just finished watching it — an absolute 10/10 drama for me. I’m left feeling completely empty now
my head hurts. i was honestly doing fine until episode 35. even with the earlier deaths, i was holding it together. but the moment they started showing the flashbacks, i just couldn't handle it anymore. da qiao’s death really hit me. i did feel bad for her, but more than that, i found it so powerful. she chose not to let her husband be used or controlled by anyone, and that takes a lot of courage. i actually found her really brave for that decision. it wasn’t just sad—it was meaningful.
and wei liang... i don’t even know where to start. when the four of them visited his grave, i already felt broken. but that final moment—when xiao tao saw his image, standing there, waving with that orchid vase in his hand—it completely shattered me. my tears just wouldn’t stop rolling. it felt like he never really left them. that scene just . . . TT
i never expected to get so emotionally attached to characters outside the main leads, but i did. they all mattered. they all left a mark. the only bit of comfort i have is that at least manman and wei shao got their happy ending. and fei fei—ugh, she’s just the cutest thing ever. she brings a little light to the heaviness.
finally saw what I was waiting for in episode 29, and it didn’t disappoint. Now, I’ll wait patiently for the subtitles to be fixed so I can fully soak it in 🤭 🤍
Ep 9’s ending — the dream part, really has my heart. They clearly care about each other, but they still have their own motives and aren’t ready to give up that easily. I actually love that, because in most dramas, when someone starts catching feelings, they usually forget or start hesitating to go after what they originally wanted. But here, no matter what, they still stand by their goals
Wow, this novel’s basically overflowing with steamy +18 content about their intimate moments...Okay, did anyone…
Someone mentioned that there won’t be any kissing scenes in the drama, since the male lead said so during his live… I guess I’ll read the novel to fill that void instead now lol 🤭
