Yeah that is another aspect of these dramas. In this drama her side kicks insulting him was outrageous! If the scene was reverse where FL is insulted by ML’s friends ML himself would be tagged red flag ! Fated hearts is in my watchlist.

Yeah I don’t get this wrong notion they have of what makes woman strong! Most of women centric C Dramas I could not continue because of it .I mean even at this day and age when woman have achieved a lot more equality and freedom still in fields that need physical prowess like army we cannot outdo men. They are the majority and that is how they are build by nature . Why can’t we accept it!! We can still be strong without trying outdo men !! I could also argue that this restricted view is insulting to women

It can’t even be called romantic for QM and YQQ . It’s forced intimacy so I don’t know why it was necessary to show so many scenes of theirs .

There is no time for them to plan for her downfall though . There is only enough time for their own downfall by the leads . All they can do is wait for that at this point :P

Same here. First half is one I would like to rewatch.a 100 times. Second half though was sort of a train wreck when we compare to the first half

not giving any f**ks is also sort of will be seen as arrogant. She is a sweetheart we know that but in the court behaving that would be seen as arrogant. Yes she was promoted for their own agenda but the way she behaved in the battlefield declaring I will not stand behind and you choose whom to kill to a Marquis seemed way too much for her stature within the army.
Narrative wise there was abrupt cuts a few times for which we have to blame the 40 epi limit and not the directors and editors. They tried their best

People complaining about FLs does not always come from misogynistic tendencies but also because many times writers do not do justice to FL’s character .like I feel they did to this one .

Ohh I have seen new life begins ! I have written a review on it as well about exact same thing ! I must say this drama is much better in that aspect . In that drama it’s worse for sure .

Yes No one I read had any problem with FL being strong . Complaining about FL’s actions does not automatically make us against strong FL. I did not see one saying FL should have been weaker. Being strong and brave has nothing to do with being best at something almost overnight and she can be equal to ML which is what the drama is pushing to us about FL but that doesn’t make sense in the context of the drama .
For example Someone just surviving every single day can be considered strong and brave while not being best at anything . It all depends on the circumstances someone is in.

In an adaptation, people will compare. It is very natural to compare. Every adaptation in every language/country is always compared to its original work. Everyone knows it is going to be different but why cant we discuss what we liked and what we did not . This place is exactly for that

I am not talking about her fighting skills . Almost everyone cheered her journey. It’s the court scenes and how she behaved etc etc. there are little things that does not fit her character after episode 30 or so .

Exactly! Show it with subtle actions no. Why announce out loud every chance they get. But looks like that’s what audience expect . If we complain it’s like we are against FL being strong 🙆🏻‍♀️
This obsession with FL needing to be physically strong and be equal to ML is getting too much now. What if an Fl is not physically strong but mentally is or it’s her journey to be strong. Males always had an advantage at those times so they would bound to be stronger in most cases . It’s okay if FL is weaker physically . It’s more likely that was the case those times . And I am talking about only physically and fighting skills not their status in a relationship
