actually there is bond between XL and Xiao Yao. Xiao Yao did not hate XL in anyway. About distrust, umm well she knew she and him had different mindset for future. Circumstances can count too maybe. So shes not counting on him in that in anyway even if she's attracted to him as woman to a man like that. Nope I still dont think he's the man she wanted deep down.

its well written character indeed. The way he treated XY is questionable throughout the story from start to end. Especially initially because it reminds me of real life abusers. thats why like you I have very mixed feelings about XL throughout. And I tried to
opened up to yaoliu romance by contrasting it with yaojing everytime I come back with stronger feel for Yaojing...so yep...I have nothing to say to those who are too convinced about Yaoliu. then again yep none of the characters pure saint here...their actions have reason... for me XL, how he had become, doesnt stand as good romantic partner for XL although he is a good character. But yep Im seeing many are not gonna agree... so yep either one side
must be delusional i guess.

I watched it back in late 2016 . this drama had quite impact on me although its tragic. I disliked tragic in general. But I like this one. I think after so broken heart from her ex bf, and it felt like she was reborn into goreyo period. I think its because of Wang Wook, 8th prince gentle nature , that heals Haesoo too even if he already had a wife. I dont like how that love story took long too because I am not fan of the 8th prince. I dont know its just something in him that must have made me not so trust of him. Im more intriged by 4th prince (CX from LYF also reminds me of him) although he's rough. But my favorite character has to be baek ah, 13th prince, throughout the show. 10 th prince was fun but it took him long time to admit he loved his wife . Oops..! sorrry spoiler..but I hope you watched till end. I especially glued to it after ep11. It is another masterpiece story from Tong Hua. Its meaningful. I havent seen original chinese version. But I think the Korean version is well produced. I love the casts. To me it deserves that 8.7 score.

lol your thoughts all reflect mine when I first finished watching S1. Exactly the same for all the characters and plot. But I didnt skip Hou and ffyy scenes even though I loathe them so much.😈

This drama was mostly spoilers for me. Because I was somehow thinking it will ended tragic. Like in the end XY ended up with no one and she accompanied CX but not as couple. Or she become royal mother stay at jade moutain. (She cant escaped her fate to be there or something). And I also thought after breakup with Jing, XY would start romance with either XL or FL. Because I mean XY stayed with XL for 37 years , although i dont think its deep romance feelings from her side. 37 years bond is still that can developed to something. 😅 Or XY and FL could start romance although it sounded like they started it out with business proposal. All my assupmtions are wrong. And I am very happy they are all wrong.
Anyway, let's wait for season 2 altogether. ..🍻🥂💕

She loved all three guys in different ways. And in romantic sense, I strongly believe XY loves YeShiQi most. She fell for him before he confessed to her.But yeo they are destined but worked for it too. If you said this TSJ engagement issue is Makjang, then I think plotlines with the other two mls are not free from that title too. Don't u think its a bit not so true to think "he could not keep that promise in whatever, then he is such loser". But then I guess its just your feelings. You seemed to be quite convinced that XY only choose TSJ because he confessed to her. Since i also do not think thats the case. Because the other two guys are not in her mind in that way. In other words, the other guys are not born for her for that destination.
Because we can't assume anything. As for that plot, that plot was intended a lot consequences. XY knowing her own heart she could actually love a guy, more than she think. XL involvement, and, ZX more jealous&hatred on Jing, rather his looking down on Jing won't be able to look after XY.XL did not think like that. He know both XY&Jing well. As yaojing plotline, probably the whole plot, its
implied its their driven action that lead to destination. Especially in YaoJing , they both yearn their union positively. If one could not even believe in it, theres no starting. Therefore nothing happens. And failures not always equal to loser. But all in all we are viewers, therefore we can all take our own pov.
Edit: I guess that with all these debates, we all still have things that we enjoy in the drama. So just take what you enjoy. 💜

Well she did cry for XL when she heard the news of his death. She only came to care about XL after she got Jing back. Or its the way I think. Yes XY was very devastated about XL. She wished that their lasting meeting was better and she didnt say those angry words to him when she didnt actually mean it.To me she loved all the
three guys ,which one she loved better, I am still not sure. But i am very when it comes to
husband-wife love, I am so sure Tu Shan Jing is number one for her. And I do not think she'd prefered XL if he confessed. And he's not the kind to do that especially when she has another man. XY is who she has become. And she, in the way who she is, fell in love with YeShiQ, not ZX or XL in who they have
become. My point is XY, with who she is , choose YeShiQi for who he is. Circumstances are circumstances.

assumptions. We will never know. In different circumstances, XY still can fall in love with Jing.
...For me while reading the book, XL.gives me vibes of being her twinflame (more on platonic side) and Jing is her romantic soulmate.

And the first scene she helped him bath I don't think I don't think it would have contained if its not meant starting of her attraction to him which made her so awkward when he mentioned it at Dragon Bone Prison.

She could not be sure YSQ is in love with her or it is gratitude. But she's already showing her jealousy about other women around him. Well she is shy from him since she treated him though which had not happened with anyone before him.
About this temptation thing..maybe I have used the wrong word. But what I am meaning is if love is something that cannot be controlled, despite all odds, would she felt more desired about this romance from heart reaching to her mind. At least give a thinking to it because she wont make first move. Maybe because I believe more in driven action than "true romantic
love is merely attraction that is could be sleeping if there are odds!" And yep i our circumstances drove us to what we do. So my take is whatever had shaped to become XY what XY is, how she take actions towards her surrounding.And I can't
assume what would happened if in different situation. So we can all assume what we like I guess. Thats only my take.

well they will still believe what they want to. And we will stick with ours too. although XY is attracted to XL, it isnt the same romantic love XY habours for Jing. There is no gurantee for saying what would happen in in different situation. Because it isnt. We will only take what it is given. if love is uncontrolable thing than if XY may have prefered XL, no matter what situation it is, she would have shown more temptation towards him. But nope, she's already counting on YeShiQi even before his feelings are made known. She couldnt be sure if his feelings were love or gratitude towards her saving him. Thats my take for now.

100% agree with this comment...its her heart that chose Ye Shi Qi. She fell for way back before his feelings made known. If her inner heart didnt desire YeShiQi, she wont be that disappointed when his true identity revealed. Love is something that can't be control. If she's fell in love such way for other two guys she would be more tempting after them. But she still loves all 3 guys differently anyway . 💚💙

well it depends on how you see it. but its one side kiss for me. and also I think the most intimate scene in the whole novel is Jing&XY passionate kiss, I love how she kiss his knees first, in chapter 20. As for whole scenes of XL&XY 37 years in chapter 22, He embraces her quite often, and craved and enjoyed his company because she dont like to be alone. Yep her body felt warm when he put his soul blood into her. I dont just find the same pounding romantic feelings from XY towards XL. But we dont really
need to compare contrast those two scenes ...it will be too long...because fans will still take what they like?.

yes yes u are likely right ...even with that love bug connection, xl is still not in her mind (except when she woke up chapter 48 because she cant die)....because to XY , ordinary life must be with Jing only. The others are all dead..

I have already answered that question. To be more specific on a personal answer, she wanted to contribute that side of her. Her career and research of that medical book which helped her first before she actually gave in herself to marriage.
