I also read the novel, I can see why you feel discouraged with the changes, but I thoroughly enjoyed both! The novel definitely had more spicy scenes for them lol! I normally see movies or dramas that are from novels as more of the directors interpretation of said novel. Just like a singer that does a cover for certain songs, they put their signature way of singing it rather than singing it like the original singer to differentiate.
