to be honest, if I put aside his character of Wu Zi Shu, can we just talk about how cute Wu Jun Ting looks ?? like, sometimes when I see his relaxed face, I can’t help but go " aww " 😭💗

I understand how you feel. I try to see this as a standalone storyline unrelated to the novel. The way it played…
i totally agree. and a completely unrelated thing, but i’m honestly glad it was you who replied and had a similar view to mine. i do get scared to share my opinions sometimes, since ppl can start attacking or hating TT, so it means a lot when someone understands instead.

i feel the same. the novel actually progressed in such a good and detailed way that it gave every moment the right weight, while here in the drama it feels a bit rushed at times. i get that they’re trying to stay close to the outline and fit everything into the limited episodes, but in doing that some of the depth and buildup gets lost. still, i do appreciate that they’re making the effort to follow the original story, even if the execution doesn’t always hit as hard as the novel.

honestly, i know dramas and novels are different, and i’m really not trying to compare them as a whole. but…

honestly, i know dramas and novels are different, and i’m really not trying to compare them as a whole. but the way XJ found out the truth and the whole confrontation scene in the drama felt so underwhelming. XJ's reaction just didn’t hit the way it should have, he basically started screaming. i get his situation and how much the delay in reinforcement cost him, but he didn’t even let her explain, and on top of that, the fact that HY was actually poisoned, blinded, and killed was almost brushed aside. in the novel, i absolutely adored the confrontation because it carried so much weight and emotion. the drama’s version honestly left me disappointed.

true, even though I don’t like her mother that much either, her actions are still somewhat justifiable. She just doesn’t want to lose another daughter after the loss of the first one.

maybe she’s being way too strict with Qing Yue because of that, but she genuinely wants her to be okay. The only word suitable for her father, though, is 'spineless' — he has no thoughts of his own.

The pacing is not fast paced, rather the first few episode focused on the FL's plan and then they are showing…
maybe we understand pacing differently. For me, it’s not just about how fast or slow things are moving—it’s that I can’t really connect with the characters. They don’t seem to show much emotion, and everything feels a bit flat and underwhelming. So maybe the issue isn’t the pacing itself, but rather the way everything’s been executed it just doesn’t feel impactful

yeah lol it's all over the place and it gets worse in the later eps. you have a super climatic ep 11 followed…
help- wasn’t expecting that, but since I have nothing to watch right now, I’ll just go ahead and watch this. I’ve seen a lot of short dramas that are all over the place most of the time, so hopefully, it won’t be too hard for me to follow lol

Hmm… I’m not sure how to feel about this drama. I’m currently on episode 9, and something just feels off. Maybe it’s the execution of the story, or maybe it's the pacing—it feels quite fast and disjointed. Everything seems to be jumping from one point to another without much sense or proper flow. Still, I’ll continue watching to see if it gets better.
