There's nothing wrong with TeeTee's acting, the director told him to act like Duang from the novel, and he does that very well. It's the character that annoys me, not the actor.

Duang is super cute, but his lack of dignity is slightly off-putting. I'm glad I know this is a romance BL and that Qin must be into him on some level, because in real life I'd be urging Qin to tell Duang plainly that he's not interested - that level of interest paired with that level of seeming disinterest is uncomfortable to watch.

No one is trashing the actors here, just saying the character as written is a bit absurd. Not the actor's fault, he's just doing his job & doing it well, full overeager puppy mode; it's cute in many ways, but definitely cringe at some points.

You are literally wrong. There are people who don't realize they are bisexual until they are adults, married with children.

There are people who go to single-sex schools and don't get to know people of the opposite sex outside of their family until college; they assume that their feelings for the opposite sex will 'kick in' at that time, but when that feeling NEVER kicks in, and they re-confront all of their close friendships growing up & realize they were gay all along.

You're allowed to not LIKE an on-screen portrayal of a fictional relationship, but trying to erase the lived experience of people who have a sexual awakening post-puberty is just crass & I sincerely hope no one here is foolish enough to be misled by you on this subject.

You can in fact live your whole life being bisexual and not know it until you meet the person of your dreams. Plenty of people write off their passing attraction to the same sex as admiration/aspiration. "Wow, his muscles are hot!" = "I wish I had muscles like that." in their mind, until they meet the guy who isn't just attractive, but they actually develop feelings for. You can be typically heterosexually attracted but demisexual in your homosexual attractions, and vice versa.

The whole 'you can't make a straight person gay/you can't make a gay person straight' argument is really just bisexual erasure. Doubly so in cultures where the parents are from a generation where comp-het is pushed so hard that their kids do not have the space, mentally and sometimes socially, to explore their attraction, under the pressure of expectation/tradition.
