I rewatched the end of ep18 right around when he confessed to figure out what was going on with the walking backwards quick clip. I then saw the tears going back up on both their faces. I couldn’t see the detail originally bc I was watching on my phone. I rewatched on my big tv and omg! saw that detail. love this show. anyone else notice it?!

part of xifan’s growth is to trust Dr He and realize he’s the EXACT opposite of her ex. she’s not being selfish, wanting to go to grad school and better herself. she also
has to take that leap of faith and actually talk to him about her stuff. So we’ll see how she handles it…and I’m here for it!

I noticed this too and it kinda reminded me of how Bart Simpson calls his dad Homer. but Homer hates it and Bart just does it to annoy his dad. I think she’s an adult now so she just says it in a joking, fun kind of way. I love the dynamic she has with her parents. They are funny.

there hasn’t been an actress yet who played his first love. just a reference to her. we’ll see if she makes an appearance.
