Riding a horse is a different skill than martial arts. You cannot learn overnight even if you have the strength and other skills to understand the techniques. I don't see how flying to the rooftop can be compared to riding horse. I am coming from the assumption that horse was a rarity among commoners. If not then I understand she might have learnt early on like any other skills but in any case she has to have had practice.

Thought so! The show had done such good depiction of the FL and her circumstances but these kind of things brings me out of that setting. It feels as if these days periodic shows try too hard to make FL perfect and cool disregarding the setting she is in!!

Please someone help me out. In episode 17 CY rides a horse to get to XZ after she learns that he might be taken in by the army. How did she get hold of the horse. I know she came with the horse after rescuing the magistrate but how come she has a horse now. I did not get. How come she knows to ride a horse in the first place. Also Wasn't that a rarity among common people. I know she learnt martial arts from her father but did he teach her to ride horse too? It seems unlikely though.

I was thinking exactly that in episode 14 when they showed Chancellor wei sitting and his wife comes with tea! For me he ranks right after XZ right now :P

1. Their first kiss in episode 9. The way he asked do you want to taste some candy.
2. The way he went berserk with Guo Dali when Chang Yu was drugged.
3. The way he carries Ning in lantern festival after beating up Song Yan
4. The whole Chang Yu and the gang who turns to her side in pork shop.
5. The way Chang Yu says thanks with tears in her eyes the day he saves Ning.

Gosh. After Blossom this is the first periodic series i really loved and no wonder the director is the same.

Please someone help me out with one question i have. I am still in episode 7 and around episode 3 or so there was a guy coming in a carriage who gave lift to Changyu and he sat outside. The one to whom Mrs Zhao gave roasted chestnut. Where did that guy go? He was supposed to be in the village to search for the ML isn't it? The way he was introduced I thought he is second lead or something but he disappeared immediately after!

Yes she should cherish him at the same time he too has to look out for himself. I do not like it when they exist in the story is just to enable the FL. It is cute and romantic for a while but then it starts becoming too much for me. I hope Fang Muyang has his own growth and journey apart from helping FL realise her dreams. For me the real irking part his him ignoring his sister altogether. There was not even a single convo between them when she attended his wedding. So basically its not just about FL cherishing him but also his own thoughts, and his relationships among others being neglected by him. This is low key simping where nothing except FL exists for him and I hope there is some reason in the story for that and not because ML exists only around FL

I know what you mean. Although i do not agree with you for this instance but it is hard to find the balance these days. I have been watching Turkish dramas and there usually FL's are low key abused with no consequence so misogyny rules and in eastern dramas like Chinese and Korean I have observed its usually the other way round. ML's are simping over all the time with no weight of their own!! It is hard to find a drama with a good balance.

Not really. No one is angry with him at all. Even FL did not show anger. She was just sad and many of us could understand why and want him to understand not to do that again. She has been very clear about her dreams and what she is doing everything for to him from the beginning. Yes it is selfish of her but he is in it with his own consent so I don't see what was so wrong in her getting upset about her whole savings for her university gone overnight for a frivolous thing. Remember her dream to go to university has been for years and years. That kind of dedication and effort she has put into to uplift herself and in the process may be her family. Those times they were living in they have to be like that. It just feels human and expecting her not to be upset would be like she is some saint without any flaws! I understand why you feel bad for ML. He is indeed craving for love and acceptance so nobody is up in arms against him and over the course of time both will understand and give each other what they long for.

There is a difference between a wedding certificate and what she feels right now. It is clearly a contract for her in her mind. They have established that they will not have any husband wife relationship. Borrowing money is different from taking money without asking (and that too his sister's money to spend it and he only gave it back to her to keep it). That taking without telling is the problem when he knew it is her savings on the other his sister's money was given to be spent . So circumstances and context matter. I don't know may be you do not have a problem but many of us will have a problem if this happens to us in real. If my newly husband who I DO NOT consider my husband and he knows it and takes all my earnings which I had kept for my life long dream I would be upset just like her. More upset than her because those times were so volatile so you never know when can they get that much money back or if they will ever get it. And despite that she even forgave him no after that. She can't even get upset about it is a bit too much to expect from a young girl who is going through so much like her.

She is still not her husband. It is a contract for her. It is not little bit of money as well. It is her hard earned savings. Most likely almost all she had. Those times thats all they would have so her getting angry is understandable. Heck, even if I had a lot of money and still my fake husband took my money without telling me I would be angrier than her. His intentions might be good but being a practical person her frustration is very real. It is very easy for us as a third party to say to let go and enjoy but not for her living through it.

I dropped the drama after episode 18 but came here to check what was the ending. You said it girl. I was surprised that in the comments no one had issues with ML’s problems getting solved so fast as soon as FL lands in Hk. That is just such a lazy writing.
