Yes. There are two volumes. The first one is adapted into the drama (it has some more explicit scenes that were not in drama), I recommend it. The art style is prettyyyyy. The sequel called PUNKS TRIANGLE: stitch is out in Japanese language. The English translation will be out on Aug 2026 by Seven Seas. ππ
Fujibayashi has beautiful eyes. The most disappointing part of this series was the lack of music. Punk wasn't…
This series is a fashion-focused drama, so it makes sense that the spotlight is mainly on the visual side rather than the music. Even Chiaki had to admit, he's only about punk fashion.
Of course, punk originally grew from music, but over the decades, especially in Japan, punk has evolved into many different forms. It's blended with fashion, idol culture, indie influences, and more, so the aesthetic has become a major part of how people interpret punk today. In that sense, the drama is highlighting just one branch of what punk has become.
But I really appreciate that the composer also made some both nice funky BGM and heavy metal BGM for it. Some of them are pretty lit and people have been trying to shazam them.
is in the manga stated how old are Chiaki and EA? im courious as the age gap is not really there when Chiaki is…
AE's age is never stated. In sequel, it's written that his first stage appearance is 17 and when Chiaki saw him on stage for the first time was when he just came back to Japan and still not so famous, so a rough guess is that he could be around 18~19 then. Also the fact that they are in the same class, and the manga doesn't have an age gap tag also contribute to this guess. So their age gap is actually not significant, I would guess they have 1-2 years gap. I think AE looks more mature because he seems to play a lot at night and that side of him is larger than life, while as Enaga, he's more life-size.
The series ended on such a sweet note, with Chiaki finally enjoying his blissful moment of having Enaga Ayumu as his boyfriend. I really believe everything happens for a reason. He confesses in AE's visual, yet it was still the same clumsy Enaga, who can't tie shoelaces, because Enaga Ayumu isn't one side or the other, but the combination of both. It never felt like he was Enaga wearing AE's mask, at least from my interpretation. And Chiaki loves both versions of them not just his friend Enaga.
It truly was a wonderful journey across eight episodes. Still, there's hope for a season 2, and both actors seem to want it too. We can see more of lovey dovey moments if there's season 2.

That's true. The only thing people know is "AE", read as "Ai", a punk model. From PUNKS TRIANGLE stitch, his first stage is in London, under the name AE, so his name or age or anything is never published at all βΊοΈ The stage where Chiaki saw AE was when he just came back to Japan.
It's just a Japanese culture thing, where people in general respect privacy.
To be such a fan of someone and not know their real name is crazy though.
It's a Japanese thing. Artists usually want to separate life and work so they can live a normal life outside of work. A lot of them go under a stage name which can be changed later and if they don't actually share on their own, you'll never know whether it's their real name or not. Some artists even hide their face and body too.
For Chiaki, he doesn't know AE real name or anything bc AE is also another case of Japanese artists who separate life and work, so he can go to school like an ordinary person. Chiaki doesn't remember Enaga's first name is Ayumu bc at first he doesn't care about anything other than AE and second, Japanese people have a culture of addressing a person by last name for formality. Only verrrrry close friends or lovers or family use first name.
ahh help does anyone know the song that played at the end of ep 7?ππΌ
It's a mystery of century. everyone's looking for it since ep 1 and atp I think it's the original music made for the drama by the music composer's team bc it's nowhere to be found.
Just wondering if we are getting the uncut version. Post on the official Punks Triangle Instagram page today says…
It's wrong auto-translation of IG. The uncut version is on FOD (25:00-ish/ ep). Tver is the broadcast version (23:00-ish/ ep). If you watch on GagaOOLala, it's the same as FOD - uncut version. The differences between two versions are minimal and do not affect the story, like the Enaga hats spin off is only on uncut version.
Haha, finally someone is talking about the white shirt AE suddenly was able to wear after it was soaking wet just…
You're right, AE's not specifically mentioned in manga either. We only know that Chiaki is now 21, he met AE when he was 18. AE said that it's when he's still not very much famous and he was scouted in high school. So probably the age gap isn't that big, roughly 1- 2 years. I have the second volume and it only mentioned that when Chiaki met AE he's just returned to Japan, also nothing about age. But one thing for sure, their age gap isn't very big bc the manga doesn't have age gap tag and they are in the same class.
And you're most welcome.

like how can that even be possible?
