Well I was talking about Song Wu not FL. I am in support of FL. Seeking your own happiness is not selfish just because someone is nice to you. As I said in the above (first comment ) no one would want to be a lowly concubine in an oppressive country if another choice to be in your own country with a loving family ! I understand ML too why he would like Li Wei . She is the only one who truly acted like she cared him as a person. But FL had her own family since birth who loved pampered and cared so she wouldn’t be moved easily by his niceness . Although gradually she would so study can happen. I don’t get it why every other comment here is against FL wanting to go to her home .

Yep everyday I expect for them to have atleast 15 min scene but disappointed every time :)

Same I am missing that ! I want more of those cute scenes we had during first 10 epis . It looks like they are already old married couple but that’s not the case . Their relationship didn’t go anywhere after they confessed :(

I am finding less and less focus on ML and to certain extent FL too in recent episodes :(

Yep she did some nasty things early on so I never warmed up to her. I found her very irritating in the beginning and then just got to the extent that I could tolerate her!!

What if you have been sent to a foreign country with completely different culture and then made a lowly concubine ? Even if your husband is nice to you if the culture is totally oppressing will you not wish to come back? Specially when even your loving parents are not allowed to your house or allowed to meet. I would at times even if I loved my husband but in this case she just starting to warm up to him let alone love him ! Him being nice is least he could do. She does. Not owe him anything for that

True that ! It irks me too. And I don’t see sweet interaction that much between leads after she came into picture so that irks me too . FL is happily clinging to the wife instead also First I want Li Wei to be jealous 😂 Like when she sees both of them alone discussing something tag along forcefully or something 😀

Yep that’s what I mean in my comment above too. Action speaks louder and I am loving Prince Zheng . I do hope they continue his character arc the same and he gets for what he is due professionally by being a crown Prince and a good king eventually and personally by getting rid of his wife and making Li Wei his legal wife. PS: I guess you tagged wrong person here bcs I am one if the defenders of both ML and FL :)

Although I hate that it happened and it irks me that FL doesn’t have any issues with it anymore but I don’t think ML is weak just because he married . He had no choice at that point. I find it realistic considering palace environment. He is ambitious and has plans , sensitive and soft but everything subtle about him not pompous. Even I felt initially that he should be more assertive but I observed he does show by action what he thinks silently and not by words .For ex: When Li Wei was angry bcs he casually said about women sacrificing . He didn’t try to just cajole her . He came up with a plan and then apologised to her . I love him for this

In today’s Interview of ML he said (according to translation I found in Twitter ) his legal wife was added in the story in a way that she will not bring conflict to ML FL but will be a close friend/tutor . So I am hoping it stays that way and she will depart sometime

Amidst all the kick ass scenes of women in the restaurant one scene I loved and gives such a subtle hint of the kind of person Yin Zheng is, is the scene with the King when he says I studied everything myself! That shows what he went through unlike other princes where King was actively involved in their education and life !

Well in last episode she said what I want is all here!! I wish Yin Zheng heard this :)

Agree on all that part but also bossing 6th Prince too for his learnings is what I can’t buy

Yep agree that it seems to be for a comedic affect and yes even I was thinking same with today’s episode that how both of them are product of cruel palace atmosphere !! And it’s a good premise for a life long friendship even after (I hope she does ) leaves to her home region !

I understand about FL and managing mansion but she is also giving instructions like a school teacher to the Prince like a kid. I don’t get that part. She had to marry because her father got so impressed with the prince in the first place so I don’t see why he needs a tutor . He literally acts like a peer with his real teacher but here equation seems to be too one sided just for humour sake or to show woman can be better than man not sure and I can’t buy that premise considering what we saw of Prince till now . That’s all .

You need understand that FL has come from a totally different region. Her culture is way different from his . Her family background is simple farmers background . But she still managed to not only survive but thrive!! Even after that I don’t see any wrong in her still thinking of going back even if she loves ML if her status remains of a lowly concubine vs a loving daughter in her own region however impossible it is . And she is chill and getting along not like crying every sentence to go back

I would love to see Yin Zheng overpower him just with his merit. Not sure if just merit would work in real history but this show anyway shows different in many things so …

Am I the only one who felt New wife is too much bossy ! Like I get it she has to train Li Wei to make her so called high society women but I am not getting this whole bossing around in the name of “assisting” prince where he isn’t even allowed to talk!! He was doing fine by his own ( to certain extent Li Wei too ) . She is sensible and there’s lot to learn from her but I felt it’s a little OTP. I am not loving her as much as everyone is somehow . although it’s still a fresh take

As much as I felt bad for Li Wei I felt for Yin Zheng too. Throughout his life his parents didn’t give a damn and he had to plan and wait for his time . But right when he thought it’s going good personally and professionally he was again made a puppet :(

I second that ! Even if these traits are shown initially in some dramas they totally forget that when ml falls in love with fl. I hope that doesn’t happen .
Also love the way he handles things when it comes to his so called family. Just keep a respectable distance . Even with his mother.
