Like you said XL give her one night to think. But the soldier confirmed already that WXL was just a folk in Quig Shui town as she said. Even if XL had good reason to suspect of her (being female and had strong poison etc, ),he still had no evidence if she really was a spy. With how Sheng Nong army is seen as the context said, I could not see the punishment or the deal as mercy. He is as viscous as he was well known for. He assured that to her by showing no mercy for what she asked (water or her conditions) if she did not agree to his deal. To me it felt more like he's showing the one to control is him.

She did have to say clearly Zhuan Xu is male lead but not lover and her lover is Tushan Jing. In our language , she was clarifying which character is in which role. And oh.....she did refer Jing as female lead's lover = she's his lover too. Because all normal viewers can understand it. The books had been out for a while, so why would she had to say who's role is who? As for the last two lines you just added up. There wasn't any talk on love line with CX and those two ladies. It is what I call "twisting".

It absolutely is NOT satisfying for some CX fans that he ended up unhappy with women he didn't love but as Emperor. No, it's not exactly tragic, though some still find it so, since he ends up with the goal he worked toward, but it certainly isn't satisfying.

Yes, it's my take based on what's in the book and drama.

Fans should understand why CX lost her forever. Throughout plot he hurt her the most overall. Some women might like such men who had no mercy for the women they claim to love, hurt her emotionally more than once purposely (don't compare with Jing because purpose is not the same). They only care about "let him selfish about XY" (The final is just the last big one. ) That's why he lost her in the end. Those fans just don't care XY's feeling but only their's fav feeling. Nevertheless, it's satisfying for us and for Tong Hua.

Yes I am exactly taking all from book and season 1 of drama which has english language for us.

About Koala english translation, although her being XL bias and is still fan translation, it looks more profession than other fanfic translating there. Yes Lost You Forever is majestic. It's one of my fav novel.

Well whatever...XY's feelings are conveyed well in novel for all three guys. Her feelings of wanting to belong together like husband & wife only refer to one guy.

Oki...I will take it as Voodoo King is really talking about lovers in love as XY understood.( Just like how I am taking the word "friend" )That is why he was perplexed when he realized it's not in Jing. But just like XY , I also don't believe everything Voodoo King said. Because he said if one hurt the other one will hurt. When XY got hurt XL will get hurt , but its not shown when XL is hurt would she get hurt ? But their lives are connected ...and emotions are connected but only XL could feel her emotion, she could not feel his. And yep she had planted in Xuan before and successfully made him feel hurt after he made her hands get tortured.
The lover bugs are tempermental. But it is fine with XY having loving romantic relationship with Jing (someone who is not holding the other in pair) and her intimate touch on him. The lover in here is not in love like the kind of love that wants to belong to just each other right. Therefore no jealousy happened and no tempermental from the bug.
According to Voodoo King, these bugs are mainly for healing and staying alive, therefore connecting life with another.
...But Voodoo Bugs and Poison come together in same manual as both are for poison purpose , ...as XY said

For me, bugs connection between XL and XY are both blessing(he was able protect her through it) and cursing (they were never supposed to spend the rest of their lives together) representing their relationship.

The other guiding heart is from Xiang Liu. And Xiao Yao knew it. "Another" and "other" referred to XL. He directly connect her through bug connection. If that connection was sad XY could feel it. The fireflies gives you romantic feeling but not Xiao Liu. Her feeling is "strange" , and she told XL directly that it's "bad". And I don't know why you would want to add that "no" there, because the bugs recognized each other as "friend". It's the context nothing could be changed. About being lovers bug....hmmmm that old man in drama said that if a couple does not love each other, there will be endless
trouble . We dont know how much of that is true because he did say it's legend and myth. And ohh....both XY and XL had troubles though. If its not then the bugs are fine with XY loving Jing .
And yep ..me not so much fond of XL, not telling the truth of bugs since he knew its lovers bugs, but not her. Anyway... with Jing ... XY doesn't need lover bugs to align their hearts together.
It's in context..nothing could be changed..

NO...You are going upside down here again dear. The one who watch or read the novel all knows if one is not bias. Especially this comment with wrong info clearly. He avoided Ah Nian because he don't want his identity
to be revealed. And there's no life threatening at Chaung Zi wedding. (Or else you did not watch the drama at all.) Its only threatening when XL arrived. WXL went with him her fear on XL lessen her heart ache at the thinking of Jing might leave her one day and so that XL would not cause trouble. It's Chaung Zi and Tian Er wedding . And ohhh...where did you get only CX and XL tried to rescue XY. Because if its not for Jing putting all his power into her before.. CX and XL probably would have no chance to help her to wake up again. It would not be easy for Jing to get both of them get out of the fire maze . I wont futher explain about other 2 assasinations. Because it's not yet happened in S1. I am amazed by
your wanting act stupidity to downgrade the character, who is main love interest here.
And ohhh... I wonder what will XL do if he only have 1 life too. After all he might probably need to save life to die alongside with his Sheng Nong soldiers battling with Xiyan(Xuan
Yuan). Which no outer world was caring about. Because Sheng Nong was lost to XuanYuan already .

My meaning is not exactly Jing is always there for her. Because the story has 3 mls. What I am meaning actually is for romantic lines and love interest being, Jing was there. It does not open ways for XL and XY. Even after he's married to FFYY. Because XL knew Jing and XY still have feelings for each other. Dont you think apart from their being on opposite side of political war, this is the reason why XL helped XY and Jing get together. It would not be right for him to interfare. He's bold in what's he been doing, bravely die in war alongside with his soldier who still hold on to their beliefs. By my word "always" I am meaning, throughout story, I dont get the feeling that Xy was in love with another man like she was to Jing, even if she was attracted to FFB. Jing is
the only love interest overall. Need to say this though I personally do not like the XL treat XY even if he's her guardian angel behind the scene. There's questionable about it for me. Because I still find his behaviors resemble to real life abusers., especially in early episodes. In real life we
could only judged by the actions. Because i never believe anyone will do what he do to someone they were in love with. But yep according to this story it CX who hurt XY the most both physical and mental. So he had to lose her in the end. As for Jing he has flaws. But his flaws to me are mostly that of a decent man. I like it that he's not all good perfect. His insecurity and longing lead him to make 15 years promise with her. Even with his calm and determination it would be really hard to actually cut ties in brutal way with the family. I do not find or weak but rather unfortunate in what his granny did.
All the 3 mls have different upbringing and it sort of affect their actions. CX and XL are not for XY. Because they wont lead the life she wants. But at the same time I think she got with Jing because she happen to fall for her right man in love subject . But her bond with the other two guys are also memorable too..

Yes I understand XL. I mean the way I see it is, all things are wrong since begining in the way their relationship started. (He is sort of abusive but his hurtings are not sounding ruthless as CX few vicous torture 😅) Although at times it felt like, its good for both of them because they are abused in childhood, with him WXL had no times to think of her current troubles, sound like that. Anyone can have their own opinions. As for romance, Umm I think it is like already late and circumstances are not supporting them to develop that way. And Jing was always there. (I think this is why those who ship XL dislike Jing. I could be wrong). So I think most of the time XL later acts righteous and support XY with Jing. And yep I think XL did not know how to express his love or how to recieve it. Circumstances are not right for him. Thats
probably why I think he acts all controlling and
rough with her. The way he acts secretive until the end sounds like he wanted severed all ties from this world and even from her memory. Well thats my
take on him so far. But my rereading is still going on so. I might find something more.

Yes I mostly prefer gentle and direct male leads. So I enjoy the love line here in LYF. But I also enjoy XL and CX characters. They are both well layered characters. But the thing is that the way I feel they are not born for XY in such a way. Both in drama and novel I still feel romance between Xy and Jing only. Because her feelings for other two men are not so romantic , although she had strong bond with the other two guys too. Its getting more clearer as I reread the novel in details. And yep I m patiently waiting for season 2 to come. I hope to see DW as villain too in new drama this year...So i could have a bipolar feeling.. 😜 it will be refreshing..I can go back and forth between two opposite vibes.

Deng Wei is talented. Definetly not losing to ZWY or TJC. For me at least. He delivered TSJ&YSQ perfectly. I know that people have different taste. However I also have a feeling some people just cannot differentiate between their unable to appreciate the character or the actor's acting, similar to what you said here. But LYF is really a good show.
