I realised one scene I loved the most and gives such insights on what kind of people leads are is LX coming to ZY mom when he was expelled .
His mother just died without him being near her but he still came to beg for his friend . The effect that unkindness her mother showed by shutting her door on him you can see when he sees ZYs mother years later .
ZY being surrounded by family and friends on her birthday thought of a person drenching in rain and ran to give LX (a complete stranger then) an umbrella while her mother just shut the door on a desperate child . ZY is such an angel through and through .

What I like about this show is you can see throughout the series why each character end up the way they do since beginning including Gao. Not saying he is right but you can see how he is being undermined in the base time and time again before that he was always top of the class . Same goes with ZY . You can see how she is since her childhood . She is super sensitive. Her trying to give umbrella to LX who was then a complete stranger when he came to beg with her mother shows how she is as a person . Her mother didn’t bother and closed a door on a desperate child but her daughter even when surrounded by her friends and family happily celebrating thought about a person who is drenching in rain . she is strong but also sensitive and more and more with LX who gives her what she thinks she lacked always .

China indeed has great tradition architecture literature but even other countries have it too. India also had Golden period with great architecture literature and other feats . Fact that it’s not well known is because we don’t have such productions like C dramas have so lots of people don’t know about it and I am sure this is the case with lots of countries is what I meant :) anyway we are going round and round on something we both enjoy so cheers :)

I am loving all the discussions and POVs. At this point LX is in a situation where it’s not easy to let go nor easy to be with her. With all the things that happened when he sees ZY with her friend he can see the extent of the loss he suffered . Although insulting their past is not something he should have done it’s not out of his character and back story. But I really thought there will be atleast 1-2 encounters where there is pain and regret between them before he apologises not act normal as if nothing happened and they have moved on from each other!

True that ! What I meant in comment above is its also beautiful to watch different cultures in that era since India also had rich cultures but we don’t have shows like C Dramas depicting that. I came to know that C drama have 50% or more historical dramas with elaborate sets too. Don’t see this happening in any other country

I get what you mean ! It’s because it’s a historical series and they are showing something which are taboos and not accepted socially in many regions even now so it’s hard to digest that it was accepted then I suppose . Also even I feel they are covering all possible women centric issues not just 1 or 2 so yeah it’s overwhelming even if it’s enjoyable. The way characters are accepting change is super fast too considering how it was in the beginning of the series .

High five !! Huge thanks to C productions to give us these eras. My own country productions sucks most of the time

This ! I tend to watch historical drama exactly for the same reason . I love the whole atmosphere of historical era .

Same here . I find MLs dropping their responsibilities is common trope. AOL,LBFAD etc. I mean they are shown so good and best possible people to lead and bring about change but at the end they just leave ! Not a fan of it . I want YZ to take up the mantle and bring about changes with help of LW not run away as some people commented here

True even before YY she told YZ what she observed in her region. She was not a clueless child . She is just innocent and that doesn’t make her dumb

Yes Korean dramas has more suspense about the ending specially original scripts . Worst part about 2521 was break up didn’t make sense whatsoever . NJH and Tae ri were so good but :( Anyway last scene here felt exactly like that as if everything they had is vanished !! I wish there was atleast one scene with ZY being bitter and LX showing regret one

True that . Every region seems to be faring quiet well in terms of rules and regulations freedom etc except XinChuan . Even Lords (Except JinChuan may be ) are good too. King might not have been maker of these rules may be it came down from generations so I am still hoping King does some changes because he is not dumb or arrogant enough because he does recognise YZ has talents and Song is useless most of the time

Not just that since fighting for others involved help and support from others but she is also smart and talented in her area too. She has good knowledge on agriculture and gourmet . She has ideas like buffet which all appreciated ! And I also understand her wanting to go home too. Only time I complained is when she seemed to be ok leaving YZ for Hao but there too she was more of discussing with him than taking a decision on her own !

If you have watched Twenty five twenty one it’s exactly like that (If you haven’t don’t watch.) At least this drama we know it’s gonna be happy ending !

Agree. They met as if two exes who have moved on from each other . somehow I felt reallly bad about their exchange . There should have been hurt and regret oozing between the two

Haha I thought I am the only one who don’t like that because most reviews I have read enjoy it. I do love good supper roles or characters around leads and their story revolving around leads but not full fledged stories if they don’t have anything to do with leads !

Agree on this . I have been defending FL wanting to go home because of her own happiness and freedom and her family’s love but I don’t like it if she does it for someone else leaving ML in the process

Yep I love both ML sand FL the way they are. ML being ambitious but not cold . He was soft and his servants know him that way since beginning not overnight change after FL came . FL being smart not cute dumb lady . My only complain till now was that too much focus on friendship but not on ML FL relationship growth
