Um...I see. It seems to me that there's something or actions or motives that really turn you off from Jing while it may sense to others. Because the guy is no way bad. If Jing is problematic then the other two are quite problematic as well in every sense. You can see reasons why if you use realistic logic But this is a movie show. We have to
see overall arc. That's why it seems I am defending the character because I thouroughly enjoy the story as a whole. I don't know the books you mentioned. So I can't compare. It doesn't really matter. But the fact is people seems to make so much fuss about his giving into XY and also about Ffyy issues. I can't much accept about third party but i don't really feel bad here as the story for some reason.(not gonna mention because it's already long). I have to consider too that was this arc in story really weak as said or commentors are just throwing tantrums because it doesn't go the way they want. But yep there's also another group who also this character and character. People are just not the same. (Even if I am writing this long, it is not to change what you prefer but people are differen. Life experience and ideals are different). As for Jing, if you think that I am making him sound like Mr Perfect would be
really wrong. I have to admit I prefer family/domestic guy who doesn't challenge me with emotional tension that what Jing has. But thats my ideal not others. If others want a more challanging(exciting) or life partner isWhat I am saying is if one think he is weak based on most of his motives, is it
because we are expecting him to do things that we think a ML should do
or is he really weak as a character or even as an indivitual that's including his call out for 15 years of
chance too. At that time
she's still WXL. It'd been easier. But she became princess later, things got more messed up. How should he dealt with his family. .to not to labled "weak"? Just get rid of Hou? Or is he really weak that he found out about Hou and Ffyy later? Or is he weak that he got into his grandma trap? And get all these insecurity that he can't even face XY. I don't know. I will just "weak" is just a term. But for me I'd rather call it "flaws". This is still melodrama and some scenes maybe exaggerated. But Jing's flaws in such family matters, the way he was brought up, dilemma, insecurities, don't_know_what_to_do are situations, and his desires for life are something some average people can
relate to
fall into real life too.
Thats he is
my favourite character from the
story. I dont have anything against the other two ml, but I have seen these kinds of traits ml in many stories before. So TSJ character for me refreshing. I have hardly seen this type of character on in fiction with such a way and in such a role before. So yep.

I actually adore Zhu Yan in overall feel.

Its ok watch for me...but initially it may go a bit slow and get better and better later. But for me it's soothing slow burn which I love..I went into the story with ease. I love all the beautiful soothing CGIs. And Xiao Zhan is gorgeous in every scenes. And I love his character. Ren Min is cute too. I personally have no problem with her and her character. I love the whole casting. It is bravo. But the thing is, this theory about "she is bad luck for him, and fated to kill him because she's the only one to cried and pray for him at his fake death" prophecy thingy is problematic to me. I don't understand at all why fate wants her to.kill him because of her good feelings yet misunderstanding. Therefore it loses scores from me. And I also think Shi Ying suffered too much. Love story here is more of soothing type not really firery. But there's romance has three couples. It's overall a good solid drama still although I have some disappointments maybe it's for me only. The production I need to say is very excellent. ..

Mr Xuan/CX : He's creating/conquering the world for you. I mean he's taking all the responsibility and managing everything (family business and even household matters) in his and your life in logic way that sometimes it seems he misses to consider your emotions . But he will still do the best for your living with strategies. Although he may not be so romantic, once he set his eyes on you, he won't open heart for other women even when he's surrounded by beautiful women.
Fang Feng Bei/XL: The type of guy that can swept your feet. He likes to keep accompany with beautiful ladies but especially you. You may not guess what he's up to next but that's what draw you in. Yet don't look down on his heart, once you conquer his heart, he will becoming your guardian angel, will do anything to protect you and make you happy.
Ye Shiqi/TSJ: A comfort home maker, someone who will make you feel you are being spoiled and you can look at him with pouty face. He don't want to disappoint you in anything that he will give you all what he has. But don't take him as doormat because his vulnerable side is only for you. He could as a good strategic type if he had to although he may fail to his gentle emotions sometimes and that's why he needs your emotional support . He may seem slow in doing things because he is considering a lot. And with his righteous nature, he will be able to survive in life tests with you at end.

Well I really need to reread i guess. But yep the only time i actually think she'd go off with him actually is still while TSJ was married. .because at other times she considered more about their opposite
side even if her feelings had been good.

I sort of understand why some people already putting the character like Jing to that category. I think I still can't help poking in. Well it's just like some people in real life see soft spoken people as weak and take acting
bold person as strong although it can be another way around. That's the thing to think, is Jing really supposed to be that weak and if so why YaoJing story arc is built from the start. As of some comments that may said she's been with Jing at end because XL doesn't choose her. Really ? Do people can't feel YaoJing as romance because do they really lack romance or people more into and used to romance that is presented in other story and stick with it and when it goes different route here, they can't accept it? Was the other two males These are things to consider here? And again about this his whole dilemma about family and ffyy issue is about growth character
both TSJ and XY. I will wait to see how they play that out on screen

I am not saying her feelings for Jing were stronger than that she had for XL at the time. But her conscious side would not allow it. Her feelings for both guys are not stronger than the one she has for CX neither. If it is described as romance love..it is difficult kind of romance she has for two guys. If you paid attention YaoJing bond develop slow, although it starts with her having some sort of attraction yet want to avoid him because he might leave her one day yet she still had hopes in him and him
initial devoted to her because of she saved
his life and soul. Her love for Jing grow by time. At the end, I think the bond got stronger in which she's sort of letting him know the devastated feeling she had for XL's death. As for YaoLiu (this is only my take),XY feelings are not obviously shown on screen but in novel I got it more. But XL definetly have eyes for her. It comes with this theory, XL represents XY's fear yet her growth as a person. He aided her to be strong sometimes by bringing the hell out of her in which they got to bond (different one with Jing). In here (in other love stories and in real live), this relationship can grow into romance life partner. But in here with certain situations, both sides maturely rejected it. But the bond is still there, he will still play important role in XY's heart. Again I think it's different one from her feels for Jing which is why I don't actually feel bad. If you ask me, she loves both guys. But really for me she blushes around Jing more. More male_female feel. But XL is no less important to her. I don't know how to put it in
words . And yep she enjoys FFB's company.
As for what she said to
the yellow
emperor, I
doubt about how much seriousness is there. I think I follow my instincts. At the time when she spoke, she has much pessimistic about TSJ(she made promise to YSQ), and also FFB was accompaning her. I don't think she is serious about both
guys at the time although she had more hope for Jing. And why I said I think she will accept XL after her breakup with. Because at the time she sort of needs healing, wanting to cling onto XL/FFB, another man she had good feelings about even if she is not sure of herself why. Well, it's all my guts feeling from reading her actions.

That is...i guess you understand the situation well ...I am not going his family Issue much again but the reason he sort of chose that responsibility at the time and out of all insecurity in following XY around but can't face her directly ...he can't practically be away from her...The dilemma thing that
happen here is that he is pulling XY while he has this burden on his shoulders. I am not saying it is perfectly right. He is not flawless in dealing this matter. But he is considerate of his own feelings (truthful about it ;
giving himself a chance). The fact is he dealt the matter in quite gentle/considerate of family way which result
in his doomed hope. What I have meant be not
putting his responsibilty above XY is that if he is he wont make such 15 promise to WXL (He had no feel to live as TSJ forever). In fact, he had to deal with this family matters partly because of XY in which he is implying he's greedy. But it's his considerate
nature that make him doom there.
Yep people like to point jing's dying along with as his weakling side. But they forget to see other factors. The characters here are all flaws and merits for me. CX and XL handle situations in their ways and Jing has his own ways in handling situations. He did not use brute route for others and himself included which result not so good result sometimes. CX and XL handle situation with their intelligent and logic , but things still won't fully give
satisfying to feeling overall yet. This is what it is about. So I felt it a bit lame when I see comments like the other two are far better than one especially because he couldn't be brute.

hhehe I think you get me wrong. I am not denying any XYfeelings she may have for XL but that wasn't strong enough for her to consciously give in. That's why I say the word weird that you choose that scene to say she wants him when she is actually refusing. Jing could guess her feelings and that's why he refused her kiss. (insecurity). And in which chapter she asked her granddad "is he okay with her marrying enemy" ? is she considering it while she's well off with Jing. ?

Tong Hua is the lable indeed. 😅 While I think I happen to be on the "right" ship from the beginning to the end (personally prefer that kind of relationship) , she still did not fail in heart wrenching me. She's the powerful one. Ehhehe but yep of course it's still made up story. Fans can take something from it the way they like.

He was not choosing responsibility over love by any definite means. Situation just got there. About 15 years promise. ..Um...oki 15 years may be long for human but they are gods. It depends on how you like it. He afriad want to lose her. At least he was taking chance for himself and her and not wait to see perfect time (just call for it when he still have chances). Freeing
himself before courting her is good. But it's CX who push XY while she's reluctant. She said she made
promise to YSQ.
Um about. ..the kind of "suicide". ..while I understand how u think. But whether you like it or not or whether it is right or wrong action, it still show he cant live without her at that crucial point.

Well definetly not choosing FFB as bf for sure (her feels are still conflicts dear)...and about XL shooing TSJ when his identity revealed
is not wanting to be XL but she's afraid she will get hurt by TSJ. She still have wanted test him when she went to him for help. She had this urge to rely on YSQ/TSJ. .XL is frenemy at that point. (There no valid reasons she will choose XL. .not consider being CX and her opposite side)

Well this passage is a bit wierdo because how could she choose to love him when she refused to kiss him and still holding on to Jing(she kissed Jing after that).

Well i will admit to you. .the only time I think XY may have chosen to be with XL/FFB is when she's heart broken from Jing. But then would she really. ..hmm thinking she wants to escape her mom tragedy hmm but i will wait for other answers😊
