After Pat and Jeng break up, Pat blocks Jeng on everything. There is a 2 year time skip. Pat, Chot and Ae start a marketing agency. Pat and Jeng meet again while pitching for a new Fjord campaign. Pat mistakenly believes Jeng is trying to play tricks to get back in his life. Tae approaches Ae to have Pat work on the marketing campaign for the Karaoke Night heād originally planned with Jeng. Tae ultimately wants Pat and Jeng to clear the air. Pat gets upset with Jeng because he believes Jeng put Tae up to hiring him.
In the interim, Jeng takes Jaab to the airport because heās going to see Jen in Japan. Jengās dad is preparing to make Jeng VP because for the last two years Jeng fell in line.
Pat decides to do Taeās event and while meeting at the restaurant he finds out from Tae that Jeng didnāt put him up to hiring Pat. Pat speaks to Jeng and they clear the air and Pat unblocks Jeng but neither of them have the guts to send the first message.
At another meeting to taste the food for the event and to meet with Put, who will participate in the marketing, Jeng makes the food and he makes a special menu item, āshrimp nuggetsā. This throws Pat into an emotional state. He proceeds to get black-out drunk in normal Pat fashion. Pat then sings a song and Jeng hears him and enters the room. Overwhelmed by the scene Jeng leaves and everyone encourages Pat to follow. Pat and Jeng have an emotional apology filled scene and decide to start over. Pat wants to stay with Jeng but Jeng sends Pat home because heās drunk. Jeng promises Pat that he will visit him the next day.
The next morning, Jeng shows up, Pat is in shock because he was black-out drunk and forgot the conversation they had, typical Pat. They have a role play of starting over. Jeng asks Pat if he has a boyfriend, Pat says no and stops Jeng short of asking him to be his boyfriend again.
Jeng resigns from Jian Group and his dad tosses his resignation letter in the trash. Jeng sets up a tea with Pat and his mom. Patās mom comes in like big boss lady, asks two questions and then tells Jeng to take care of his āfriendā and leaves.
Jeng and Pat are dating and talking about moving in together and the show ends while they are in an IKEA.
In the novel, Jeng builds them a house and has it decorated in both of their aesthetics, they move in, live together for 8 years then get married. During that time, Pat started Broccoli House and Jeng invested as a partner but he was still head of Jian Group. The blow up from Episode 11 actually happened around Broccoli House and not Jian Group. Pat couldn't make ends meet and Jeng deposited a large sum of money into his business account and that pissed Pat off.
As far as Jeng's family, the mom comes around first and then about 6 years in, the dad comes around. All Jeng's cousins love Pat and Pat becomes a member of the family.

The comments and reviews on this series are WAY more entertaining than the series itself. What was this ending? I was confused from start to finish. THEN to find out Mai = Thana and Patis = Rayou... speechless. Then the scene were Mai basically says he is straight after attempting to SA Rayou and Rayou still wants to be with him?! WHAT IS THIS MESS? I've never given a series one star but here we are.

At first they assumed they were there with girls, but when the police pressed Ren for more information he lied and said he forced Kazuma to sleep with him. - Kazuma's mother was furious and Ren's parents disowned him, forced him to change his last name and shipped him off to a boarding school in France. - When Kazuma awoke after a month, Ren was gone and he had no way to contact him. His mother then sent him to the US. - In France, Ren attempted to unalive himself. He met the other designer, Yagami from ep2 in school in France. Yagami was interested in Ren, but Ren was hung up on Kazuma. Yagami even tried to hook Ren up with other guys and he would get physically ill. This explains why Yagami knew who Kazuma was when they were introduced. - It's later revealed that Ren knew Kazuma was going to join his company. The "surprise" he expressed when he first saw him again was to hide his excitement at finally seeing him. - It's also later revealed that Kazuma searched all over Europe trying to find Ren but couldn't locate him because Ren changed his last name. - Kazuma's mom runs into Ren and they talk. She reveals that she witnessed Ren crying next to Kazuma's hospital bed and she felt that he wasn't being honest about forcing her son to sleep with him. She was envious of the love he expressed for Kazuma. She eventually came around to the idea of them seeing each other. - Kazuma and Ren start dating and move in together. Ren finds a box in Kazuma's house with all his research from when he was trying to locate Ren all over Europe.
At Work - Its revealed that Kazuma's awful boss has a history of SA and SH and many people have either quit or gotten fired because of him. Ren encourages one of his co-workers to report the boss. In retaliation, the boss lures Ren to the office and attempts to SA him. - Both Kazuma and Ren team up to take the boss down and he is eventually brought up on charges.
I like the storyline but I'm not fond of the acting, gives me 2000's bl vibes (stiff and lacking passion).
You're exactly right. I couldn't put a finger on what was off but it's definitely the stiff acting. Every movement is intentional and not fluid in the MCs interactions.
However, now that I think of it... maybe it IS intentional. The main characters did have a realllly awkward first time. They were immediately separated and had no contact for over a decade. Imagine being in thier shoes. All the questions you'd have. Have you dated anyone, why did you leave me, why didn't you find me, did I ruin your life, are you mad at me? My questions would be endless.
From Kazuma's perspective, he has NO clue what Ren went through after he fell ill and Ren won't open up about it. The fact that thier FWB arrangement has so many rules, makes the thier interaction more transactional than intimate. So many unspoken things between two people would make for really awkward feelings.
