Wow, I was hooked from start to finish. The Price of Confession is intense, smart, and never boring for a single minute. The two female leads are phenomenal, delivering powerful performances that completely steal the show. Packed with suspense, mystery, and chilling mind games, this drama keeps you on edge the entire time. Dark, gripping, and unforgettable. An easy 10 out of 10.
Great cast, and I genuinely like the actors, so I don’t want to be negative. However, after episode two, the story starts to feel weak. Three university students who are supposed to be studying are instead spending their time walking around campus putting up heart-shaped stickers with photos of their crushes, which doesn’t feel realistic at all. If you’re going to do a university BL, it should at least feel believable. University life should focus more on studying and personal growth, not posting pictures of your lover all over campus. I’m also hoping the entire 12-episode plot won’t just be Duang chasing after Qinn, with Qinn playing hard to get the whole time and only accepting his love at the very end. I really like the cast, but after the second episode, the storyline just isn’t working for me so far.

I agree with you. Even though the plot is messy, I genuinely enjoy this show. It is the only BL right now that keeps me excited for Saturdays. The entire crew, staff, and cast work day and night to bring this series to life. If it is not your cup of tea, that is fine. Just move on. There is so much negativity, and I cannot help but think about how the actors might feel reading those comments. This kind of negativity is exactly what gets shows cancelled. I like this show, and I agree with you. It is not for everyone, but it is for us.

I’m honestly so glad I was right to defend Than from the very beginning. He loves Akin so deeply that he would never cheat on him. This whole mess is really Akin’s fault, he left without saying a word and went on to raise another child all those years. They should have confronted everything together, the three of them, like they did at the end of episode 8, not years later. On top of that, Akin seriously needs to get on his knees and apologize to Than for misunderstanding him and hurting him for all these years. Than spent so long being blamed and suffering in silence for something he never did. I know miscommunication is a common trope, but are we really expected to believe this? Dragging it out for eight episodes was just too much.

What currency are you referring to? I paid $20 AUD to watch the finale live online from home.
The $60 you mentioned was for the live event in Thailand, where people attended in person, met the cast face to face, received merchandise, and got autographs. That’s a completely different experience and not comparable to online streaming.
Events like that also require funding to hire venues such as shopping centres, cinema complexes, production spaces, and staff, so of course there are real costs involved.
If this was truly a cash grab, they wouldn’t have released the first 12 episodes for free on YouTube. The main story was accessible to everyone without paying anything.
Also, where do we draw the line? Revenged Love, for example, had the first 5 episodes free and then required a paid subscription from episode 5 to 24. Would you call that money-grabbing too?
And what about shows that aren’t on YouTube at all and are only available on platforms like iQIYI or GagaOOLala, which require paid subscriptions from the start?
Supporting financially was optional, not forced. People paid because they wanted extra access or to support the production, not because the story was locked behind a paywall.

The only paid content was a special episode, and it cost under $20. Even then, it was released for free a couple of weeks later.
Paying the additional $20 also meant you got to watch the episode live and see all the actors talk about the show and sing on stage, so it was definitely worth it.
They obviously need funding to produce quality work, but paying was never forced or locked behind the story. Supporting them was entirely optional.
I even tipped $100 purely because I wanted to support the cast and production team, not because I had to.

I agree with you, To My Shore is better and deserves a higher rating. But they’re two different genres: one is toxic, and the other is green-flag. I like both, best to enjoy both worlds.

I agree with you, they can really act and their chemistry felt genuine, like a real couple.
That’s why I was so disappointed with this series. I dropped it after episode 3 because it was just so boring.
Such a waste of a great cast and so much potential, all let down by a weak plot.
