It’s the misplaced arrogance in the garb of strong woman that everyone is complaining about. Specially in the context of the setting and the times they were in

Exactly. Like in front of that judicial guy when she was arrested she did not behave that way. She was so respectful throughout. And now she is in front of literal emperor so she would know that royal court is much bigger than judicial one and she was acting in such a crude way. It did not fit her character at all

I would not go as far as to say she threw tantrum but I am too is not fan of it when every drama does this. I think it is this need to push leads being equal and FL is not lesser than ML narrative that this happens. I mean it is ok if she does not want to rely on him but it is not enough in actions but there should be even an explicit dialogue atleast once from FL to say it out loud that she does not need ML to protect her and she says multiple times in this drama just to stress the fact for the audience that she is his equal. She is his equal as his wife but she is not his equal when it comes to their positions in the army but that difference is lost always.

Agree. From Linan to the capital. Every outfit of hers and even the overall get up is so on point. She looks so beautiful! Even XZ for that matter. He never looked so good in any periodical drama prior to this. It is his best look so far!

yes.. most of the flat scenes boil down to emperor being a clown. Its a cringe. for sure. I heard in novel he is not that bad. They should have kept him like that

I found the actual scene too a bit too much from her side. It was not needed. I cannot say it did not work for others because I see in twitter and here as well enjoying it. Just a very few of us are irked :)

That was a good one. I loved that. she can do that in private but the way she behaved in the court was too much for a newbie entering the court. She mmight be simple village girl but she too is not that naive not to understand the place she is in

Same here. We were discussing the same below in the comments. There is a fine line between being brave and arrogant. In a bid to show her brave they ended up showing her arrogant and added comedic relief instead of it all being serious

True. CY should have toned down. Even if she did not have Court etiquette she would know that court is not the place where you can behave however you want!

She disrespecting two most senior members is also too much for me bcs at this point emperor does not hold any merit anyways. Even if she lacks court etiquette, she knows she is in front of the emperor.
