Right?! I'm so happy to see Bai Shuo (Bai Lu) and Bai Xi (Dai Luwa) alive in this alternate universe! Let's hope they both survive or I'm going to need them in another project together again! Regardless, I welcome these special appearances from Bai Lu's previous co-stars. Bai Lu is such a good friend and it's clearly visible through their willingness to appear (despite their now elevated status to lead roles) and also from the seat buying/promotional posts in support of the drama premiere ❤️‍🩹 Fun fact that Ao Ruipeng and Chang Huasen bought 1300 and 1600 seats to support Unveil: Jadewind 🤗

In today's episode 27, we get to see more into why the emperor favors Peiyi. Honestly, I am still confused on whether the emperor is her uncle or her cousin, but regardless, they're both royal by blood. He favors Peiyi out of guilt, not out of compassion. There's more to discover regarding Prince Duan (Peiyi's father) family massacre. The emperor knows something, but not all of what happened. That's why he tries to protect her.

I mean... it's been pretty much hinted in the drama. Once I saw the guy playing the Right Chancellor, I knew he would have an important role to play. Consort Shu gives off eery vibes too. I don't understand why she would be taking care of Li Peiyi unless she has a hidden agenda. The consort's association with that evil noble girl who tricked the 15th princess didn't sit right with me.

She'll probably play a larger role in a later case that hasn't been shown yet

The two families are really ill-fated so far. To add onto the mess, the daughter-in-law of the Gong family runs away with the son-in-law of the Yang family. She stole the apartment deposit too. I feel bad for Gong Jua's uncle. He seems like a nice guy!
