Both FL and ML were awful.

I hated how they both treated each other.

Actually, the USA is rather a prime example of the lack of any sensible privacy laws. Still, China doesn't seem to be a country that cares about the freedom of speech so why should that be an obstacle? In my country you can publish a picture of a public person only when that person is doing some public activities. So you can publish an actor's picture taken during a movie premiere, but not when he/she goes to a restaurant with their family, and certainly not ones that were taken illegally. I guess the law is similar in the rest of the EU. My point is, if the law is lacking, because it blames a victim instead of protecting them, it should be improved. And fans should be supporting the actors in improving the law rather than using it against them.

Isn't that blaming the victim?

But where is the scandal here? Are we going to be informed every time an actor goes to bed? The only thing wrong here is that someone published his private pictures. I think the person should be punished. Don't they have privacy laws in China?

Liang Jie has great chemistry with everyone.

Qin Shi is the first to fall for Yang Hua. At some point he confesses to her about his past and asks if she doesn't mind to be liked by such an inadequate person, and she tells him that he can't speak like that about her husband because she must protect her love, and also adds that when he was at his lowest it was exactly the time she had a crush on him and that's why she followed his Weibo.

Then she first kisses him and approaches for the contract marriage.

Then they have a period when they feel mutual attraction but are afraid to act on it as it'd be against their arrangement.

Then comes the wedding and their wedding kiss. Yang Hua hesitates because he doesn't know if he may kiss her, and she pulls him to herself and kisses him first. It results in a very long kiss because they both wanted it for so long. Then they spend the night together.

Next day Yang Hua, encouraged by their intimacy, proposes dating, and she wants to make sure that he really likes her. That's when he says he likes her and they kiss.

The next night together is initiated by her. And there are many scenes when she tells him that she likes him or shows him her affection.

I don't think Yang Hua was so shy and inexperienced. It's clear he had sex with Yao Yao, and he had no problem kissing Yao Yao on their first date. He also two timed Yao Yao and Qiu's daughter. Not such a good boy. ;)

There were definitely more interactions between Yang Hua and Yao Yao than what we're shown. Unlike with TJH where we see his every interaction with QS.

Agreed, Yang Hua didn't meet YY before that scene in court, and their next meeting was at the bookstore. But, the next time they saw each other was at her apartment, so he already took her phone number and address to go there (while QS had no idea where TJH lived). Also, we don't see the entire scene at her apartment when he was giving her the money. How much time he spent there? What they were talking about? How he convinced her to take the money? What was said about the kid? We haven't seen that very important interaction but we know it took place because when YH comes out after QS leaves the energy between him and YY is much different than before. Before they were timid and anxious and hardly could talk to each other (when not talking about the case), and here suddenly they're chatting merrily.

But there was more... Up to that point YH was helping in the case by contacting Li Dai, but when he overhears QS and YY he knows QS objects to his help for YY, so from that point he does it secretly. It must be YY who informs him about the case, esp. that his investigator joins only later. How do I know it? Because Li Dai is as surprised as QS when she learns that YH is still helping and that he hired the investigator and that's already some time after QS quit her job.

Furthermore, when YH was leaving YY's apartment she still thought YH and QS were a normal married couple. But then in the bar she says she knows they are already divorced. So there must have been that encounter when he confessed to her and when they made all that plan.

Oh, and when YH meets YY's son they act like strangers, but at the airport YH walks with Sunny keeping his hand. There must have been a time when YH and YY's son bonded.

So well, the ending is rushed. And as much as we see all QS and THJ interactions in detail (and there really weren't as many as you seem to think) the time in the drama is condensed in the last episodes. Weeks go by without us seeing what's going on in the meantime. So we don't see all those interactions but we see the evidence that they happened.

Yao Yao wasn't out of job when he gave her the money. She went through several different cases in the drama, mostly because she was proud and stubborn and didn't want to accept the settlement, which was pretty good for her. She had a 10 year contract so the hotel couldn't fire her, but they wanted to make her the Head of the Training Program and she didn't agree because she saw that as demotion. So she filed another lawsuit, and the hotel agreed to her quitting the job under conditions (2 million fee or staying away from hospitality industry) but she was still a paid worker at that point.

And btw how her situation was worse from QS's? QS was demoted from a key position to an assistant and no one cares, no one fights for her. Certainly not YH.

Yao Yao's finances were better than QS's. Yao Yao had no problem collecting a million, but QS didn't have 500 thousand to pay for the partnership. Yet, QS loses her job and then must keep her private practice for more than 7 months, and we don't see YH giving her any money. He simply disappears on her.

Yao Yao returns the money. So what? I don't care about the actions of YH and TJH because they're a third party. They can do whatever they want. They have no obligations towards YH and QS. YH and QS are a couple. Even if they're on a break, they should stay loyal to each other if they ever wish to be together again. They shouldn't keep secrets with their exes behind the back of their partner. And YH knows it very well, doesn't he? That's why he wants YY to keep the money secret, because he doesn't want QS to know about his disloyalty.

You keep saying that YH was dumb and didn't know any better, but throughout the drama we see that YH is very perceptive and can read people very well, and here he doesn't care that his ex keeps badmouthing his woman and plots with her behind her back. Can you show me a scene when QS would complain about YH to TJH? That's loyalty 020, no?

YH told her that Wang will use dirty tricks to get to her, and she told him she'll take revenge on Wang for him. That's why YH had no problem with the picture. He knew that there was nothing to be jealous about. At that point he was more concerned about that person who was spying on QS and sent him the pic. Moreover, she did tell him everything in detail the next day.

Yes, YH told QS she could divorce him and go to TJH, and she told him she didn't want to. And after that they still had many talks when she assured him of her affection and that their relationship was solid and how important he was to her. That's why it was so out of the blue when he proposed the divorce, as if all those talks and interactions earlier haven't taken place. Clearly, she was taken aback because she was sure they had a great relationship and suddenly he wanted an out.

QS haven't seen TJH since their breakup too, and she made it clear, many times that she had no feelings for him. YH still had unresolved feelings for Yao Yao. We see that throughout the drama when he's talking to his friend. Their first meeting was very emotional, and their second, with YY's son, even more so. They're stunned and breathless. Their eyes are glued. Only when YY learns that YH is married to QS she tries to adapt a lighter tone while talking to him. The awkwardness between them is exactly proof of their lingering feeling.

Also, YY and YH didn't have a clean breakup. She felt hurt by him, he still couldn't forget her. YH says repeatedly, both to QS and to his friend, that he's not free to decide about going back to YY because he's married. So when YH proposes the divorce it wasn't just to let QS choose TJH (even though she doesn't want it), but it is first of all because YH wants to test his own feelings for YY and QS. Cai says that YH is always hesitant about relationships, and YH doesn't seem to know the answer before the end of ep 39.

That's why QS's situation is so much worse. She knows what the divorce was about and she knows that he still has feelings for YY, and probably a son with her. And then he abandons her totally. Last time they talked he didn't explain to her anything about YY or her son, he only said he's happy that he divorced her because that saves him problems. That's why she cries all night and on the next day goes to Yao Yao to fight for her husband (which YH knows). On the other hand, YH got a clear answer about QS's feelings in ep 38, and then again in ep 40. That's why he has no problem moving into an apartment next to hers. All the time he knew that she loved him and waited for him. But all the info she had was that he moved with his ex to Australia.

But now, tell me this. After YH overhears the conversations between QS and YY, and what QS does there is actually the greatest evidence of love she could ever give him. Because in her life there was nothing more important than career, and here she made it clear she put her career on the line in exchange for a chance to be with YH. And, on top of that, YH knows that YY told QS that the kid is his. And he already knew how jealous she was because of YY, and how much the breakup was costing her. Why doesn't he do anything? Why doesn't he return to her? Why doesn't he talk to her about the kid? Why is he hurting her even more? Why is he abandoning her for weeks and then for months, and in the end he doesn't even apologise? The only time after that they see each other is in the bar and he doesn't even ask her how she feels. Why is he so cold to her after she gave him a proof of love?

Can you show me, when exactly the FL went out of her way to have a bizarre relationship with her ex while she was dating the ML?

Their relationship was established very clearly when they agreed to become boyfriend and girlfriend.

Actually, what ML does with his ex is much worse than what FL does with her ex. I don't care about what the exes did, only what the ML and FL who are in a relationship did.

35 episodes? FL and TJH work in one company for only 20 episodes, and in most of them they have little to none interactions. Also, QS never meets TJH outside of work, and never shows any affection towards him. She also makes it very clear, on numerous occasions, that she's not interested in TJH and only wants to be with YH.

Actually, I think the problem is that people who claim QS was at fault ignore what happened in those 35 episodes and only remember one scene from ep 36. Because even if you look at ep 36 in full you'd see that just before the divorce talk QS learns about YY's son that is probably YH's and YH never gives a clear answer about his feelings for YY. And then uses a drunken confession by her ex as an excuse to divorce her, saying it'll give them a chance to return to their exes. He didn't even helped her when she fought against TJH. He just stood there allowing TJH to harass her.

That wasn't her only answer. She also said, in the same conversation, that she would never go back to TJH and that she wanted to stay with YH, and begged him not to divorce her. Her saying she wouldn't cheat on him because she's already married was only paraphrasing what he said to her about YY. It was YH who was using the marriage as a shield every time he was asked if he wanted to return to YY.

How he didn't know what she feels if she told him so many times and begged him not to divorce her? How he didn't know what she feels after he heard all the conversation between her and YY when QS made it clear she loved him and didn't want to give him to anyone?

Why it had to be the airport? She chased after him the day before, and yet he left her standing in the rain, and only asked her brothers to find her.

Have you ever took your work seriously? It was very hard for her to find job in Chen & Hui, which gave her at least some opportunities in her career. In her previous company, New World, she could never advance above assistant. It's very difficult for a woman to make a professional career.

And really, women hit on YH all the time. Why don't you want him to quit? Or best stay at home not to provoke them? Even YH never made such a stupid suggestion. And what about all the women in the hotel? They should never go to work because they might have been sexually harassed? What makes you think that if QS quit and went to work somewhere else TJH wouldn't follow her, or some other guy wouldn't hit on her?

No, QS doesn't use her ex's feelings to get cases. Once she learns about his feelings she repeatedly refuses his help with her cases.

YH knows what QS feels for him too. She told him she liked him on many occasions. She showed him lots of affection and many of their romantic interactions were initiated by her. Other than drunken poems it's absolutely not true that YH made more effort to communicate his feelings than she did.

YH wasn't clear to QS or even himself about his feelings towards YY and QS until the very end.

QS loved his all along. The divorce and separation didn't change her feelings one bit.

The wrestling was at the very beginning when they weren't yet really married and definitely not in a relationship. I don't know where you're from. Perhaps from a country where any physical contact between man and woman is wrong, even in sports. I seriously can't see anything wrong with wrestling. I wouldn't care one bit if my man wrestled with another woman. That's just sport.

Still, at that point they're not in a relationship. They are only held by a contract that says they're free to love anybody and do whatever they want. And ML doesn't even see the wrestling so how could he be jealous about it?

And really, from ep. 1? QS and TJH haven't even met in the first episodes. And they work together only for 20 out of 40 episodes, and in most of them they have little to none interactions. There are just a couple of episodes where TJH crosses the line, and every time QS makes it clear she's not interested in him.

What would you do if a drunken man confessed to you on the street? Call the police?

You're hanging on just one sentence out of the entire drama. QS told YH she liked him on more than one occasion. And even during the divorce talk she assured him she'd never want to go back to TJH, marriage or not. When she said she wouldn't get back to TJH because she was already married so it'd be an affair, she paraphrased YH's explanation about YY. And she made it clear that she says it because that's what he's been telling her about YY. And yet you take QS's words out of context, but ignore the many times YH couldn't decide between the two.

No, it's not YH's knowledge that he's tying QS by marriage. At this point he's just projecting his own internal conflict about QS and YY on QS. Note that QS was very clear on her choice all the time, both to him and to others, including herself. It was YH who couldn't give the answer anywhere from ep. 31 up till the very end.

QS is not overthinking anything. It's clear that there are many unresolved feelings between YH and YY. It's enough to look at them when they meet for the first time, and then when YH sees her with her (their) son. And whenever QS asks for clarification he says he doesn't know whom he'd choose because he's not free to make that decision. He says that not only to his wife but to his friend too. And yes, even at the end, after he overheard the conversation of his wife and his ex in ep. 38, and when he played that trick in ep. 40 pretending he left her for YY, he still pretends she just misunderstood. That's really awful!

Unfortunately, YH never made it clear whom he'd choose between Qin Shi and Yao Yao, even though she asked him many many times. And even after he had left the bar with YY, and pretended to have left the country with her, he pretended that QS just misunderstood. QS, on the contrary, made it clear many times that she had no intentions going back to TJH, marriage or not.

YH knew the problem very well, because he himself said that he was jealous not even about her interactions with TJH but about her memories with TJH from the past. Also, even if he were totally dumb and couldn't add 2 to 2, he heard her conversation with Yao Yao in ep 38, where Yao Yao hinted that Sunny is his son, and Qin Shi said that no matter whose the child was she wanted YY to leave YH alone because he was hers. He knew how hurt she was, even YY asked why he didn't tell his wife anything.

How, even after that, he could not explain anything?

YH makes many mistakes. And eps. in the last 10 episodes there are plenty. While QS had no unfinished business with TJH. It was TJH who had unfinished business, not her. QS took every opportunity to tell YH that she had no feelings for TJH.

Yes, I think the real reason why YH divorced QS, was not because she needed to figure out his feelings for TJH, but because he wanted to be free to figure out his feelings for YY. He said it many times before the divorce to both QS and his friend, that he didn't know whom he'd choose because he didn't have freedom to make that decision.

"I don't think he has ever reassured her that Yao Yao was out of the picture." --- Only in the last minutes of the last episode, which is why it seemed so weird that she decided to hug him and kiss him without getting the answer. Esp. knowing how hurt and jealous she was before. Suddenly she acted like it all didn't matter.

Also, I skimmed some of the middle episodes. There is a scene where Qin Shi tells Yang Hua that she likes him. Actually he asks her why she likes him and she answers him in detail and they spend the night together. So it's really not like the relationship was one sided.

Yang Hua told her his history with Wang and she told him she'd see if she could help. He knew she wouldn't fall for Wang. Moreover, when Wang first blackmails her YH is nervous about giving his testimony in court so it's not a good time to add to his problems. And on the next day Wu Fei already sends that picture and later Tang and Jin tell QS about the secret plot against Wang. So when she meets YH again it's too late to tell him. On top of that, on that very day she learns about Yao Yao from Wang, and then Li Dai tells her that YH met Yao Yao. She asks YH about YY, and when he lies she gets mad and goes to bed.

And to be sure, there's a difference between being intimate with other men and being hit on by other men, and both YH and Cai discuss it on the next day. So YH knows very well she's not cheating on him.

Qin Shi too didn't see TJH for a very long time and yet YH was jealous, so it doesn't make sense that he wouldn't understand it. And no, he didn't explain to her it was all in the past. At that point he pretended she was but his classmate. The other time, when he was cornered, he said it was in a parallel world, so he couldn't say what the other him would choose. Basically he said that since he was with her now he couldn't be with YY, but if the situation was different he didn't know what he'd choose.

And later, when QS gave him the same answer about TJH he asked for divorce so she could choose freely. While at the same time he seemed very indecisive about whom to choose for himself.

He did know very well why QS was angry about YY, that's why he was evasive because he was afraid to tell her everything. But later, even when he knew how jealous QS was of YY and that she suspected YY's son was his, he still didn't do anything to explain. Even if his relationship experience was limited, he wasn't that stupid.

How the feelings of a man unrelated to them were a threat to his marriage? What should matter was that QS didn't have any feelings for TJH and not TJH's feelings. People cannot be held responsible for what other people feel for them.

QS's relationship with TJH was strictly professional. She didn't keep in touch with him privately. Her help to him (other than with work) was just a common courtesy. On the other hand YH's relationship with Yao Yao was strictly personal. He helped her because he cared for her, and he really went out of his way to do that giving her both huge amount of money and lots of time and effort, and she had a son that might be his. He was spending time with her in private, even going to her apartment, and for a long time he couldn't decide which of them he'd choose. TJH never had so much of QS's care and attention.
