just a few days to gain all back.

Yeah, he did tell Hui that he would make YM disappear. I think we will see more crazy and evil stuff from him. This actor has been great playing these evil roles so he won't disappoint.
