In today’s Interview of ML he said (according to translation I found in Twitter ) his legal wife was added in the story in a way that she will not bring conflict to ML FL but will be a close friend/tutor . So I am hoping it stays that way and she will depart sometime

Amidst all the kick ass scenes of women in the restaurant one scene I loved and gives such a subtle hint of the kind of person Yin Zheng is, is the scene with the King when he says I studied everything myself! That shows what he went through unlike other princes where King was actively involved in their education and life !

Well in last episode she said what I want is all here!! I wish Yin Zheng heard this :)

Yep agree that it seems to be for a comedic affect and yes even I was thinking same with today’s episode that how both of them are product of cruel palace atmosphere !! And it’s a good premise for a life long friendship even after (I hope she does ) leaves to her home region !

I understand about FL and managing mansion but she is also giving instructions like a school teacher to the Prince like a kid. I don’t get that part. She had to marry because her father got so impressed with the prince in the first place so I don’t see why he needs a tutor . He literally acts like a peer with his real teacher but here equation seems to be too one sided just for humour sake or to show woman can be better than man not sure and I can’t buy that premise considering what we saw of Prince till now . That’s all .

You need understand that FL has come from a totally different region. Her culture is way different from his . Her family background is simple farmers background . But she still managed to not only survive but thrive!! Even after that I don’t see any wrong in her still thinking of going back even if she loves ML if her status remains of a lowly concubine vs a loving daughter in her own region however impossible it is . And she is chill and getting along not like crying every sentence to go back

I would love to see Yin Zheng overpower him just with his merit. Not sure if just merit would work in real history but this show anyway shows different in many things so …

Am I the only one who felt New wife is too much bossy ! Like I get it she has to train Li Wei to make her so called high society women but I am not getting this whole bossing around in the name of “assisting” prince where he isn’t even allowed to talk!! He was doing fine by his own ( to certain extent Li Wei too ) . She is sensible and there’s lot to learn from her but I felt it’s a little OTP. I am not loving her as much as everyone is somehow . although it’s still a fresh take

As much as I felt bad for Li Wei I felt for Yin Zheng too. Throughout his life his parents didn’t give a damn and he had to plan and wait for his time . But right when he thought it’s going good personally and professionally he was again made a puppet :(

I second that ! Even if these traits are shown initially in some dramas they totally forget that when ml falls in love with fl. I hope that doesn’t happen .
Also love the way he handles things when it comes to his so called family. Just keep a respectable distance . Even with his mother.

Loving this drama so far ! Leads are perfect . And the equations between all the girls are so cute. They really look out for each other . I really felt the sadness of the FL family. It’s so cruel that they had to come like that into palace to meet her but they still did all to see their precious daughter!

i have exact same feelings about male leads losing their premise once they are in love. Like they start ignoring their responsibility and by the end of the series even leave them altogether. I dont. get why they cant be responsible and be in love at the same time. DFQC just tending to the plant without doing anything else was just pathetic. Sorry to say that. Till episode 30ish he was handling well. After that everything went down the drain. I have seen the same with AOL too .
