Just Wondering which episode(s) you all would re-watch?My personal favourites are1. Ep 2 - takoyaki party- Keishi…
I rewatched episodes 1 and 2 quite a lot.
They started the list with a lot of enthusiasm and we learned a lot about the characters.
I've also watch episode 4, 5 and 6 alot. As Tojo starts to realize Keishi has been into him for a long time and they start getting more comfortable.
I have rewatched episodes 9 as well. I love when Keishi took care of Tojo while he was sick. my favorite part was the bunny shaped apples he cut for Tojo. It just showed that he really saw Tojo and wanted to make him happy with the cute things he loves. in addition to the sparrow with glasses. I think I will rewatch today's episode quite a bit too. it ended really well for me.
y'all!! Suzuko was giving Tojo the silent treatment!
ok, things I love about this episode:
- The editing!! when Tojo was deleting the list, watching the scenes go in reverse, in an attempt to erase his time with Keishi, brilliant.
- The scene where Tojo confesses to Keishi. They were in the open and talking loud. I loved that the scene felt like they were the only two people in the world. Beautiful.
- a real kiss! come on Tojo with the swift peck afterwards.
- Tojo realising eating a grocery store christmas cake by himself is not the move.
- Keishi waiting for Tojo to express himself and giving him space to say how he felt.
- Tojo asking Keishi to be his bf! I was like ah! Ok Tojo!!!!
- The way Keishi hugged Tojo when he woke up. Like he was the happiest man on the planet.
- We completed the list!
- The little sparrow plushies are holding hands now!! they were always separate on the bench.
- The cute little peck Tojo gave Keishi to wake him up!!
- Good thing Tojo only bought one pillow because he had to share with Keishi. hehe
I truly enjoyed this drama. there were a few episodes that could have been better but overall the show was solid.
Is 30+ really that OLD?The way some of you refer to Tojo (including Tojo himself) you would think he was a grandpa…
For anyone wondering, your 40s are fantastic! You have youth still on your side plus experience! These are literally your best years.
I think media and society start treating you like you're "old" because they can no longer manipulate you into buying their crap and you're less susceptible to influence. You also don't accept less than what you are worth and you're more discerning.
Society preys on youth and inexperience. They feed off of your energy (mental, physical and emotional) from 18-35 and then they want to call you "old" when you wisen up.
HY “babygirling” SSY cracks me up. The power dynamic between them is written and acted so well. HY knows exactly how to play into SSY’s need to be “The Alpha,” and it reminds me of my mom being the one with the real power while my dad thought he was in charge.
That scene where HY teases SSY, SSY warns he’ll lose his company if he stays away, and HY fires back, “Then I’ll just live with you and spend your money instead.” SSY calls him a freeloader, and without missing a beat HY snaps back, “oh you like winners? I'm good at winning. I always win.”
The way HY flips between dominant and submissive just to mess with and coax SSY is hilarious.
Tojo not being able to hear Suzuko's voice anymore. I really need to know what you all think about this.
I love the fact that the takoyaki machine is haunting Tojo. It's almost a reminder of the lonely path he is choosing. And when he sees the picture Sakuma took with Keishi and the others, Tojo gets another gut punch reminder that he is choosing this solo path.
And Sakuma knew Keishi liked him! Wow. Now, I'm wondering if he got a girlfriend just to distance himself from his own feelings for Keishi. Because he was still really touchy feely with him and sending all these signals. That would make an interesting backstory because now I don't think Keishi was too far off to think Sakuma might have liked him too.
Tojo crying over his cup o' noodles is TOO relatable when you aren't expressive in love relationships. When that single tear fell from his eye I was gutted.
The scene where Keishi asks Tojo why he's always deciding on his own was so well done. The pain and desperation in Keishi's voice when he pleaded with Tojo and exclaimed, "I don't need resolve, I just need you."
Also, the clock ticking that stops abruptly when Tojo says "Just forget about it" when Keishi asks, "What about the list we were so close to finishing it." Keishi ran out of time. whew!
And then when Keishi says, "Then at least, please eat this cake." He was so defeated. Like, "Don't throw everything away, at least eat the cake."
This show has so many layers, even though they missed the mark on a couple episodes, the underlying message is still there.
At first, I thought this BL would simply tick off one item on Tojo’s “before 40” list every episode. A kind…
You are 100% correct. Notice how Tojo gets really scared when the last few items include kissing and spending his birthday with a lover. These seem to be the two things that will lead to a deepening of his relationship with Keishi. Which would require both of them to open up and be vulnerable.
For Keishi its difficult because he has been pining after Tojo for some time and he doesn't want to scare him off. For Tojo it's much deeper, it means he has to face his feelings and "take responsibility for the feelings of another" two very heavy things for him. I think this is why Tojo loves dreamy things and make believe, because he finds it difficult to deal with the messy emotions and uncertainty real human connect brings.
Forgive me for who i am going to become when this scenes come out!https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSAgJDj8K/
Something I absolutely LOVE about this series, is the fact that Omega's aren't weak. I hate that troupe on other omegaverse stories. Hua Yong said "that's MY Alpha, who gon' check me?" hahaha
I guess it's because I read the manga but I'm not at all surprised by the progression of the drama. Filler episode…
You're right, the fake out kiss in episode three was the first clue. but they could have salvaged the entire series by making it interesting. at this point it's just all over the place from a storyline perspective.
the manga is eight chapters, but the show is 10… we need two fillers. Alaso, I doubt they can properly do the…
exactly!! Tojo told him he couldn't stop thinking about him why weren't they on the phone talking while he was gone?! such an odd decision to completely remove Tojo from his own show for an entire episode.
Where is this going? The plot is underwhelming. I had big hopes for this but today’s episode and general slow…
I agree, I wish he had tapered off from talking to his plushie, he has Keishi to talk to now. There are barely any scenes of them texting each other. Where is the flirting and getting more familiar with each other. Tojo being 40 doesn't mean he's incapable of flirting. It's almost like they don't even talk during the week, which can't be true,

I agree, they were going to need fillers, but they could have created two fillers that were actually about Tojo and Keishi. The rachet ball scene wasn't on the list and it wasn't in the manga and that was a great addition to the story. They could have had Keishi plan another outing outside of the list or a chance encounter at the store. Or they could have used this episode to show Tanaka catching them out together and then another episode of angst and chase.
They started the list with a lot of enthusiasm and we learned a lot about the characters.
I've also watch episode 4, 5 and 6 alot.
