They have turn Hayeong into a desperate clingy person and her characters personality just doesn't lend to this kind of grovelling. if they do end up together, she needs to ditch him and he needs to grovel for 8 episodes. I hate to see female characters beg a man. Like honey, YOU are the prize in this situation. He should be grateful she is even looking his way. A broke photographer with a kid who is in a one-sided crush with a childhood friend. She is way out of his league. this part of the story is crazy unrealistic.

Watari's friends are great wingmen. When they grabbed Hioko and tossed him in Watari's lap and he just went with it and grabbed Hioko by the waist. That scene was really cute to me.

I can understand that perspective. Having a kid, he probably didn't want to burden Da RIm, or he was trying to figure things out anyway.

But even with the "fake husband" act, DaRim is still calling him a friend, teasing him about Ha Yeong like a sister and there is no romance between them. She even comfortably talks about another man in his presence. It just seems it would be better to confess and see where it goes or move on. But I totally get that's not how everyone operates and it won't add to the angst of the show.

JKY needs to play a psychopath or a bad guy, at least once, because that dual persona scene was brilliantly done. That evil laughing expression was eerie.

I tend to agree with you on the job not being worth it. I get that she has loans, but as soon as the lie is revealed, in reality, that is immediate termination and she will REALLY struggle to find a job after that. Her reputation and references are shot at this point. Only JH can give her a good reference, but I'm sure the rumors would still spread.

I agree. At this point, it just feels like he's jealous of DaRim potentially finding love. Because HE told HER to find a boyfriend in Jeju. Then when she finds someone that is interested in her, he's immediately jealous. And not just over protective like a brother, full on blocking. It's weird.

I agree! I like that this ML is written with such strong principles and an actual moral compass. There are some stories where it's questionable.

His desire to be nothing like his father is so strong that any behaviors he see's in himself that are anything like his father, he rejects. Which is great, because his father is a mfer.

Someone mentioned this before, but Seonu's "love" for DaRim seems to have been triggered by seeing someone else interested in her and not necessarily his own feelings.

Every time DaRim has a problem, he's really passive about assisting her.Except for his attempt to get the art exhibition and in episode 7 when he ran to her. I felt like the only reason he ran to her in episode 7 was because he knew she was alone with Ji Hyoek.

In the beginning, when she was going to Jeju alone he said, "maybe you'll find a boyfriend there" like he was championing her finding a relationship. But as soon as he sees someone in her orbit, he's competing.

Seonu needs to really evaluate his feelings and tell DaRim how he feels. So she can either reject him or accept him.

I'm hoping in the next episode Ha Yeong really reveals this secret, because if it goes beyond episode 8, the story will start to drag unnecessarily.

DaRim needs to face the music and quit or get fired, because she lied (regardless of the reason). Then she needs a redemption arch because she's lied to everyone and forced Seonu and Ha Yeong to lie for her. Then she can try to salvage whatever she can from this potential relationship with Ji Hyeok. I just feel he will have a hard time believing anything she says after he finds out. Then he will overlook it, because of the power of love. 😆

I'm also curious how Ha Yeong's brother and Ji Hyeok's half sister will come into play later on.

My pleasure. I've watched both seasons a number of times and there are subtle things that happen throughout the series that give clues to what's really going on. Those subtle clues along with, cultural difference and some phrasing being difficult to translate can definitely lead to misinterpretation of the story. BUT that's the beauty of art. We, the viewers, will all have our own interpretations, because we have different life experiences. We may see ourselves or loved ones in one character or another. Those nuances shape how we interpret what we see. Also, some people are more biased by a persons physical appearance.The actor who plays Asami is styled to be more "attractive" than the actor who plays Shirasaki. It isn't because that actor isn't as good looking, he's very good looking. it's because he is styled to appear less confident. from his hair to his clothing. This is what makes this drama really well executed, in my opinion.
