hey, i get what you mean, but there’s no need to be rude or disrespectful. at the end of the day, it’s fiction, and none of it is real. dark romance is a genre that can be done well, and in POJ, i don’t think their relationship was romanticised by the show at all. the story ended the way it did for a reason, and by that, i mean he literally died in the end.

did you even watch the show or understand my comment before responding? because it honestly feels like you misunderstood what i was trying to say.

i see, yes!! i’ve watched POJ, and ngl, they had SO MUCH CHEMISTRY in that. i loved them 🫶🏻 and i really liked how the writer didn’t force a sweet, happy ending for their story just for the sake of it. things went in a different direction, and honestly, i think that was the best possible outcome for them, given everything that happened.

and well, i think i can handle dark themes, so i’ll probably be fine here too haha. tysm!!

can a cdrama really be THIS dark?? that’s actually something new because most of the time, characters are toned down quite a bit. i don’t really have a problem with dark themes as long as they’re done well and we can understand WHY certain characters behave the way they do or what made them who they are. i hate it when characters are just evil for the sake of being evil with absolutely no depth or reasoning behind their actions lol.

my exams are finally over and i have a 15-day semester break now, so i was thinking of bed-rotting and enjoying myself to the fullest with good dramas and food 😭🩷 like, we all deserve this after those soul-crushing, mind-numbing, hectic exam weeks lmaooo.

honestly, after VOS, this is the second drama that has me this captivated and invested this year and the coincidence is that Yan An is in BOTH of them haha

no idea about that yet, but i’m guessing jundai isn’t actually her daughter with her husband, because otherwise, why would she hide her like that? 😭 and surely she wouldn’t have married a commoner who couldn’t give her daughter the status she wanted, so my theory is that she had jundai with someone outside her marriage 👀 i could be completely wrong, but that’s what i think for now lol.
