Like, for example, there's an entire scene where Ramil says he doesn't eat human food for sustenance. But then he'll complain to Punn how hungry he is and in response, Punn will cook him human food - make it make sense... No wonder why you're always hungry!

At least in My Golden Blood, they were getting synthetic blood via blood transfusions...

I have a really stupid question... if time never stops in the portrait, won't it be like Ramil and Punn never left?

Because wasn't the point in Ep.6 that when they escaped into the portrait to heal Ramil's wounds, when they returned to the real world, it would be as if time had never had not passed?

I understand if time stops in the painting, but continues as usual in the real world (because Ramil was sealed inside the painting for 100 years but time outside the painting still passed, but ig it was only a few seconds technically from lol) , however when they returned from the painting, it was the same night that the original attack happened despite them being inside for at least 2-3 nights based on their sleep patterns ... so now I'm confused lol

All of them are saying emotional goodbyes, Ramil gave Methas instructions on how to care for the roses, and Punn said they'd visit frequently, but wouldn't it be like they'd return to the real world and it'd be the same day they left? They could easily spend lifetimes inside the portrait without missing a moment of their loved ones lives too... technically...? Did I misunderstand how this space-time defying portrait work 🤣

I love the fun cereals- my Fruit Loops, Frosted Flakes, Coco Puffs etc. but guess it’s cuz sometimes I just want plain Cheerios 🤷🏻‍♀️
I’m basic like that, but in world of proliferating unique BL series, sometimes I just want to eat comfort food.

The great news is you have a lot more choices than a few years ago, and dropping this drama probably won’t be any skin off your back with so many great options continuing to air this year.

Putting aside execution, GMMTV has been diversifying their settings and plot-lines outside of the stereotypical school themes.
We had criminal 10 Things I Hate About You, 2 vastly different vampire series, exes at the office, a well executed idol meets director series (weirdly enough, there really aren’t that many idol BLs despite starring so many idols lol), a pre-WWI, class defying romance, an amnesiac prince, and a psychic x doctor run away series. While not all of them were my favorite, there were some gems there and I would genuinely be sad if I’d never seen ThamePo or My Magic Prophecy. Sure GMMTV puts out a lot of mid dramas, but the excitement for me is finding those few shows that shine in my eyes, and as for the rest of them, I just drop them and move on 🤷🏻‍♀️

I agree with you. Also saved that baby from being raised by two scumbags. Bad parents are show to be a life ruining theme in this show. If a professor is willing to drug/SA/film/leak that footage - and it’s shown it isn’t his first rodeo- and his wife stands by casually and lets that happen (while also berating the victim), I can’t see them being good parents.

There’s no way the wife doesn’t suspect something after all these years. When you’re with someone, you may not have a finger on the pulse as to what’s wrong exactly, but there’s always an underlying suspicion when something is truly off. And Ice can’t be the first and only one who’s accused her husband of something similar after being a repeat offender.

And having a father that not only preys on students like that but then also manipulates other students/victims to join him in his sick side hobby 🤢 I can only imagine what kind of father he’d be…

Is the BL world too interconnected? The song they used for the Ep. 6 Couch NC scene was also in the hotel hug scene of Revamp Ep.4. It’s called “I Want You to Stay” by Victor Lundberg (the artist behind I Remember from the ThamePo pilot trailer) and it’s not exactly a well known song. Is Victor Lundberg pawning off his songs to BL shows? Or is there one person behind all BL soundtracks? 😂

I just skipped to the end, so forgive me if it’s not 100%, but Xiao Shuhe decides to take poison ending his life as “revenge” (tricks DZA into thinking is a conciliatory peace drink- really laced with poison)/ unify the lands (vs. running away) and Duan Zi’ang is shown clutching his dead body, while spitting up blood.

XSH goes to the afterlife to see his brother, who has been waiting for him all this time.
He tells XSH to follow him, but XSH decides to wait.
He is quickly followed by DZA, who appears just as he did before he was emperor. They smile at each other lovingly, seemingly reunited in death/afterlife.
(Could be a mirage knowing Cdramas, but I choose the glass half full interpretation).

Just know that anyone who honestly believes Msnakes evil editing probably wasn’t voting for Junseo to begin with or was only using him as padding. At the end of the day, all that matters is how strong his 1-Pick is, since he’s very likely to make it to the finale. Just stay strong and keep voting for Junseo.
I’m a Leo 1-Pick, so I know how it feels to see so much hate for your pick; I have a few devices, so I’ll try to keep Junseo in my rotations and keep my fingers crossed that he makes it to the finale; it would be sad to lose such a good leader.

First fantasy/supernatural Cdrama I’ve enjoyed in a while after a handful of disappoints I've watched this year ❤️

I love how competent, resourceful, confident, and wise the FLis; there’s nothing remotely babyish, superfluous, or frustrating about her yet imo (there's still time for her to get amnesia or something though...).
ML is kindhearted, righteous, and a bit of a damsel in distress haha (I’m personally a sucker for a damsel ML being consistently saved by his white knight FL).
Watching their budding love story unfold every episode has been a treat- it’s not too slow, not too fast.
And the fact that every episode is peppered with scenes between the leads means I’m not over-inundated with them, so I savor every time they come into contact with one another during an episode- so far, they're kinda doing their own thing, united every episode by the circumstances of their professions.
Better yet, the plot outside the romance is very exciting and face paced, keeping me interested in everything in between those moments where the leads light up my screen.
The supernatural cases aren’t revolutionary, but they’re solid and paired with some really nice cinematography and effective blocking.
My only issue is I have to pirate the show despite the fact that I’m subscribed to both WeTV and Viki…😒

I can’t for the life of me understand this rating, but oh well. Ratings usually level out to be more accurate once the show is over anyways. It has more than 30 episodes to work with and hopefully change everyone's mind. I hope this continues to have this level of quality from start to finish and doesn’t implode at the end…

Oh man, this hits hard for an only child that only has their parents. I moved around a lot as a kid and my parents are the only constant in my life. They’re my closest relationship, and we all have a very strong bond, like In and his family did. I think about how if they die I’ll have no one and no reason to live frequently. It sounds crazy, but it’s true. I imagine there’s a lot of us only children out there that feel this way.
I can’t even fathom both my parents dying at the same time, much less experiencing the blame and survivors guilt In likely experiences on a daily basis. I think I wouldn’t be able to keep on living atp; I know I definitely would sell my parents house and probably never go back to anywhere we’d lived before. I really don’t know how In does that annually.

I am really so glad we got to know more about Dr. Thap and how he’s drowning as the glue keeping his family together. He probably has the worst experience with fortune tellers I’ve ever seen; crazy that now he’s about to date a fortune teller 😆
I really can’t wait to know more about his family situation outside of having to be the perfect eldest son though.
What’s up with his relationship with his dad?
What happened when his family nearly lost their entire fortune to fortune tellers (is this why Thap has to be even more responsible)?
Thap actually has a crazy life story and I cried a little bit on this inside when he basically said he’s a doctor so his mom can show face.
Between In trauma dumping everywhere and Dr. Thap’s life at stake, whenever Dr. Thap unloads little distressing tidbits here and there about his own life, like a WW2 survivor grandma, the show quickly brushes past that and I’m like: EXCUSE ME. HIS DAD STOPPED TALKING TO HIM FOR YEARS? You don’t have a follow-up question to that, In?! 🤣
Anyways, can’t wait to know more about his backstory soon! I'm really enjoying this show every week 😊

100% agree; I'd prefer they leave the NC scene to our imaginations. Please cut away and it's morning- anything would be less painful than that pitiful attempt at the end of this recent episode! I think back to the intimacy in My Beautiful Man. One of my favorite intimacy scenes is in the Eternal movie, where they're in the bathtub together and it cuts away, only leaving the audience with the sound of echoing moans that become faster and more fevered, the sound of kisses and splashing water, and one stray rubber duck. It leaves pretty much everything to the imagination and yet it's still hotter than whatever I saw with Mashiro just laying there, like dead weight on Kanade... I see potential in the actors (maybe that's wishful thinking), I just need the directing to step it up a notch...

Reading this was hilarious 🤣 I love some aspects of this show, but the kissing/ NC scenes have me feeling uncomfortable in all the wrong ways. There's legit goosebumps on my arms from watching them lie, motionlessly and dispassionately, on top of each other, like two ragdolls. It's genuinely unsettling to see something both so human and yet so robotic... very uncanny valley...

I've rewatched this drama too many times... how does it break my heart and heal it anew each time?
