Omg imagine if the mother is still alive? Suige does not stand a chance with 2 control freak women around him…his…
Nah, FL character is very composed and sympathetic. I don't see anything freaky or out of control about her as she is very caring, soft, and respectable toward the ML.
Yeah, agreed. I am hoping this drama is fluffy and fun. I don't mind the contract marriage idea as I think they…
Definitely. Try mainstream movies or if you really like drama, perhaps the western ones. Some are really good. I think western dramas have much less drama tropes.
No offence but I have to say Kdramas nowadays are becoming too predictable in their plots and the settings are…
Yeah, agreed. I am hoping this drama is fluffy and fun. I don't mind the contract marriage idea as I think they can be quite fun to watch BUT, with this one I am already seeing all the familiar tropes such as a cheated ex, a rich and powerful elder with jealous children, an heir from a rich family with parents killed in accident that turned out to be a murder case instead from a family member that wants the inheritance, a cousin that could be another option for being an heir, a noisy aunt/uncle that's money hungry, a villain of a uncle, in this case a married in uncle that is saintly on the outside yet, a true devil in the inside. And as of episode 2 another familiar trope of childhood encounter that left the lasting impression on the leads. Gosh, I am sure there will be so many more to come but I 'll watch this if it's fun. But once it goes dark, I am going to drop it. You're so right about K-dramas these days. I wonder why writers keep going back to ideas that have been used soooooo many times over and over. If fantasy, then how about something so out there that makes us viewers wooo haahhh wow! Or if relatable then how about something without a rich and powerful prince or some groups, corporations, etc. So tired of these stories, how many of us can relate to that?
As a fashion designer, I love her styles in this drama. Frankly, the only thing I love about this drama besides…
Actually, most of the clothing you see in dramas these days are sponsored. Same goes to cars, accessories, etc. There are rentals as well but not so much for those only applies to particular items that they really need as such having significant role in the drama. Fashion brands have PR show rooms and reps that work with celebrity stylists as well as show stylists, designers to borrow out clothing for the shows as well as special events such as award shows, etc. Most cases celebrities don't buy their dresses or jewelries for those red carpet events. Many cases companies will send out clothing to celebrities for free just to have them wear and expose their brands. The PERKS of being famous.
I finally reached an episode where Haoming takes off his mask and all I can say is I HATE THIS DUDE he deserves…
I got to the part where he's starting to do goods and trying to keep her, BUT I still don't like him, and I don't think I ever will. So I know from what I think the ending of this series will be, it won't be what I wanted.
I have been hating Shen Haoming since the crying at dinner scene where XuYan begged him to start over but he still…
I am not dropping the drama but starting with ep22 I am waiting for all ep to come out and just going to skim through them. I agreed with you here that I would love it much, much more if Xu Yan has a better man for her or just be the new modern woman of 2025 and happily single. One's happiness doesn't have to always ending up being with someone. Anyhow, I got bored of this series and I couldn't get myself to like HaoMing in which I should since he's the ML. I did however really like the beginning to this drama. I thought the story line started out very promising. I am more interested in "Fated Hearts" now. It's more interesting to me so far.
Both are bad people. Jealousy get people to nowhere but destruction as we all know. But to me Fang Lei is worst. Sun Si Wei is jealous within the work limit. Fang Lei wants to get with her dead sister's ex. Now I think that type of mentality is a bit sickening especially there's a child involved as well. She's a sick girl.
Just finished ep20, I can't help myself but to get on here and write this. Seriously drama writers need to stop with having characters that are nobody such as this guy "Steve" in this drama for example to have such power or to go to such length as to ask to check out the leads' hotel suite. And then asked them to kiss to prove they're a loving couple still? Why do they need to prove anything to anyone that are irrelevant? Especially this nobody guy who basically a stranger. I've noticed this sort of pressure from unimportant or irrelevant characters in so many C-dramas, such as reporter as well. They can investigate and ask certain questions but to deeply invade someone's privacy, that's unrealistic and I don't think anyone of us in whether in real life or if you were to live in a drama would put up with. Some of you guys might say the leads need to show that couple that they're happily married because that's what that couple value. BUT, if I were in the other couple's shoes I would not be in my right mind asking some friends I've just met to prove anything to me. Having people showing PDA in front of me by me asking, I don't think that makes me comfortable watching. Classy or high class people, so they called them, would not care enough or push people on little things like this. These type of scenarios are so ridiculous and I keep on seeing it in C-dramas, mostly in smaller budget or with teens type of dramas but even at some dramas with bigger names as this one. It's so strange to me. If I were one of the lead and were ask to prove something by someone who's irrelevant to my life, I would be like "Who the f*** are you? Why do I have to prove anything to you? And get your f****** stinky nose out of my business." Oh, and if I were that couple in the drama, I would press charges on that Steve guy.
I would love it if she rejects him at the end. A man that calculative no matter at what cost and carefully plans…
It's actually funny that we are so into these dramas that they frustrated us to the point we have to vent it out by writing on here. But yeah, I do see your view . For me though, I am not a sexist at all but I do think that men are generally are less detailed than women are and if a man is too detailed where he paid attention to every little details about someone or something truly scares me. With these characters, frankly speaking, I don't like them but they are the main characters therefore, I supposed to have feeling for them to continue watching and for sure for the sake of the viewers, writers have to find ways for us to sympathize and feel for the leads. And I think they are starting to do with episode 16. As for ML's qualities that you have mentioned. Though I do understand, but I am not so sure. He loves his son of course, given that he loves his son's mother a lot. He's out to find a good step mom for his son. I don't see this as a quality. To me, quality is him spending as much of his time possible and make his son feel full of love that doesn't require a step mom's care. Many children these days grow up full of love and become great members of society with just one parent. With ML's parents, his father is still the head of the corporation and in full control. If ML wants a piece of it he has no choice but to be good. In addition, they've covered and looked out for him so much to give him that spot in the corporation. If you watch those moments where his father speaks to him, you could see even the father is somewhat taken aback by how calculative and detailed Hao Ming is. About YuYan, he treats her as such, same as the way she treats him. They did that with purpose and we know what the purpose is. So it's not out of his heart or kindness toward her. At this point I don't hate our leads. I just thought if I ever met a man as such, would I ever let my guard down and feel at ease with him? Or would I be constantly checking behind my back and every move I make because I know he'll be noticing everything I do, even better than myself? A scary thought huh? LoL Have you heard of a saying "江山易改,本性難移 / 江山易改,本性难移 ?"
I would love it if she rejects him at the end. A man that calculative no matter at what cost and carefully plans…
I see what you mean. When I was at ep7 I was most upset with the FL especially regarding her grandmother missing out on her wedding. I felt so bad during the scene where she was telling her grandmother hinting she shouldn't come to the wedding. Your opinion might change at later episodes like mine did though :) Happy watching.
I wouldn't say mentally unstable. I think he's playing a dark character here that's all. The costume, hair, makeup…
Yeah, I would guess he's the one that shot her as well. She must know something very important and he's acting up now knowing she has lost her memory so he's testing her to perhaps kill her again if she remembers something.
The physician is a dilemma, something not quite right about her 😵💫
They should kill her off early on. I don't like it when I can't tell if someone is good or bad. Her actions, facial expressions are showing innocent and kind in a very dark way.
