So, if the spy at the Jiang residence was planted 7 years ago by Duke Su. It means that, the SYR residence was…
SYR family was initially poor and lived in the same city that XFF grew up in. They only moved to the capital when he took up the position in court, likely 6 months to a year prior to the events in episode 1. More than likely, since he was a low man at court initially, XH probably didn't plant a spy until after Wanning took an interest in him.
He seemed to know when he saw the funeral procession. His words indicated that SYR was acting.
I mean, I definitely took it to mean he didn't believe YSR was really mourning his wife....but I just now connected the dots that he likely knew in real time, what YSR had done to his wife.
wait so…. XH said he had spies in all of the courts households right? So that’s means when he saw XFF at the temple in episode 2, he’d already known what YSR and his family had done to her. right?
I think at some point he was told or he is intelligent enough to understand that the person before him is not…
I mean, based on the Emperors body language in 24/25, its seems to me he already knew JL was not JL. I also think it is more likely that that XH would've shared his suspicions to the Emperor in the beginning with the added sentiment of 'Lets let it play out to see what she is up to because I think we can use her.' instead of later, when he was in love with her and he'd gained her trust during the events in Luyang and with freeing her father.
Do you think XH told the Emperor early on that he suspected JL was really XFF? Because in the court scene where the Princess tries to expose her, he's not surprised by the accusation, just angry at the Princess making a scene.
you'll see his intentions fleshed out more as the drama progresses! but to summarise without spoiling too much:…
I would also add, that the princess targeted him with the intention of breaking his integrity and honor. She essentially broke him down, and built a monster.
I doubt he thinks a woman able to survive in the palace is an innocent dove and he didn't care about Jiang Li's…
I think it would be interesting to see what would have happened if Consort Li didn't die. Likely she would've continued wanting to teach JL a lesson so she can get justice for her sister. But I cannot imagine XH would tolerate it....you think XH and the Emperor would've eventually ended up in a disagreement?
You know, the more I think about it.....While I understand that the Emperor had to see the bigger picture.....he still was in love with a woman who he knew took part in trying to drug and ruin JL's reputation as well as killed a maid she was jealous of....and did nothing.
