TWOT might not be perfect but it’s still a good drama. the pacing may be slow and the plot might be overly romanticized but it still remains engaging. some aspects may feel unrealistic but the drama also highlights real life struggles that many people face in today's time and era. also, the chemistry between the two leads may not be electrifying but that beautiful and sweet connection between the two is clearly visible.
we all know that not everyone in the world is perfect, super talented, or always making the right choices. when we watch shows, we’re so used to seeing almost perfect heroes and heroines which has shaped our viewing expectations. It’s made us expect main protagonists to always have these super strong personalities or standout traits. the FL here in thsi show is not the typical assertive type when it comes to her profession or even personal life like often seen in other dramas, but that’s exactly what makes her character more grounded and relatable, at least for me. Flaws don’t make a character weak; they make them human, an ordinary human.
and to those saying the leads "don’t know how to act"; im not sure what they 're talking about. CZY & LJ may not be the best actors out there, but their performances are far from bad. I would say its actually good because i can feel their emotions through their eyes or whatever they're trying to portray.
