I liked it, but they left out my favorite part of the manga. When Wataru's parent asked Minato if he was really sure about Wataru because he's moody and a pain in the ass. They went on and on it was so funny. That scene fell flat in the finally for me. also, they made Wataru more annoying in the show. But overall I liked it.
One observation, Minseong definitely matured from his first season on HM. He seemed more confident and comfortable. The way he chased Hyeongjun but was also realistic and didn't allow himself to be pulled into a dramatic situation was well done. I'm happy for them. They give me old married couple who teases each other vibes. Their banter was really cute.
Yunjae 💕💕💕 I hope he finds someone who deserves him.
Yes! He's the strong quiet type. Like when you get to know him I'd think he'd give good advice. He deserves someone expressive that allows him to be himself.
I just wonder, are they really this shy and guarded? One week is really not enough, but they knew it was about…
I agree, 1 week isn't enough. The Boyfriend from Japan has a better setup. A month was perfect because it takes time to warm up to people, especially when you've never dated seriously or your really guarded in general. They really should consider at least 2-3 weeks. The other thing I like about The Boyfriend was they worked together. Sometimes working with someone and seeing their work ethic can spark something as well.
Why the heck did they force Hangyeol and Hyeok Jin to face each other outside and use the phone to communicate??…
Yeaaaah that was so weird! Hyeok Jin was already sensitive about the whole situation that was just down right mean of the producers. And Hangyeol looked so uncomfortable like he didn't want to do it. They'd already talked it out so that face to face phone call was unnecessary.
honestly I love that they gave them the option to not choose someone in the end. This should be standard in every…
Ok, I thought Su Min was attractive the entire time, so I couldn't figure out why he wasn't being picked!
But as the show progressed he just got better and better. He was so mature and loyal to his feelings. He never tried to lead anyone on and he sat with his feelings and didn't try to pressure anyone when his feelings weren't reciprocated.
I hope he finds someone that he can love on and that will accept his love. He gives me gold retriever boyfriend vibes. Such a cutie.
So only Minseong & Hyeongjun are dating right now, huh? I did get the feeling that Hyunjun & Sunwook might…
I agree, they should be friends. I got the impression that it would be hard to date HJ IRL. it always felt like he was being insincere, even if he wasn't. and he answered questions with questions, which always feels cagey.
That take is not accurate. In the previous shoot of this season, Hyunjun chose Sunwook for his first date when…
When I say "boring" I'm speaking of the nature of these shows. Reality shows are about drama to keep you watching. It's unfortunate, but true. So if you're "boring" and don't give them anything to be sensationalized, then they will make something up. It's the reality of these kinds of shows. People watch for the drama.
It is true. But also they are not in a real life situation: Sharing a room and the bed with people they do not…
I can understand that. this season was introvert heavy. However, most of them were in the first taping, if they were gonna be stiff the second go around, why return? I dunno it feels more like they should be in the house longer so they get comfortable with the cameras and comfortable with each other. I like the format of The Boyfriend better. Also, after a month or 2 on the boyfriend they have more content to edit with.
In defense of the PDs and their editing, I have a theory as to why we don't see more hyunjun and sunwook content. HJ doesn't talk! He gives one word answers and his only reasons for liking Sun Wook are because Sun Wook likes him. Even Sun Wook is trying to pull any sliver of emotion from him. So the PDs are having to create drama to keep people watching because the end game couple is too boring to hold anyone's attention. SW and HJ just aren't interesting on camera.
I was thinking the exact same thing. Well, their life, their choice and all that.
oh yeah absolutely. I think they need to change the format of the show somehow or just stop doing the show because now it seems like a competition to make sure you don't end up without a match at the end. as opposed to trying to find your person. but that could be because they had a whole season and then redid it with the same people. there were too many dynamics in play. I feel like the Japanese show "The Boyfriend" is better because they live together for a month. so there is more time to really get to know each other.
I feel like Su Min and Sun Wook are a better match. if SW chooses HJ I think he will eventually be disappointed. HJ is too nonchalant. they are fun to chase but they give you nothing in a relationship. overtime you get tired of trying to pull their feelings and emotions from them cause they feel nothing and everything is a bother to them. so if your relationship get complicated or strained, they can't be bothered with trying to make it better.
HJ just reminds me of a hot boring person. YJ is interesting, he's quiet but he has depth. HJ has zero depth. he's surface only and just wants to coast and be comfortable. I could see that being frustrating in a relationship overtime. hJ is like Frankenstein 😆
So, HJ and SW are end game? Am I reading this right? YJ, baby, if someone says, "I just don't want you to get hurt", walk away. If someone says, I'm 70-80% set on someone else, walk away. If you got NO gift from him AND he didn't make you #1... you guessed it, walk away. And I say this as someone who shipped HJ and YJ.
However, I see where YJ thought there was an opening. Holding hands with HJ for comfort was cute. But I think YJ was reading more into it than HJ wanted him to and HJ knew that would be the case. I believe HJ just didn't want to hurt YJs feelings, but also, HJ was kinda leaving the door open too, that's why he kept saying his choice was a secret every time he was asked.
I'm fairly confident HJ is going to call SW in the next episode. And I think they make a better pair energetically. SW is outgoing and talkative, HJ is quiet and reserved. HJ and YJ were awkward and quiet with each other because they are too much alike. I could see that get boring for both of them. YJ needs someone direct who will take charge of the convo and pull him out of his shell.
I actually think JaeHa and YJ would have made a nice couple. JH was very sweet to YJ. But I know they had no interest in each other.

At least that's my theory.
