It because it chinese bl that all they are starving uncensored bl and that the first one that can get over censorship…
PikaBLlover is one step ahead of me, 100% agree with that list! š Hopefully Kill to Love can be added once itās released. Iām really looking forward to it ā our first proper Chinese historical/martial arts BL. It feels like such a big step for the genre, and I canāt wait to see how they bring it to life!
I agree 100%! I love those flashbacksāespecially the ones we havenāt even seen before. They really do feel…
We definitely have to meet up in person once this show finishes to talk about it. I swear, everything you say is always on point, and we always end up agreeing with each other.
It because it chinese bl that all they are starving uncensored bl and that the first one that can get over censorship…
I get what youāre saying, and yes, the ban itself definitely fuels curiosityāpeople naturally want to see whatās forbidden. But to answer your question on why Revenged Love is so popular because China produces the best BL. When it comes to potential, Thailand š¹š, South Korea š°š·, and Taiwan š¹š¼ simply canāt match China in certain areas. China dominates in cinematography, acting, storytelling, chemistryāand letās not even start on their costume dramas and fight scenes. The scale, elegance, and intensity are just on another level.
Take The Untamed for exampleāit was heavily censored and still pulled in billions of views. Now imagine the impact of a high-quality, uncensored Chinese BL with the same level of production. The talent is already thereāthey just need the freedom to fully unleash it.
Hereās hoping that in the next 20+ years, a new generation of leadership in China šØš³ will be more open and accepting, because when that happens⦠the world wonāt be ready.

I have to say, Revenged Love is one of the top-rated shows on both MDL and IMDb for a reasonāitās loved by…
Thank you for your comment. Just to clarifyāIām bisexual, not gay. Iām attracted to both men and women, and I enjoy watching both straight and gay dramas and series. For me, itās never about the sexuality of the dramaāitās about the plot, acting, and genre. For example, I love Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad just as much as I love Call Me By Your Name or Brokeback Mountain. The same goes for TV dramasāwhether itās The Glory (K-drama) or Heartstopper (BL), what matters is how well the story is told.
As for Revenged Love, yes, itās one of the first Chinese BL to break through heavy censorship, but its success isnāt just about being āuncutā or having NC scenes. Itās because it has great acting, a strong plot, and genuine chemistry between the leadsāthings any good drama needs to succeed.
It because it chinese bl that all they are starving uncensored bl and that the first one that can get over censorship…
FYI, Revenged Love isnāt the first uncensored Chinese BL. There are already at least 12 completed uncensored BLs I can name, and many more out there.
1. Addicted 2. Moon and Dust 3. Trapped in Osaka 4. The Sparkle In Your Eye 5. Infidelity, Itās a Disease 6. A Sketchy Job! 7. Blue Canvas of Youthful Days 8. Secrets Happened on the litchi Island 9. Falling in Love with a Rival 10. Precise Shot 11. In Your Heart 12. Wordless
I have to say, Revenged Love is one of the top-rated shows on both MDL and IMDb for a reasonāitās loved by…
Firstly, please double-check your spelling and grammar in your comment because it doesnāt really make sense as written. Secondly, Iām a 30-year-old guy from all the way in Australia, and most of my friends watch this too. Unless you have actual data or evidence to prove that the majority of viewers are underage teenage girls, itās not fair to make that claim without solid proof.
And even if there are under-18 teenage girls watching, thereās nothing wrong with that eitherāgood shows are for everyone to enjoy, regardless of age.
Because episode 19 is 45 minutes and episode 20 is also 45 minutes, and episode 19 only aired an hour ago, itās impossible to have finished both without speeding through ā thatās 90 minutes of content in just 60 minutes.
I donāt understand why so many people say that this is a well done BL series⦠I watched ep1 and I didnāt…
I have to say, Revenged Love is one of the top-rated shows on both MDL and IMDb for a reasonāitās loved by millions around the world. Like you mentioned, youāve only watched 1 episode out of 24āthatās around 4% of the whole story. Maybe give it a couple more episodes before making a final judgment.
For me, itās a masterpiece because of the amazing acting, well-paced and engaging plot (I was never bored for a second), and the incredible chemistry between the leads. The tension, emotion, and connection feel so real that you canāt help but get pulled in.
Iāve watched over 300+ BLs in the past 10 years, and Iām comfortable saying this is my favourite oneāit ticks all the boxes for me. Sometimes, you just have to let a story unfold before deciding if itās worth it.
My mum is everything to meābecause in life, you only get one mother. She carried me for nine months, gave me life, and sacrificed so much for me. If she were ever terminally ill, in her final days I would drop everythingāeven my businessājust to be by her side. I would feed her, just like she fed me when I was little. I would care for her, just like she has cared for me all my life. Because money can always be made again⦠But a mother? You can never get her back. š Which is why Wu Suo Weiās mother breaks my heart. She thought she was protecting him, but keeping her terminal illness a secret is its own kind of cruelty. She even pressured Chi Cheng to hide itā leaving him trapped, torn between honesty and her dying wish, while his partner misunderstood and thought he was still running back to his ex.
The only way I can imagine her truly winning our hearts back is in Episode 19 at the hospitalā she reaches out with trembling hands, holding Chi Cheng in one hand and Wu Suo Wei in the other. Through tears, she whispers:
āI accept you. I accept your love with Chi Cheng. He is a good man with a good heart, unlike your ex, Yue Yue. Itās okay if I never get grandkids, because I will soon see your father in heaven. All I want⦠is for you to be happy, my loving son.ā
If that moment comes, it will break me completely⦠and yet, it will heal everything too. š„
They decided what's good for us and for the show , so please stop complaining , it's will end anyway so let's…
Ahaha, I see. And just to clarify ā nope, not a girl. Just an Aussie guy here, fully invested in this BL like itās my full-time job or something š
For everyoneās information, these are the reasons why Revenged Love dropped all episodes.
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________ According to industry sources, the film has several scenes shot in Tianjin, and coincidentally, this coming September, Tianjin will host the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit ā a major international event attended by many heads of state.
Along with that comes an extremely strict media censorship period, especially for film content featuring images related to areas where the event is taking place. Moreover, August and September also include major holidays such as August 15 (Victory over Japan Day) and September 3 (National Military Parade), so ālaying lowā is perfectly understandable.
That is why the production team decided to speed up and shorten the overall broadcast schedule ā to wrap up early, avoiding sensitive timing and unnecessary troubles from the censorship process.
Guys, I know most of you are shocked that theyāre releasing the remaining episodes in just the next 5 days. I was shocked too when I heard the newsāand honestly, I got emotional knowing this masterpiece will end so soon. š But letās take a moment to look at the positives. Firstly, instead of ending on 26th August, it will now wrap up on 12th August. Thatās only 2 weeks ahead of schedule, not an entire month. And really, thatās not bad. Itās not like they fast track 10 episodesājust 5.
Secondly, Iād much rather finish this masterpiece in 5 days than live with the fear that the homophobic censorship in China could cancel it altogether. Remember that week when Revenged Love didnāt air, and we all panicked? I donāt ever want to feel that again.
So yes, itās bittersweetābut once itās finished, we can rewatch it as many times as we want, dive into the BTS clips, and keep discussing it here. Because for me, this show will always hold a special place in my heart, no matter when it ends. š„
I might be in the minority but this new release schedule makes me so sad. I like to let the episodes linger for…
