Yes I also find Jing character written for this purpose. The guy was just unfortunate. I will also add that with his intelligence, he understand so well that he could
not move on with having hatred in him, on what has happened in the past. And he stick to being himself despite life giving him all those scars.

Most of Xy intimate scenes are with Jing. So yep. It's just very obvious.I also have a feeling too that if there is no Jing, Tong Hua would not make her end up with anyone else, in the way the story is told. Many fans are confused about this love bugs connection between XY and XL. But the bug has been in CX's body too. I think the story author did not purpose put that bug in the her female lead choose with heart and mind. I personally take it as true love does not need such mythical connection which we are not clear 100%. Besides in the novel, when the bug was transfered, the bugs recognized each other as "friend" . So im not serious about it as romance connection despite what voodoo king said despite .

All the mls are actually good. I agree with you. All are fascinating characters. And that we should not compare real life with dramas. Although dramas reflects real life. Nevertheless, I am just amazed at how Jing fans are called defenders for the ml they loves to mock while they are defending ml with abusive attitudes, and making him into pure selfless one. For this comment not to get long. I will the way xy and mls act out depends on the way life had taken them. So i think it'd stupid to hate any of them completely. And yes I always love reading comments that are not biased. 💖

I meaning the case of wanting to know how powerful is Xuan in that scene. It's implied already her hatred is actually not much. That's why they came on good terms afterwards. But XL kept using his agressive nature on her. YES, I considered him "SADIST", in language, after 40 lashes, what's the need to step on her wounds and then clean blood stain on his shoes with her clothes. (Even if i do not consider him bad guy in overall.) That's scene + some other scenes showing, to me is "SADIST" . And about XY's planning to
assasinate her grandfather. NOPE. It's only random saying . she did't care about him because he was not the one who
look after her. The one she planning to assasinate was 5th prince, because that 5th prince was a thread to CX (Defensing beloved brother). If
you really watch the scene, you will see
she's aiming her arrow at
5th prince. She talk about it too afterwards in ep39. And
ohh...let me fill up the phrase about using

Everyone has different taste. Not to complain about it. But plot is plot. I would say XL is charming and daring heroic. But I prefer a calm man (but true to his heart) like Jing too..although he maybe slow
when it comes to family matters. The ending of season one is sad for XiaoJing couple. I am waiting for season two patiently.

.that kind of tension..shiver bliss. ..if any other man did like that to XY...its the same feels..at least i do not find long for it like she would to Jing's kisses.. its different from raw longing or raw shyness she feels when she has to touch/see Jing's crippled body full of scars in chapter one...its more revealed in chapter 8. Or longing for his hair like in chapter 1 which is revealed in chapter 14.

Chapter 14: they were on the boat..
Then she saw Jing stand up and release the band tying his hair up and sent his hair flying in the sea breeze. He leaned against the railing and looked up at the sunrise.
Xiao Yao’s heart leaped to her chest like a little deer lost.

Chapter 26

But every night she couldn’t control her missing him.
One time she dreamed about Jing kissing her and it was as sweet as dew in her dream, but when she woke it was only bitterness in her mouth, even drinking honey water it turned bitter.

Yes their kiss in chapter 20

And as for this bug...you are taking this speech from voodoo king in chapter 37.which is not confirmed how much truth is there..when in chapter 7 its already implied in text that....its friends'union..not lover....and she said she raised it to planted in XL to protect herself from himabd to control him but instead she had to plant led it in Xuan instead.

For my personal point of view, this number of 15 years is Jing buying time. I see it as his taking chance at time. It's actually binding him and her. Breaking off engagement is not easy task, although if you watch on you will see he directly say it out. However he's not flawless character. He handle things too calmly. I dont like to spoil for now. But yep. I personally understand his situation. But i dont find odd that some other viewers may has have questions on him. It's not perfect.
Edit: For 15 years binding , he's following his heart directly. Xiao Liu had been trying to stay away from him. He did not want to lose her. Because one can't tell what will happen tomorrow.
For me their personalities match because, he's gentand she's fierce. But deep down they are both very kind personal and not like holding any grudge. It is that of decent human vibe.

Umm....Im carefully reading the novel. The bond between Xiao Liu and Xiang Liu is started from fear and provoking her past trauma. Their relationship is mostly frenemy.. Thier bond is actually slower process than that of her and Jing. To be totally honest I never really think Xiao Yao is attracted to Xiang Liu in that kind of raw male
female attraction like she felt for Jing. But she never really hated Xiang Liu because that is not her nature. All her actions are for self defense that including raising voodoo bugs. Although later she was curious about him yet still fear. I mean do you see her expression is joy when he bite her neck or threw her from the above? For me its uncomfort. But later their bonds turn into healing although a few physical hurting still involved. As for Jing, I understand how you feel. But personally I dont find him as a coward because he's direct and straight forward.

When I read the novel. I think they have quite amount of good times together after their make up. Its only near end that they had to separated again. my fav is proposal scene under peach blossoms trees that jing had made illusion. but i love some other scenes too. i know s2 wont cover all.

I respect your opinion and also your take on how you may have wanted TSJ to be, and in my personal opinion its not what the creator had wanted to. There's a reason why he's titled as Xiao Yao's lover by Tong Hua, and end up with Xiao Yao in the end, and also his unfortunate life with his family led to both him and Xiao Yao into suffering love sickness. All the
characters have flaws. There's a reason why I don't find anything wrong with Jing making burden of 15 years to WXL in that situation.

why Tong Hua
made Xiang Liu as hero figure especially in Xiao Yao and Jing union. And theres a reason why I don't think any low of Jing for having to be saved by XL and for experiencing unfortunate events throughout. And he left as YSQ, because its his authentic self and to follow Xiao Yao roaming the other world...because CX/ZX had to lose her forever.

Yes...its very true.. There's only one plot. It depends on you to how you want to take on characters and their stories.
