Well yep after reading Ms Koala translation and another translation of language of country where I am living in, Im too super purely 100+++% sure XY prefer Jing as romantic partner by her woman's nature. There's no lines in the novel to convince me that XY would have prefer XL. Nope! And giving argument that well if he given her chance. NOPE! Not a good reason. If it is a good reason, thinking of XL in that way should come to her naturally when he was FFB and some other times they are together . Even if it sounds impossible her instincts love for him should have tried him out somewhat convinced to her. So its not strong enough. Only because viewers/readers are mostly used to bickering raw couple meaning it works same here. If its only because of the situation that XY is swayed to love another. Then its not strong love neither its confirmed that what if too. Its purely my own feel getting from words and chapters I read, not from other points of views and other commenters. i dont care about other situation would XY choose XL, because it will not be this story. Let me add a little more. Aside my personal remark on XL, I did actually enjoy YaoLiu in my own way in many scenes , its just I don't ship them as romantic couple even theres some romantic elements to them. For me YaoLiu represents more of healing traumatic, sympathy, free the spirit for now thing to one another. I dont believe in this theory of it's strong feelings but not tempting because the reasons blah blah. Whereas with Jing she's already counting on him like if he would helped her escape XZ's capture in chapter 8. And she's jealous of those women around him even when he hadnt confessed feelings to her yet and she's still in her man body.. With XL, I do not find her feeling anything that way. All scenes compared, more romance words used on YaoJing. And I also think XL helped YaoJing a lot knowing how much TSJ weigh in XY heart through love bugs. (Yep counting his mission to fulfill gong gong too). Or else would a selfless man who is likely to push away a girl he likes to another man because of his priority make a good life partner? I somehow get that he's gone moody when she said she was doing for other person. It sort of reminds me of a friend who said her husband would use physical violence when got such into mood state that she finally divorced him. I never had this experience directly but people surrounding me. I understand what you said about XL action. Yep agree if hes really that controlling he won't let her do what she actually wanted. It's mature action (though still questionable to me times). But i guess thats they could not be together. About TSJ being a "doormat" my opinion is what XL said in chapter 47.. "He’s not a vindictive person, but he’s also not a weak fool. In hundreds of years, I’ve never once taken any advantage from him. He can time and again endure Tu Shan Hou only because he treats Tu Shan Hou as a relative." Despite, TSH treatment, Jing still loves him as brother as he said Hou was once a loving brother. I wish TH has add how Hou became twisted. To me its no difference to XY love for CX. But thats how I think. Whatever name you call TSJ. He's only weak when it comes to those he loves.
